Met with Susan who showed me all options. She answered my questions so I could make an informed decision and gave me a quote. I had taken pictures of the windows and brought measurements so she had a general idea of the cost. I decided on blinds in 3 rooms and a "top down, bottom up" shade for the window over my kitchen sink. She scheduled Barry go to my home to measure. He arrived on time and showed me different color samples so I could choose something that blended in with the color of the trim. He figured the cost and I gave a check for 50% downpayment He said it would be 2-3 weeks for them to be custom made and sent to the shop. I got a call about 3 weeks later from the installer, Richard and we set the appointment. Richard was on time, got right to work and installed the 6 blinds and 1 shade in a little over an hour. He explained how they work, asked if I had any questions and made sure I was happy with them. He cleaned up after himself, removing all packing material and debris. Before the first order had been installed, I visited the show room again to see what was available for the sliding door that goes to the deck. Barry met with me, showed options and I made my selection and said he will have Richard measure when he installs the blinds, which he did, making sure he knew how I wanted them installed and which way they opened/closed. I prefer to buy local and would not hesitate to recommend The Shade Shop. The items are custom made, so they cost more than a box store, but you know what you are getting and you have people who will stand behind the service..
