CALDER CITY TAXI

I don't own a car so I rely on public transportation and taxi services to get to where i need to go and this company has to be the worst taxi service I have ever dealt with. When you call to schedule ride they are rude and tend to act like you are an inconvenience to their day. When you ask how long it will be they say 10-15 minutes and then it ends up being a half hour or longer! If you call and ask for a ride at a specific time and explain that you have somewhere to be they will pretend like they are going to pick you up on time and then show up late and when you call to find out what is going on everyone acts like it is someone else's fault and never solves the problem. They are EXTREMELY unreliable and if you aren't a regular customer that calls on a daily basis they put you to the back of the line which results in being late 75% of the time. When you do get a driver, half of them don't speak English and are unable to find their way around the city. I cant count the number of times I had asked for a ride at a certain time and received a call from the driver 40 minutes later asking me for directions to my apartment. I am just shocked that a company with service this poor is able to maintain such a high reputation. I asked for a ride from Aquinas College one night and the dispatcher sent the driver to Calvin and when I called to find out why he proceeded to yell at me and tell me that I said Calvin and that he would never mix that up. When I explained to him that I have never set foot on Calvin's campus and that I ask for rides from Aquinas three to four times a week and that there was no way I would ever call for a ride at Calvin College he, he called me names, told me I was dumb and hung up the phone. If you are a new customer, Yellow Cab Company is a much better service.
