Grand Blanc Auto Repair & Tire

I bought my 02 grand prix about 5 years ago and didn't have any work done to it so there was a lot I ended up just doing all at once. I brought it in to get an inspection for clunking I would hear in the front only during turns. The mechanic, Rick, looked at it and found a lot that needed fixing. He showed me I had two broken control arm bushings and I believe the sway bar was disconnected/worn out. I also had 2 bad wheel bearings that he showed me. None of that really suprised me because I hadn't had it checked out for the entire time I owned the car. I had worn out my tires really bad too that were made worse from the broken front end parts and wheel bearings. So I got all new tires order for a great price. After he started doing the oil change, he noticed my coolant had oil in it. This was when things started to get expensive and I thought about just leaving it but after some thought I decided that I would invest in the car and keep it a while. I gave Rick the go ahead to fix the oil leaking into the coolant which was from my intake manifold. Throughout the whole ordeal Rick demonstrated his deep understanding of mechanics and was really helpful in explaining all the repairs I really needed and which ones weren't safety issues. With an older car with a good amount of miles on it, I didn't want to put to much money into it, they worked with me and gave me a deal on a lot of the work because I was having so much work done through them. All in all, my car was in and out in a few days running much better than before with all new tires. It was a relief working with a mechanic who was clearly trustworthy. I will be returning to grand blanc auto anytime I need work done thats for sure.
