I had a need for a quick turnaround: I knew visitors were coming for the weekend, and I had put off getting the carpets cleaned. So, I called three days before, and Mr. Benard was able to schedule my house for the next evening. He was a bit delayed from another job, but got to my house in a reasonable amount of time. The equipment he brought with him fit into his regular sized sedan, and so there was no big truck in my driveway, and no major machines or hoses in and out of my house. He went right to work, and the job took about 2 hours total. This was longer than the estimate, but my carpets were really in bad shape, as it had been too long since I'd had them done. And the results were really good. In fact, they looked great to me, but Mr. Benard himself was not totally satisfied. He offered to work on the area rug some more, but I was happy with it. The equipment he used was very quiet, and we were even able to have a conversation in normal voices while it was running. One of my dogs was present for awhile, and it didn't bother her at all. DryClean uses "neutral" products, not the regular chemicals that most cleaning companies use. There was no odor at all, and the rugs felt clean afterward, not like they were plastic-coated. He assured me that it would be safe for my pets. Also, the machine he used only used 2 gallons of water, as opposed to the more than 50 gallons that a traditional system uses up. At the end, I asked how often the rugs really should be done, and he recommended 6 months; many companies want to come back every 3 months. And even with the extra time and effort my carpets took, Mr. Benard only charged me the original estimate, $75. The other company I checked, which I had used before, came in at over $100. I have already recommended Dry Green to friends.
