My regular sprinkler company left my in a lurch when they shut down for the season. Michigan Sprinkler rode to the rescue. The charge was competitive They came out next day and were on time. The 2 technicians Dan and Devin couldn’t have been more professional.

After multiple attempts, and hundreds of dollars to repair a sticking zone valve, they were unable to repair. They kept charging me for sending crews including a fixed fee to return. One crew member sat around playing with his mobile phone until the other guy needed help to sight the zones that were being controlled. I eventually had to find a different company who identified the problem quickly and fixed ti. I have ripped the Michigan Automatics Sprinkler sticker off my sprinkler controller to make sure that when I sell the home, nobody makes the mistake I made.

Michigan Automatic Sprinkler maintained the sprinkler prior to me buying my Oakland County property. When I tuned on the sprinkler for the first time, there were immediate problems with stuck valves. We called them out to fix and seasonalize the system. Within 2 weeks it went out again. They returned with two guys this time. One sat in the truck and played on his cell phone. The other worked pretty much alone but couldn’t figure out why the system was not turning off zones. He replaced two valves and some sprinkler heads. I got a second bill for a truck roll and for the hours that TWO guys spent on my property. I called to complain but they refused to address the issue. Then two weeks later a third issue on the system. These yo-yos were supposed to repair and do seasonal maintenance on the system. I spent more than $1200 for them to diddle around and still not get it right. I personally put in a 20-zone system with 120 heads and a lake pump on a 2-acre property in Colorado, so I know a bit about these systems. But I don’t have time to deal with this one myself. All I needed for these guys to do was address some simple problems on a 9-zone system. They could have replaced all the valves for that price. Once again this year the system has problems and I will go elsewhere for service. I don’t recommend Michigan Automatic Sprinkler because they have incompetent service personnel and charge exhorbitant service rates. The only reason I don’t give them 1 star is because they at least showed up on time.

Great company with great people. I had an issue with the company I previously used for my sprinklers. Michigan Automatic came out and gave me recommendations of what I should do. From that point, I decided to use them for my irrigation system and they have been nothing less than a pleasure to deal with. Neil and Cherie, the owners, were especially helpful with any questions I had. I would definitely recommend Michigan Automatic Sprinkle to anyone looking to work with a great company for their irrigation system.Ca

Have been using them for years.  They have good workers, but you are not guaranteed that you will get one of them.  If you request a certain worker, the request must pass by the owners and most of the time your request will be refused.  In that respect they are not customer oriented.

The final straw came when I added another zone.  An extra line was not run from the controller box to the new zone as should be done, instead the new zone, which was for a flower bed, shares a control with a zone for the lawn.  The lawn needs more time than the flower bed, but if there is an electrical problem such as loss of power even for a few seconds, the zones switch.  Then the flower bed gets maybe 25 minutes of water, flooding the area and the lawn zone gets 8 minutes.  They came out two times to fix the problem, never did and charged me again for each service call.  I will have to pay another company to get the job done right.

This company was recommended to me by someone knowledgeable about the irrigation business who said they were a long time Michigan company with a good reputation.  As long as the owners do not allow for consumer input and respect their customers, they will always be hit and miss.  I do not recommend unless you want aggravation.

They quoted $129 for the job, but after the service, presented a bill for $450 without prior authorization (which I paid). They then billed me $99 for *looking* at the neighbors pump located within five feet of mine indicating that they could not service it due to code issues. I've talked to the company four times telling them to stop sending me the invoice, and they indicated that only a supervisor could address the situation, who has of yet not called, but has continued to send me invoices.
