C & S Tile

Giving Scott and his crew only 5 stars feels like I’m understating my level of satisfaction! My partner is an experienced interior designer who had her own studio in Silicon Valley (California), and having worked with mostly an upscale clientele, was pretty savvy and precise with her desires and expectations. Her feelings about working with Scott are identical to mine, in that he really strove to understand our wants and expectations, was totally client-focused, and clearly wanted us to be totally satisfied with everything about our working together. Essentially the quality of workmanship was top-notch, he was a treat to work with, and did all he promised to do in the time frame agreed upon in our initial contractual discussion. Now, prior to hiring Scott, I acquired labor-only bids from two of the major building supplier retail outlets in the area, as well as a couple of other ‘remodeling’ specialists. We further researched this and other sites which offer customer reviews on contractors. The difference in pricing made our decision to employ Scott a no-brainer, and I consider this decision to be one of the best I have ever made!!! Also, something that my partner and I initially agreed upon prior to hiring anyone was that we needed to feel comfortable with the people we hired, and have a strong sense that they were highly trustworthy. Well. Scott and company scored 5+ stars on this scale as well. Yea, I’m starting to feel gushy as I write this, but all that I’ve stated here is valid. We are currently at our Florida island home, and continuing an extensive remodeling project begun last year. We’ve found no one down here that comes remotely close to approximating the quality of workmanship we experienced with Scott. He has set the bar extremely high!

At first, it was a little challenging to get Scott scheduled (he had multiple jobs going on a the same time). But once we did, he and Mike did an outstanding job installing the tile backsplash in our basement kitchen. During the quote process, Scott gave me an fair and accurate quote. He came out to look at the job, did measurements and reconfirmed the verbal quote he gave me over the phone in writing. I confirmed with him on the day just prior to the job that he was still going to come out. I did kind of wished he contacted me a few days ahead of time, just so that I wasn't left wondering if he was still going to show up. But he did say he was going to contact me just prior to me calling him. On the day of the job, he and Mike showed up on time and proceeded to work. During the job, we would ask me clarifying questions on a few items (e.g., placement of the tile, placement of the pencil edging, color of caulking matching the grout, etc.) just to make sure that I was going to be happy. It demonstrated his experience and customer-oriented skill in knowing what to ask and checking with us to make sure that in the end the project results were going to meet our expectations. If he was not sure, he did not just assume we wanted something and instead asked us. This was an example of his high level of professionalism and customer focus. In the end, they finished the job on time and exceeded our expectations in the quality and craftsmanship of the backsplash installation. There were no unpleasant surprises and they left the job site clean (and in some ways cleaner than it originally was!). We were even pleased that he gave us a 1 year warranty and offered to come out to fix anything if we noticed a problem later. Scott clearly knows what he is doing, has a solid amount of experience in the type of backsplash installation project we asked him to do and was professional throughout the process. We would definitely hire him and his brother, Mike, again. And in fact have some other projects in mind in the future.

I picked out and purchased the tile, and C&S did the cutting and installation. They also were very helpful in picking out grout color and other options. From their experience they know what looks good together. They were also able to give me recommendations on tile patterns based on their experience repairing other jobs. A very good resource, really. They arrived on time, and did a good job. No complaints on their work at all. The patterns on the wall lined up well. The cuts are sharp, and they spaced out the outlets properly. Took one day to complete. The job came in exactly at quoted level, no surprises there. They cleaned up well, and had professional level equipment. I'd have them come out again. No issues.

Scott and Duane from C and S Tile were absolutely wonderful! They displayed the upmost level of professionalism, expertise and care throughout the entire 7 hour visit. They were very patient with my daughter who wanted to watch every step and communicated with us through every step of the process. They made sure my entire kitchen was cleaned when they were finished and even cleaned the floors that they had walked on! The finished product looks even better than I had imagined and I couldn't be happier.
