Originally it went very well. We loved the design and the price was in line with other estimates. The crew arrived when promised, did good work and cleaned up. The result was beautiful. However, one of the downspouts was not re-attached to the house correctly and the strap securing it to the house fell right off. We had heavy winds in the spring of 2011 and the downspout blew all over. This repair could not wait or the downspout would completely break. My husband secured it to the brick on the house with a brick clip and a zip tie while I called Distinctive and left a message. Paul Klein returned my call a day or two later and assured me someone would be out in a few days to fix it. This was in April 2011. As I type this, it is September 2011 and no one has come to fix the downspout. I have made multiple phone calls. Three times Paul Klein has called back and assured me that he would send someone out to fix the downspout. The last time I spoke to him was on August 4th. He specifically told me someone would be out the next day, August 5th, first thing in the morning. No one came. At this point I have given up on anyone from Distinctive ever showing up and I will have to employ someone else to finish what should have been done correctly in the first place or should have been taken care of when it was brought to Distinctive's attention. Were I not married to a handy person that downspout would surely be broken. I really did not expect this, especially since when the work was being done in the spring of 2010, Mr. Klein assured me that he would be back the following spring to inspect the job again and make sure no problems had occured over the winter. Obviously this never happened, and since we did have a problem, this resulted in numerous phone calls and the situation described above. This is extremely unfortunate, since we were so happy with the original work, and that assessment has been marred by their failure to make a repair which would take a professional just a few minutes.
