I cannot express how disappointed I am in the Cleaning Safari. My initial meeting with Robert went well. He was professional and appeared interested in our business. We agreed to have someone clean our home every other week in the evening hours as I wanted to be there while the cleaner was in my home. The first time he sent someone, he came along to train her. I thought this was a good thing. The woman he assigned to our home was a very nice college student. Her cleaning was not up to par of other cleaning services I have used in the past but she was responsive to me pointing out things that needed to be done. She was not a detail oriented cleaner but did a good job on the bare basics. For some situations this may be fine but I look for a bit more when I pay someone to clean my home. The trouble first started when our cleaner called in sick. This is fine, as all people get sick at some time. Robert did not call me to tell me that nobody would be coming to our home until 6pm and the cleaner was to show up at 6:30. The next time I saw our cleaner, she had mentioned she had been sick all day, hence an earlier call from Robert would have been much appreciated and more professional. On two other occasions, I left work early to wait for the cleaner and she never showed up. On the first instance, I explained to Robert that if there is a problem he should call me in advance and let me know. When I spoke to the cleaner about it, she said, "Robert never told me I was scheduled". Which I do actually believe is the case as the cleaner was not an irresponsible woman and quite nice. The second time that nobody showed up was on July 3rd right before the 4th of July holiday. I called Robert to find out what the problem was and he never returned my call. Twelve days later I got a hold of him on the phone and he informed me that my home was too far away to clean and he would no longer be cleaning it. If this were the case, I'm not sure why he took the job on in the first place. Additionally, in June, I had asked Robert about sending a bill as 5 months had gone by without him sending a bill. I did not want to get a huge cleaning bill all at one time. Still no bill as of today. Although Robert is a relatively nice guy and did offer me one option for another service, I find him a poor manager of his business. If you are looking for basic cleaning and are not on a schedule, Cleaning Safari may fit your needs. If you are on any schedule at all or would like exceptional cleaning service I would try other options first.
