Tonys Tile Inc.

I entered into an agreement with Mr. Celeste in December, 2017 to demo and tile my kitchen and bathroom. He asked for 1/2 of the money up front and 1/2 at the completion of the project. The old floor was removed and the night before he was to begin the tiling, he demanded full payment BEFORE he would begin work. Naturally, I refused and asked him to come to my house the next day (the date he had agreed to begin the tiling) so that we could discuss this. He never showed up and has not returned the money he owes me in spite of my numerous emails to him. He also did not accept my certified letter nor did he go to the post office to collect it after repeated notifications by the post office. I now (3 months after he finished the demo) have to go to Small Claims Court to get my money back. He also left the kitchen and bath in disarray and completely covered in thick dust. Every surface in the kitchen had to be cleaned, including the walls and ceiling since he did not protect them with plastic. Dust was even in my kitchen cabinets and every object has to be cleaned inside.
