Sears

It's been one month and sears has been unable to repair our washer.  3 no-show appointments, 1 appointment was supposedly scheduled by a manager but never was scheduled so that was the 4th no show and 3 other appointments in which the technicians did come but the issue was not fixed.  Don't use sears. 

The tech arrived an hour past his scheduled window time. He did call however. Once here he quickly diagnosed the issue, which was a broken coupler from the motor to the agitator. He made the repair successfully. We also had the dryer serviced for preventive measure. All the lint was vacuumed out of the entire dryer including the motor, heating element and vents. It was also lubricated. The service tech was very polite, respectful and professional. We also had a 20% off parts and labor coupon from sears website which the tech welcomed openly. We would not hesitate to use Sears repair service in the future based on this experience.

We got at least three comparisons and Sears always comes back cheaper and with their Master Agreement, we couldn't ask anymore. We've used them for 14 years now. We're going to replace the second unit and we're going to be using Sears to replace it. We bought the Master Agreement at $230. We've had an issue needing major repairs and if we didn't have the agreement, it would have cost us close to $1000. They could not get the refrigerator to work after the third time and they actually replaced it as part of the Master Agreement. I don't feel like I have to worry about being cheated with them. When they make an appointment, they give a window period and they show up within that period.

They said it would be cheaper to get it new, but it wasn't. They gave me a price of 700 Dollars, and I told them that I could get a new dishwasher for that amount. I would use them in the future, and although there are so many people out doing the same thing, they have their name behind them.

They were very good. Labor Day sales are great.

They wanted to do a top grade package with 40 year shingles and I only wanted 20 year. I called them and told them that their price was not competitive. They originally quoted $11,000 and said that if I signed that day, they could drop it to $10,500. They said they couldn't match the price of the company I used. They were more than twice the company that I went with. They over spec'd and wanted to sell me a package that was more than I wanted. They did not meet my needs. They didn't have the flexibility to adjust to what I needed. I didn't have any problems with them; it was a price decision. They were honest and upfront. They didn't have competitive prices because they were selling an upgraded product. They said they prided themselves on their system and the quality of their product. It was easy to get an appointment and they were on time. They were very professional. We had used them previously to redo our kitchen about 5 years ago. We were very satisfied with that work so we would use them again. They did a superior job on that. Their workers are subcontractors.

I've used Sears for years and their service is just unreliable. You have to wait a long time for them to come. They don't have technicians available all the time. So I had to wait two weeks to get my dryer serviced. The worker who comes is nice. It's very frustrating. I grew up believing Sears was a name brand in the home. From the services ten or twenty years ago until now is just not good. They say they're going to come, you take off work and they come late.

They did an adequate job. We have no complaints with the service.

I had a great experience. It was very easy process.
