RC Duct Cleaning

Technician did not have a ladder tall enough to reach the second-floor vent from the outside. He had to crawl in my attic space to get to the end or the vent. Serviceman did it with no complaints and with a smile on his face the whole time. It was a smooth transaction through Angie's List and with the company. They came in, did the job, and left. Didn't try to sell me anything additional or pressure me into future service. Great job--highly recommend!

The RC Duct Cleaning personnel were very professional from the start - phone call to set up the appointment, reminder the night before, and the tech that cleaned my dryer vent. The only negative was that they were an hour later than the time window they gave me, but explained why and apologized. The tech did an excellent job and cleaned up all the lint that came out of my vent. I would definitely use RC Duct Cleaning again. Great service!!!

Larry, the technician, showed up early (fine there) and ready to get to work. He surveyed the scene and then went and got his tools to do the job. He told me how long it would take and he was spot on. He was professional and did a really good job. He even cleaned up an area where dryer vent lint had accumulated due to a leak in the hose. He was thorough and I was very pleased with him.

They overcharged me. The way they did the cleaning caused my husband to have an asthma attack and ended up in the hospital. I contacted them and I have not heard back from them. I have been livid. Other companies charge between $50 and $60 for the same work that this companies charges $200. They showed up with an industrial vacuum, like the one I have in my house. If I knew what they were going to do, I would've done it myself. They told me to open my windows because it gets dusty. I had no idea that the dust would get everywhere in the house. I had to rewash my dishes because it got in the cabinets. I had to wash my glasses so I could see. I had to wash everything that was sitting out. I wish I had known this ahead of time. I really think they should put a disclaimer telling you that your house will be covered in dust. The technician that came had a small leaf blower on his back that did the overhead vent and an industrial wet/dry vac which was also blowing. I had to clean the whole house when they were done. It was ridiculous. It was the worst experience of my life. I will never use them again and I would recommend that nobody ever use them. If you have asthma, you are going to end up in the hospital when they are done. The technician was very nice, polite and on time. It was a total scam and they were not professionals. I feel like I was ripped off. They did not have the sanitizer when they came and the office told me they would come back out and sanitize. They are unprofessional and don't have a professional cleaning system. He didn't show up with all the stuff he said he was going to.

Very professional in the work they performed. Cleaned duct from the outside of the home and then cleaned the duct from the inside as well. When requested also cleaned up behind the dryer with no reservations. Happy Customer.

It was one of Angie's List special. They did a great job. They were in and out in no time. I bought the big deal on March 5th and they came two days later. They were prompt, courteous and on time. I would use them again. They were real nice.

One the first occasion, RC showed up to my house during the time window that we had established which is always a good start. The two RC employees who were both professional and personable came into the house and performed all the vent cleaning responsibilities that they were contracted to do. After completion of the work, I had a question in my mind as to whether all the ducts were cleaned as one of the intact ducts was hidden behind furniture and there is a good chance that it could have been missed. I called RC about this and the delightful young lady that I spoke with replied that she would rather not take any chances so she scheduled another visit just to make sure that the work had been accomplished or get it done on that visit. She was a great representation of the company. On April 3rd, RC returned to my house and it was quite obvious that they had sent one of their senior employees on this trip as he was extremely professional and very knowledgable about the home duct systems as he gave me many tips of what to do and suggestions of routines to follow. His name was Matt C, and I am very glad that I had the opportunity for him to stop by. Matt checked all the ducts (with me) and we determined that all of the ducts had been cleaned which completely satisfied by doubts. Once again Matt was a wonderful representation of the company and if you have the opportunity to have him address your issues, you will be very happy that you did so. So yes, I would be happy to bring my business back to RC again.

I found them on Angie’s List. They were very professional throughout; right from the time I called, to the time the workers arrived to clean the air ducts. They were on time and they did a good job. I would use them again, and I would recommend them.

Overall, the workers were very kind and polite and explained what they were doing because I asked. My disappointment was discovering after they left there was debris left on all floors where the dry-vacs were sitting. They did not vacuum up the floors , so we had to do so after they left And they did NOT return some of the larger pieces of furniture that were pulled from the wall where floor vents were. I did not smell 'the fresh' sanitizing scent like I did at my neighbors house who had their ducts cleaned by another company. They told me to turn the furnace ON to circulate the air (duh), which I did............ but still never really smelled any fresh scent. But I AM HAPPY to have CLEAN DUCT WORK. They were very filthy with years of dust and pet hair. And I am not dusting as much.

1) took 6 weeks to get an appointment 2) the technician was 1 1/2 hours late, never explained what he was going to do and because of his being late, I was unable to keep a close eye on him while doing the work 3) all he used were two shop vacs 4) I never saw him use the ratty duct cleaning brush that was cordless drill driven 5) the vents were never sealed while cleaning the returns 6) at least one return vent was never touched 7) black smudges were left on the return air vents and nearby ceiling 8) the technician wore headphones the whole time working and clearly did not want to engage with the customer at any level

While they arrived only a few minutes after the appointed time... 1) Would NOT recommend this company. 2) Would NOT recommend Angie's List highly rated companies! 3) RECOMMEND Go to www.nadca.com to find a reputable service provider and print off the checklist. 4) Request quotes and understand the process. Go to www.epa.gov to also understand what "unscrupulous" businesses try to pull. Some information from the EPA.gov: 1. Make sure ducts are properly sealed and insulated in all non-air-conditioned spaces. This will help prevent moisture due to condensation from entering the system and is important to make the system work as intended. 2. Change filters regularly. 3. Be sure you do not have any missing filters and that air cannot bypass filters through gaps around the filter holder. 4. When having your heating and cooling sytem maintained or checked for other reasons, be sure to ask the service provider to clean cooling coils and drain pans. 5. When having renovation work or during construction that produces dust in your home, seal off supply and return registers and do not operate the heating and cooling system until after cleaning up the dust.

Perfect. He arrived explained the process and went to work.

Overall they did an ok job - the ducts are clean. However, I wasn't expecting the work on the back end (cleaning the walls and fixing the damaged wall around the vent).

My appointment was scheduled several weeks ago for Monday, February 13, 2012 between 9 and 10am. I rearranged several things at work in order to be home for RC Duct Cleaning. About 20 minutes before the scheduled arrival time, RC Duct called to say they had to reschedule the appointment. They offered no reason for the reschedule and showed no concern that I had taken time off work to be there for them. They told me to give them another time and they would put me right back on the schedule. I would not trust them to keep their word. I will not reschedule with them and will get a refund.

The receptionist with RC Duct Cleaning made scheduling the appointment very easy. The RC Duct Cleaning employees arrived within the estimated time and efficiently cleaned the dryer vents. They were courteous, professional, and thorough, very nice people. The deal turned out to be a bargain for the level of work performed, and I would use RC Duct Cleaning again.

Easy to schedule, prompt, very pleasant, and professional. Duct was cleaned quickly and enjoyed working with the technician. He gave me suggestions for another vent that we'd had birds nesting in the previous summer.

We needed to cancel and they were very courteous about cancelling our Big Deal coupon.

They were responsive. I called them, and they called me back within 1 or 2 hours. I did not use the service because I have more than one furnace.

That went reasonably well. My overall experience is not great. However, to be fair, there are a lot of other things that are at play, so I would say I am satisfied. I would like to know more about Angie’s List and use it more. I would never use their services again in the future.

I did have to call again because they had not showed up immediately. The house smelled good, and I didn't notice any difference. I had to wait for almost two months before I could get an appointment. They took my e-mail and told me that they would let me know in two years when it would be time to do it again.

A young man showed up at the appointment time. He introduced himself and was courteous. He examined the air handler and vent/intake arrangement in the house. He then returned to his van to get his large shop-vac. Spent maybe 25 minutes blowing compressed air and then vacuuming each vent. There was no way he could have reached a high intake without a ladder. He neither brought in a ladder nor asked to borrow one. I did not follow him around to see if any other vents or intakes were neglected. The service finished with him spraying the sanitizer near the air handler and turning the system fan back on to circulate it. Several years ago, when I had the ducts cleaned, they put suction on the whole system in addition to the vent cleaning. I have a shop vac, so I did not need to pay $200 (much less the $400 claimed full price) for someone to spend less than a half hour cleaning however far the hose reached into each vent. I should have been more careful about asking questions on what they considered "whole house duct cleaning."

I had my dryer vent cleaned from a wonderful technician. He was so pleasant and helpful. Additionally, I was out blowing the leaves, but my extension chord wouldn't reach. The technician went out of his way, by using his own extension chord and blew the rest of my leaves for me when he was finished. This didn't take a minute, but it's the fact that he offered that was refreshing and nice.

They were on time, courteous, and I even contracted them for an additional service. The plumber I had hired to vent my dryer was not input correctly. Now my dryer vent is not in the crawl space but outside like it is suppose to be. They were in and out, they cleaned up after themselves. They even gave me some advice about a de-humidifier. I recommended them to my daughter and they even gave her the same deal. They were very professional and I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.
