Description of Work: I asked them to come out and fix my aging dishwasher because it wasn't cleaning my glasses and silverware very well. Apparently it was due to a build up of grease in the system. The repairman was VERY knowledgeable, very pleasant, and didn't try to sell me a new machine. In fact, he told me I should keep mine as long as I can because it's one of the last ones that is not water efficient and will actually clean the dishes! He also gave me some wonderful tips about keeping glasses looking spotless. All in all I think his visit was worth at least twice what I paid for the cleaning of my unit and his sage advice. Apache was recommended to me by two independent friends and I have to agree with them. I will be recommending them to my other friends and neighbors, too!

Description of Work: I have used Apache since 1960, when the older Mr. Nolan was the only service person. I have, through all those years, found them terrific.....honest, helpful, skilled. I recommend they 100% for repair and for purchase of new appliances. I have called on them in 3 different homes in the Silver Spring area, and continue to do so.

Description of Work: I bought some kitchen appliances from Apache because they were highly rated by this service. I saw on Angie's List that seniors would receive a discount. When I mentioned that, the salesman agreed. When I called back to place the order a different salesman said it only applied to customers who paid cash. This was not the case as I already stated that it would be a credit card purchase. Also- I specifically asked if my refrigerator was an Energy Star one and was assured that it was. When I submitted the paperwork, Pepco informed me that it wasn't and would not qualify for the $100 rebate.When I called Apache about this discrepancy, I was told that it was not Energy Star but was "very close" to that efficiency level.There was no apology for what I believe to be misleading information. When I suggested that other customers be informed of this, the salesman was quite abrupt and said that they only sell this refrigerator model about once a year anyway.

Description of Work: I went two times to Apache Appliance to discuss replacement of a Dacor double oven which was no longer working. I was referred to Francis who has been doing this for many years and was extremely knowledgeable. He showed me options, gave me printouts of specs, discussed cost, and gave me comparison information based on consumer reports. On the second visit I ordered a replacement oven and it was scheduled for delivery within 1 week. However, because the installer was available earlier than anticipated, Francis had it delivered to my house within

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate on repairing a stack-able dryer. He didn't work on my specific dryer but gave me his best guess on the problem over the phone and referred me to someone who could help. Would definitely recommend based on my limited interaction.

Description of Work: Our washing machine broke. Francis Nolan came within a day to see about repair. It was 28 years old and its legs had given out, even parts weren't available. We bought a new one from Apache Appliance, in Northgate shopping center. Francis guided us to a selection decision. Their options were appropriate. No fast talking. They delivered and installed it within two days as promised. No delivery or installation charge.
