The special deal was a good deal and the service and handling of the appointment was wonderful. I accidentally ordered two special deals and Casey worked with me to get a refund through Angie's List; she answered the phone on the first ring each time I called, and the installer came out, installed the new toilet, removed the old one and cleaned everything up. On time, professional, and great work. Many thanks for the flexibility and great deal!

I have nothing but high praise for this company based on my experience this morning. I purchased two deals - each for the replacement of one toilet. At the outset, Casey from the office helped me secure the second deal because it had expired just as I was attempting to purchase it. She contacted Angie's List and was able to extend the deal for me. Two plumbers arrived this morning and were courteous and professional. They replaced two toilets. The new toilets I purchased were comfort height, so the existing water lines were too short. Matt and his colleague replaced the water lines as a courtesy. They wiped down both new toilets and showed me how they worked. They were efficient and extremely professional - such a rare combination these days! I am thrilled to have a plumbing company in my arsenal now. Thank you!

The provider was responsive and the service men punctual and nice. They install a new comfort height toilet from Delta and all went well accept the new toilet required a new water supply line. The service providers help me look up a good price on Home Depot and removed the old toilet and boxes. I would definitely use Atlantic again. Good job!

BEWARE- this deal does not cover ANY actual labor! The $39 service fee was to arrive at my house. After that they wanted $99 to tighten a hose under my sink that was causing a drip. It took them 10 minutes but $99 is their minimum additional fee to do ANY work. Even though you have already paid $39 for a service call.

Initial visit same day as I called. That charge was absorbed into the follow up visit. The dispenser wasn't worth repairing. Initially quoted a dispenser that was less expensive, but they were very accommodating in ordering a unit with the finish we wanted, even if it was more costly. Called the day the new unit arrived and was on site to install it within the hour. Matthew and Eric were the installers/plumbers. They were professional, polite, and informative. Very consientious of keeping the area clean during and after the installation. Dispenser installed in a proper position. Making it less likely to fail over time.

We called and got in contact with Harold - he wanted to send out a two-man crew, so we waited for a day (fortunately, we have another bathroom, so it wan't an emergency). Next day (8/14/2015), Saadya and George came out, were very professional, and fixed a valve in the toilet bowl and the water supply to the toilet. They were in and out in less than an hour, and were willing to give us an estimate before starting their work. The following week, we noticed the area around the base of the toilet was still getting wet, so after trying to dry the area with a fan over the weekend (on Harold's advice), he sent two more plumbers - he said the small leak with the wax ring was probably being masked by the larger leak from the valve and water supply. That afternoon (8/24/2015), Ty and Andrew came out & replaced the wax ring (which was, in fact, leaking). We have noticed no other leaks from this toilet. About their coupons: read the fine print! The "$50 for $100 worth of service" can be used only once per household. The only quibble I had was that they didn't put booties on before entering, but did so on my request. Otherwise, we were impressed with their professionalism and would use them again.

The plumber was very professional, intelligent, articulate, and, of course, savy about fixing things. He explained what was wrong, and answered other not-directly-related plumbing questions, and avoided (it seems to me) selling me more than I needed to solve the problem at hand.
Description of Work: Fixed a kitchen faucet that had fragments from a decomposed washer that had reduced the water flow to a mere trickle.

They were very quick to respond and were able to get me scheduled within several days. They were on time. They put the faucet on backwards, but came back that same day to correct it. There were no extra charges above the price I paid for the deal. Overall I was very pleased with their service.

I am more than happy with the service that was provided. I had a water pipe burst after an apparent freeze from recent cold weather. I searched the site here and picked the top choice that showed up. I called, and Mike (plumber) arrived in less than 2 hours, which I found to be quite reasonable given that it was an after-hours/emergency service call. Mike was extremely professional, polite, and courteous. The job took just over an hour to complete, and upon payment, the total cost for repairs was much less than anticipated. Overall I am thrilled with the service I received, and I would gladly recommend Atlantic Mechanical to those in need.

I called for weekend service as I could not use any water without it backing up in my basement. Apparently it was a busy weekend for emergency calls and took a while to get a call back. He was a little late for the appointment but called me to update on his arrival time. He took care of my problem efficiently in a timely manner. I thought the price was very reasonable, especially since another Angies List plumber quoted me twice the cost of this one! I've used this company before and will continue to use them.

Atlantic was contracted out through my home warranty company to repair two leaking pipes in my basement. I scheduled an appointment (they had a 2 day lead time when I called). I was very pleased with the politeness and flexibility of Ally, the young lady I spoke with. She also gave me a call the morning of to let me know Chuck, the plumber, was on his way. Chuck arrived within the 30 minute window I was originally given and introduced himself. I then took him through the basement, showing him the two pipes that were leaking. One was for domestic water, the other was an inch and a quarter water supply line feeding the boiler. Chuck also noticed a bucket I had positioned under the over-pressure pipe, and asked what was happening with that. I told him every time the heat comes on, that pipe blows off some water after about an hour or so. He checked into it further and decided changing out the over pressure switch/valve would be a good idea while he was there and had the system drained. I thought I would need to make another claim with the home warranty company, and pay another deductible to an HVAC guy to get the boiler issue fixed, but Chuck had the knowledge and expertise to diagnose and fix my problem. This saved me a day off work, another deductible and gave me piece of mind. I'm very impressed that my plumber is more than just a plumber. He thoroughly understands not just plumbing needs, but also how it integrates into the other systems in the house. I'm very grateful for this. I would highly recommend Atlantic Mechanical for any plumbing needs, and look forward to doing business with them again in the future if the need arises.

I contacted Atlantic because they had sent a serviceman out in January 2005 when we had a furnace problem. At the time, we had a home warranty and this company was selected for us. However, because I felt that they had done a good job, I contacted the company again in October 2010 to do a furnace checkup/cleaning. (The company has no record of this call, but I have a copy of the cancelled check for the inspection.) .Again, I felt the technician was qualified and I was pleased with the company's work. So, when the furnace didn't work today, I again turned to Atlantic. The company was responsive, calling me back with a general timeframe to expect a technician and then later when they expected him to arrive early. The problem came with the tech's response to the problem. He felt there was a blockage and told my husband he wanted to clean it off. First, he asked for a towel - something that could get dirty. My husband assumed it was to wipe down something in or near the furnace. Then the tech got a vacuum. Imagine thick black clouds of soot all over your basement. The clothes that were hanging near the furnace. The linens stacked on a table a few feet away. The washer and dryer. The hot water heater. The air was filled with soot. Soon, the soot was all over the carpets upstairs as the tech and then my husband and I walked through. In my defense, I was in shock when I saw the disaster and only realized after my second trip down that my socks were black. Did the vents need cleaned? Perhaps. There was certainly a good deal of soot. Should the situation and the repercussions have been explained to us? YES! With knowledge, I could have sent the tech away for a day and removed as much as possible of the clothing and linens. Covered the appliances. Devised a cover for the doorway between the basement rooms as if we were having drywall work done. Had the tech enter and leave through the back door. Instead, I have a disaster. I asked the tech to leave and when I heard water running downstairs, I saw him taking the towel we'd given him earlier and wiping at a small section of the washer top. The section next to what had been clean clothes. What did he think he was accomplishing? It is like emptying the ocean with a thimble. I complained to the manager and got apologies. I asked for a cleaning service for the basement and got no response. I've called another company to come out tomorrow to look at the furnace and help me figure out what to do. I also need to get breathing masks. From being down there for only a few moments, I've got soot in my nose and throat. Until I get the masks, I cannot even begin to figure out how to clean up. It is very possible that the furnace needs cleaned out and it will be a dirty job, but the mess could have been mitigated. Really, a damp towel to clean up with? It is going to take days and possibly weeks to clean this up. I'm afraid to look inside the washer and dryer. I have a used only once, bought in November, carpet cleaner in the basement. Hopefully it is still usable as I will need to do the upstairs rugs. Now I'm wondering if my hot water heater is in danger. It is right next to the furnace and covered in black soot. Was this just a case of a poorly trained technician? I don't know, but I will never use this company again. The cost is proving to be too great. UPDATE 12/5/13 - $19,808.50 the cost of our homeowners insurance claim to clean/repair/replace the items damaged from this soot explosion. A day after the soot explosion described above, another furnace repair company came to our home and explained, clearly and very professionally, that what had happened in our home was not typical and any reputable company would have taken responsibility for the extensive damage. Believing that the owner of Atlantic Mechanical did not fully understand the extent of the damage, I contacted him again on 1/4/13 to ask him to take responsibility for the clean up. When he did not, I suggested that I would need to contact our insurance, Maryland's Attorney General, the licensing bureau or the BBB. I was told that I should do that. When I asked what he meant, he said that I needed to place a claim on my homeowner's insurance and that he had already alerted his insurance of a potential claim. With no other choice, that is what we did. It took months for the process to work out. We spent a month in the dead of winter without rugs and curtains on our windows. Treasured items were lost. AND, Atlantic Mechanical's insurance denied liability. However, our claims representative was finally able to recoup some of the $19,808.50, including our $2,500. Yes, because it was our claim, we had to pay our deductible and hope that we'd eventually see it refunded by our insurance company. Writing negative reviews is not my style, but I am writing this update 11 months after the damage occurred because I fervently want to prevent others from experiencing what we did. Horrible accidents can happen. That's a given in life. How one responds and whether or not one takes responsibility for damages incurred is a clear indication of whether that is someone we want to invite into our homes.
Description of Work: Company was called because the furnace had stopped working. A quick review showed that the pilot was not lit and this was not something my husband and I felt confident attempting to fix ourselves.

There was an issue using them through my home warranty company. Initial plumber verified broken faucet and identified the necessary parts to repair, but required me to call Moen for the part which costed me extra money. Setting up the appointment for the actual repair was a bit of a pain. Second plumber quickly repaired the faucet with the parts I supplied, but broke off the Moen label on the faucet and did not repair it. I reapplied it with silicon. My deductible through my warranty company was $100. I wouldn't want to pay more for that kind of experience again.
