Called this guy who was referred to us by a friend to have garden mulched and also part of our side lot cleared. He came out with a good estimate and said he would start the following Monday. He didn't show. I called and he said he had left me a message but I received no message. I emailed him and he did not respond. I called again, left message. He did not call me back. I called him from my cell phone and he answered right away. When I told him who I was and asked what was going on he said he responded to my email. I never got it. He said his partner was in the hospital but he would be out in a few days. A crew showed up with him and they did mulch my garden but the edging was not done well. He bush-hogged the side yard but the job was shoddy and done professionally. Part of the price quote was to remove the dead branches. He said he had to come back to do that. I paid him $25 extra because he had to come back. He said that would be Monday. He never showed. I waited a few days and emailed him again. He responded after my second email this time and said he was in the hospital and would be out the next day. He did not show up. I waited again for a few days and emailed him again. He said he would be out in two days. He never showed up and hasn't since. He was paid extra and totally blew us off. He will not answer phone calls nor will he answer emails. James Kirby is the owner of this company and his card says, "Your satisfaction is #1". Yeah right. I would never have this guy do another thing on my property. He does not seem to care at all. My husband knew him casually through a hardware store so if this is how he treats people he knows somewhat, how would he treat a complete stranger? No thanks.
