Purchased the big deal on Angie's List. Was contacted within 24 hours to schedule the appointment. Crew showed up on time on the correct date to perform a chimney sweep and inspection. Crew noted that there were some cracks in the crown but could be remedied with something called crown coat, which they applied in the same visit for an extra reasonable fee. They even provided pictures of the damage to show where the issues were. I was seeking a second opinion on some areas of concern noted the year before. The cracks in the crown were the only item that needed attention among my list of items to check and no further repairs were recommended. I will definitely use them again.

I received a quote from another company which for the price I should have stayed with but I used this company before and trusted the work. We had rescheduling but I called to check they did not call me to keep me informed. Communication could be better but overall service was provided and I have a chimney cap.

The 2 workers showed up within the time set and worked very efficiently, answered any questions I asked seemed knowledgeable about the work, cleaned the area up when they were done. Didn't really clean out the debris out of the chimney before putting the liner in but maybe it didn't need done. I still have not received an invoice showing I paid or any warranty information but will call again. Overall the experience was uneventful and that's what we hope for and I was charged what I was told it would cost and was even given the 10% off Angie's coupon.

I had my chimney cleaned and inspected and found that some repair work needed to be done including a new furnace liner, the foundation on the chimney repaired and new caps. The company was wonderful to work with tohave the job completed and very flexible with my scheduling. The work was done quickly, cleanly and professionally and I've had no issues. I'll be hiring this company to come out again in the summer to install a chimney liner. Thank you Chimney-Tek!

I was really happy with my experience with Chimney-Tek. Vince was great and gave an estimate that was a good 1500 less than another company we talked to. His workers were very considerate and polite and cleaned up after themselves. The repair took a bit longer than expected due to some ordering issues. Vince kept me informed throughout the process and I was happy. I felt that he and his workers were very honest and took great care not to overcharge me or charge me for services/repairs I didn't need. They even fixed some bricks free of charge. I will definetly be using them again

We had to reschedule a couple of times and he was always prompt in calling us to let us know. He wasn't able to do the job because we have a 3 story house and he didn't think his guys could do the job safely.

Vince was fast getting with me to set up a date. The crew was on time perfection with service, even hooked up my gutter spout connection that had come loose. Made repair recommendation, cleaned up. Went over with me the repairs that are needed.

Having just bought a distressed house, I was very nervous about the cost of repairing the chimneys. I was also a bit skeptical of the free estimate Chimney-Tek provided, but figured it couldn't hurt since I was going to pay another company $80 to inspect the chimneys as well. Both companies detailed much of the same problems, but the one that charged for the inspection was also about 50% more in price. I couldn't believe it. I immediately chose Chimney-Tek. Vince was very personable and always responsive to my emails. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, but he was able to identify what was the highest priority and make it work in our budget. He offered a written estimate with a very detailed description of the work to be done, and the price was exactly right. The work was performed over three visits. His crew came out and lined the chimney. They did a great job, very clean. Next, his brick mason came and re-layered the top seven 'coarses' of the chimney. I was not at home but my wife said he was very nice, and my son really enjoyed seeing the scaffolding! In a testament to Vince, I had thought that was the end of the work and was willing to pay him the balance but he reminded me they still had to add the chimney cap and damper (I was juggling about 5 contractors at the time). He could have taken my money and ran but didn't! We had to reschedule once because a job went late at another site but he gave us plenty of notice and we were able to reschedule. I certainly plan to use Chimney-Tek again for the remaining repairs we need.

We just moved into a house with two fireplaces. On the advice of the housing inspector we had both of them cleaned and inspected before using. The guys were prompt and efficient. They carefully explained what was going on inside our chimney and were able to get us up and running that day! I didn't feel oversold or like they were trying to scare us into pricey work like I have with other chimney cleaners.

I was surprised with his speed. He was very quick and clean and neat. I hope he was thorough. He doesn’t doddle.

I called to set up the cleaning and received a call-back on the same day to set the service up. They were very good about working around my schedule. I expected to have to wait a lot longer (given the time of year) but was pleasantly surprised when they were able to do it within a week. Vince and Tim showed up during the window they quoted and got right to work. They were careful about keeping the house cleaned while they did. This was important to me given the job they were doing. They were quick, friendly and very professional. Overall I am very satisfied with the work they did.

ChimneyTek was prompt, respectful and quick. In fact, they were SO FAST that i don't really understand what work they did -- they were in and out of my house in about 15 minutes with a 3-man crew. This is our first year in the house, and we have no idea when the last time the chimney was swept, we had no problems with our chimney last year, and continue to not have problems. Company recommended an upsell to an expensive chimney cap to keep out animals, etc. -- we will likely build something ourselves and install for far, far less expense. I wasn't sure what overall grade to give them, as i don't know the quality of the work and cannot judge if it was a fair price or not. My gut says to give them a "C" even though i graded them highly on their customer service -- at the end of the day, i can't recommend them, and i can't knock them.

They showed up on time, almost to the minute. The inspector and his assistant were very professional and thorough. They conducted a sweep and inspection of our chimney. They laid down a tarp as to not get soot on anything else in the room. Once completed they recommended a video inspection since he could not determine if the chimney vents/pipes were fully connected all the way down since our chimney does a 'double turn'. We will be having a video inspection done at a later date. Overall, they were efficient, professional, and didn't leave a spec of dirt in the house.

Everyone was very professional and friendly from start to finish. All of my phone calls were either answered immediately or my messages returned promptly. The owner came out and gave me an estimate on the work. The day of the job, the workers showed up, introduced themselves, and got right to work. The owner did come and check on the job as well during the day. The work was completed in a timely fashion, and my premises left clean and tidy where the work had been done. Encountered a glitz during the process that the owner was quick to rectify and make right. I would definitely recommend Chimney-Tek with confidence.

They came out and gave us an estimate almost immediately after we called. Their price was the most fair and reasonable we could find after shopping around. On the day of the repair the crew arrived on time and immediately started work. They were top notch professionals who made sure the job was done right the first time. I had no complaints.

Chimney_Tek was punctual, professional, and thorough in their work. Their brand new vacumn cleaner had a mechanical problem, causing them to come back the next day to complete the work. I would recommend them highly.

I initially ordered the $129 sweep service. They did a good job on it. I then asked them to inspect the entire chimney to see if there are anything needs to be fixed, as I am a dummy on chimney. They told me I have two channels and the other one (I still don't know what another one is about) does not have a cap on it. I was told a brand new cap will cost about $150 and they just have an used on and costs me $80. However the other day I saw a cap in Lowes for only $40. I guess the extra is labor which they should tell me explicitly instead of misleading me on the price of the part. They told me there are some cracks on top of the chimney and I asked them to caulk it, this work costs me $150. The damper above my stove is rusted off and leaves a big hole to eat up my electricity bill. I asked the Chimney Tek to repair but was told they cannot fix it. However, they recommended me to install a cap which can shut the entire chimney off. I agreed to install the new cap but assumed they would remove the old damper. At the time the Chimney Tek people installed the new cap I was told the work does not include removing the old damper. I called the manager to negotiate and never get responded. In summary, I planned $129 but ultimately spent $600+. The work is generally okay but I should be better communicated. I should be told whether I need to remove the damper and if they do it, how much it would cost.
