The crew, including the owner, arrived promptly. The owner spent time w/me assessing what needed to be done. The work was done quickly and very professionally. They cleaned up after themselves. Very happy with this experience.

Everything went very well. They were punctual, professional and very courteous and personable. They performed a thorough inspection and cleaning. I would recommend them to others and use them again in the future.

Overall the guy was nice however he seemed to have a problem with my pellet stove. He figured out how to clean the chimney eventually but I'm not sure how well it was done. Mostly, the downgrade is due to the inexperience with the pellet stove as well as he left our fence gate open when he left my yard (after waterproofing the chimney). I have dogs and an open gate is not a good thing! Also, it was tough to get a hold of him, only a couple of hours of a window in which to reach him. Took a couple of tries to set something up. The price on the waterproofing also seemed high.

Vince and his team showed up on time to clean and inspect the chimney (Angie's list coupon). The inspection results were the same as the homeowner inspection done when we bought the house and the quote was about the same. We went ahead and scheduled the repairs since Vince's team did a great job on the cleaning. They returned two weeks later and completed the repairs. All went smoothly. There has not been a heavy rain yet to verify the flashing repair (it used to leak into the fireplace during heavy rains), but I'm pretty confident Vince will make it right if it hasn't stopped the leak.

They arrived on time, explained everything as they went through. They arrived with three people on the team and the entire procedure took approxiamtely 30 minutes. The team took pictures of needed repairs, explained what was needed and optional and gave me an extimate of the cost of repairs on the spot.

I figured they would say something was wrong. It turned out it was a problem on the roof. I had them complete the service. It was an extra $90.They worked quickly.

I scheduled the appointment with Vince the owner with no problem. The team called an hour in advance to let me know when in the agreed upon time window they would arrive. They were professional and friendly. I was pleased to see that they took the time to lay down cloths to protect my floors and furniture and cleaned up after themselves completely. As part of the service they checked out both chimneys, going up on the roof, and taking pictures to show me what they found. They provided written estimates on items they recommended for work, as well as fully explaining each item, its ramifications, and answering all my questions. There was no pressure to have any additional work performed, and offered to follow up with me on my timetable next summer regarding their recommendations. I was very pleased with the service and particularly with the attention to customer service that appears to be passed from the owner throughout the company. My techs were Charlie and Dave and they were great to deal with!

They were very personable and professional. Arrived on time and began work immediately. In addition to cleaning the one chimney I had hired them to do, they also inspected my other chimneys and gave me an evaluation of what they found and recommendations to remedy the situations. Photos were taken to help me see just what they were talking about ... most helpful. Overall it was a good experience. Now I am confident that I'll be able to use my fireplace for the winter without any problems. The only negative was the vacuum used to clean the chimney did not contain the ashes well enough, so the entire first floor was filled with dusty ashes which left a light ash film on everything in the living room and dining room ... not so bad for the wood, but it would have been nice to have had my upholstered furniture covered. I would recommend covering all furniture before having one's chimney swept in the future. It was explained to me that the the vacuum bag was recently replaced, so they were not sure why it happened. They did offer to give me a free cleaning of my second fireplace for any inconvenience.

The chimney sweep was very efficient - from clearing work area, cleaning out fire box of fireplace and cleaning chimney - all from inside our family room. There was absolutely no mess made and no soot left behind. The work was done even before other members in the house realized the work was being done.

He was a great guy and knew what he was talking about. But it just seemed like he was trying to get through the job quickly and go onto the next job. Everything else was great, he was polite and the price was great. I just wish they had spent a little more time.

They were able to provide pictures of the chimney. They did a good job; unfortunately, the chimney is pretty much a loss. The goal was accomplished. I would use them again. I felt like they were giving me a canned speech on not using the fireplace for safety reasons. I think that they are being overly cautious about they present things to people.

Went well. I was not there but my wife was. My score is based on my initial contact and what my wife told me. He got a B because I there was creosote on top of the refractory firebrick that was not vacuumed up.

I purchased a coupon from Angie's List. Chimney Tek contacted me and scheduled a time to conduct the cleaning. It rained on our scheduled date, so we had to reschedule. Everything was smooth in light of the rain day. I definitely plan to use this company again.

We had some scheduling issues on our end, but Vince was very understanding in working around us. The day of the appointment they gave us a 2-hour window and arrived toward the earlier end. Work was quicker than I expected, maybe an hour. Left no mess at all. They did find a couple issues with our chimney and gave us an estimate, we'll be getting a second quote as we have no experience with chimneys. I'll update my review if his estimate ends up being sky high but I doubt that'll be the case!

Got the deal for a house we just moved into wanted everything checked out. They came out and found a few issues that were able to take care and I added a cap to the chimney. I was Very happy with the service.

Everything went well. Came on time, called just before arriving, quick and efficient. Explained the condition of the pipe and gave recommendations to treat the creosote buildup. Pleasant and professional. Would recommend Chimney Tek.

Repairs needed were identified during a chimney sweep/inspection big deal I purchased. Vince from Chimney-Tek was very professional and responsive. He showed up on time on the date agreed upon, explained all work to me, and completed the work that day. There is a second repair that also needs to be done that I will definitely schedule him to repair. I was very happy with the service overall and I thought the price was reasonable as well.

I asked Chimney Tek to come early in the AM on 9/19 for the chimney sweep appt, but they only had a late-morning appointment. However, they called me when they had a cancellation, so I got my earlier appointment after all. This indicates they kept track of my preference for timing of appointment. They performed the chimney sweeping quickly, and took before and after digital photos of the chimney and chimney liner to document what had been done. As expected, their inspection revealed a need to re-do the cement at the top of the chimney and repair the flashing to the roof. We had some trouble with creosote dripping down the ceramic chimney outside the chimney liner. The top of the liner had been improperly attached, and the rockwool insulation between the liner and the ceramic chimney did not fill the gap completely. They quoted $1230.00 to repair the chimney cap (ie., recement and seal top of chimney), remove the liner, scrub out the creosote, add additional insulation to the liner and re-install the liner. Another quote for these services was about $2000.00, so I think it was a good price. Summary -- Two visits, efficient, timely, professional job. Also, Vince (the owner) mentioned that his chimney sweeping price is less in the Spring. I'm likely to call them back next Spring after wood-burning season is over, instead of waiting until Fall like this year.

The experience was very good. They arrived toward the end their set time frame. Vince and Charlie were very professional and knowledgeable. I plan on getting my chimney cleaned on an annual basis after Vince's advice. We use our chimney/insert to provide all heat during the winter. They were very clean about performing a potentially messy jobs.

It went very well. He had no problems cleaning or attaching the cap. Vince was courteous and polite. i am going to use him again for additional work needed on the chimney.
