Cleaned chimney and caulked around pipe on outside. Not a pleasant experience. Glad my son (a business owner) came over and was a witness. Vince sent an email to apologize for being so short tempered. He said he was tired that day. It was needed! Without it his professionalism would have gotten an F. His email is why I gave him a B grade.

Covered nearby floors and cleaned up afterwards.

Technician was punctual and friendly. All services were performed as advertised; I would use again.

It went fine and great. In fact, before the deal came out I had called and made an appointment for somebody else to come out. They were charging a hundred dollars more for the wood stove than the chimney. But Chimney Tek did both for the same price on your deal so I was pleased. They knew that it was a wood stove so it wasn't like that they got tricked on it. They were efficient and on time. They took picture of my job order and went up on the roof, came down with a digital camera and showed me pictures of where it had cracked. They also ran into a strange situation on the wood stove pipe and we weren't surprised that there was something going on in there. They did some checking into it, determined what the situation was and what the right fix for it was. I don't think they were playing a scam because the person who previously built this house did not handle it appropriately.

The furnace in a rental property was not working properly. After a few tries to repair the furnace the HVAC company concluded it was due to a problem with the chimney. Consequently, I hired Chimney Tek to inspect the chimney and said inspection discovered that the chimney liner was partially blocked due to a crumbling chimney liner. Further, the concrete crown wash was cracked and wearing thin. I was happy that Chimney Tek could do the repair work in a very timely manner, particularly due to the holidays. It has been about a week now and the furnace is operating smoothly (knock on wood). This is the second time I have hired Chimney Tek and I have been very satisfied on both occasions. I would highly recommend this company to all Angie's List members.

They were very good, clean and informative. They cleaned up after themselves and were one of the best companies we have used from Angie’s List. They did a very thorough job. They did their job, gave us the information and then were gone. We were very happy with their service.

I purchased a deal for a chimney cleaning. We had to reschedule due to rain, but everything went well. They inspected the chimney as well and recommended some repairs. I already needed new chimney caps, so I went ahead and scheduled that to be done as well. They did a great job!

Chimney Tek came in to sweep our chimney. In the process they located a problem and fixed it on the spot. They were very professional and I would highly recommend them!

Cleaned and inspected Chimney. Did not try to sell me on any unneeded repairs like one previous service tried to do. Said Chimney was fine.

They did a fine job inspecting the chimney and repairing the lentel(sp?) Unfortunately for us, the liner on the furnace flue needed to be replaced so this was a much bigger ticket item than expected. That said, we'd rather be safe than sorry. The owner called me 20 minutes after I purchased the deal on A's list - pretty darn quick. They were a little late for appointment but called to let us know which we appreciated.

They arrived on time. They were very careful and left the room looking very neat. They did a thorough job. They recommended and I bought a chimey box reflector to protect the box tiles from splitting, and to throw off more heat. I was very satisfied with the service.

It had been many years since the last cleaning. We played phone tag and finally got a date scheduled. Unfortunately, jury duty called and the appt was pushed back. When they did arrive, they were punctual and gave us a call to let us know they were on their way. The back of the chimeny had a crack and we were given an estimate to replace the back panel and told that using the fireplace in that condition was dangerous. They came back the week of Thanksgiving and replaced the back panel. They were quick and we have a working fireplace again.

First - give these guys an A+ for wanting to earn the business. They came out to do an inspection that others want $50-$100 for and didn't charge for it. They were on-time. They were thorough. They clearly knew their stuff and they didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. They tracked dirt all over the house. They gave us a very competitive quote to reline the chimney - but not to repair the damper and refinish the fire box. Follow-up with the owner via email failed to produce results. He indicated that he might need to come measure the firebox again - and we haven't heard from him since. I would consider using these guys if they give me a complete quote. 12/14 Update - the owner called this morning and has made arrangements to come back out and do the evaluation himself. His good follow-up and his obvious frustration with the crew that did the original inspection gets him a better grade !

I purchased a "Big Deal " from Chimney Tek and Vincent communicate with me by email first and call me after to schedule appointment . He came to my house and when I seen him I was very surprise because, I order his service for my investment property . He follow my car, I need to be there anyway to meet with my electrician. We went to the basement and Vincent check chimney from basement. He notice my water heater connection not well connected because high temperature cement is missing. He went to the car, took cement and put it around water heater connection and say it is "Complimentary". When we went outside to see chimney "he say it is rain and slippery and also you have slate roof; I don't want to risk my life to go there". I completely understand. Bought the inspection/cleaning deal for the wood burning chimney in a new house. They were on time, quick, clean and courteous. No problems.

They arrived on time and and performed a thorough inspection. The inspection identified items that we may need to visit in the future, but were not required. This was extremely helpful for future budgeting. They were professional, courteous, and left us with confidence the job was done correctly.

The service and professionalism was excellent. Even without the 10% off coupon Vince was still lower by a couple hundred dollars than his competitors. Vince and his team were on time, worked hard and fast, and did a great job. They made sure to bring in lots of tarps and drop cloths so they didn't dirty up the carpets. Vince had the wrong chimney cap the day he came to do the work but he came back a week later as promised to complete the work. Would definitely hire again.

The service was great. They were great. The primary team that came and swept said that there needed to be some caulking done and then the owner of the company came to do the caulking and recognized that it was not needed. That saved us $200. He was very nice. They seemed to know what they were doing.

Chimney Tek called in advance to say that they could be there early if that was okay. I was pleased to see that whent hey arrived, they spent time preparing, laying out coverings to protect our floors, etc. They had one technician working on the roof and another at the fireplace, brushing and vacuuming. There was no mess or dust in the house. They also showed me before and after pictures of both chimney flus to exhibit the difference with cleaning and noted places where there were repairs to be preformed in the future. I was very pleased with the job and their professionalism!

I used Chimney Tek based on their positive reviews on Angie's List and was glad I did. They were able to schedule an appointment within about a week of when I called. They were on time and very professional. The last service I used felt like everything was about the up-sale, but with Chimney Tek, they came in and cleaned without trying to fix anything unnecessary. They did an inspection from inside and outside.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they did a nice job. I felt that they tried to sell some unneccessary items. They led us to believe that we had a carbon monoxide problem, which we didn't have, and they wanted to sell us a 2000 Dollar upgrade. They responded to the deal immediately. I would not use them again, because they tried selling other things. I was not here, my wife was here, and I think they tried taking advantage.

On time - good job done by pros. They found a couple of problems but did not give me the hard sell on repairs. Neat and clean and answered all my questions. Try em.
