The appointment went well. The vendor was pleasant and matter of fact.

The owner came out and gave me a no nonsense quote. Didn't try to over sell me. Had great color choices. Easy to work with, and fast quality install. These folks are a great company. Don't get robbed elsewhere ALCO has you covered. Can't say enough good things!

Zak was responsive and great to work with. I wanted new windows installed before we moved into our town home. We went with the Simonton Reflection 5500 model windows which were a reputable brand. We had some issues with the weather but once it cleared up - he sent his service person out and finished the job within two days and within the time we needed it done. He made signing papers very convenient - even stopping by our old place or new place depending on where we were at. Very accommodating and friendly. I plan on using his services in the future.

We have done business with Zak for over 22 years and have always been very satisfied with the results. I wrote a review in May 2012 when I joined Angie's List indicating the types of projects done over the years Zak has always corrected any issues that arose and we consider him more a friend then business associate. (I've even joked we helped put his son through college). In reality we have always felt we received a great price. In fact while putting in our gutters it was discovered by Danny there were some rubber pipe fitting issues on our roof which Zak had corrected at no additional cost to us. There's no question in my mind Zak truly he cares about his customers. I look forward to working with Zak and his excellent crew in the future. It was another job well done!!

There were several BUMBS along the way: 1. It took us 24 days to receive our Payment in Full receipt after making the final payment. 2. During the siding installation, the siding crew severed our TV cable wire with a nail/screw. Zak Kreisman, owner of APCI, didn't reimburse us for the repair/replacement of the severed wire for 2 weeks following our notice to him of the amount due for the repair. 3. The gutters were installed on 7/22/13 (M) in 35 minutes by Zak's gutter crew. On 7/27/13 (Sat), with the 1st rain since having the gutters installed, we observed water leakage from the newly installed gutters (over the metal back porch). The old gutters had never leaked. We 1st contacted Zak on 7/29/13 regarding the gutter leakage. Over the course of the next 5 months, we communicated with Zak more than 20 times regarding the leakage from the gutter seam (every time it rained). -On 8/1/13, Zak sent the original gutter crew out to repair the problem. They stayed 20 minutes and said job was done. -On 8/5/13, we notified Zak that gutter leakage continued. -On 11/5/13 (3 months later), Zak sent another worker out to remedy the leakage issue. He spent less than an hour on the job saying what he did (after diagnosing the problem) should resolve the problem. -On 11/27/13, we sent Zak an email informing him that the leakage was on going. His email response back stated, "...I'll call you" back. After not hearing from Zak for over a month, we contracted out the work to ameliorate and remedy the dangerous problem (winter rains & snows turning to ice on our metal porch from the dripping gutter). 4. Seven months following the installation of the new siding and a month prior to my writing this REVIEW, the Mrs. called Zak, notifying him that a few siding panels had separated away from the house. To Zak's credit, within a few hours, he had dispatched 2 men to re-attach the wayward siding panels. The workers nailed the dislodged panels to the house.

This is the second time we hired them, and they have done work for us before. They did a good job. They do what they say they are going to do, and then some.

This company is unlike other window companies that come to the house in the evening and stay and stay. From beginning to end, outstanding job. Answered all my questions. He didn't waste my time. Zak knew his product and explained it well. The day the windows were installed went excellently and it was well organized. The finished job was highly professional. We were very pleased with the result that we then decided to add on the replacement of the front storm door and sliding glass door to replace the French door. With the storm door, I asked if we could have a little more depth between the front door and the storm door which they were able to do. We were very pleased with the outcome as well.

Zak Kreisman was extremely helpful and completely responsive to our questions and concerns, and while the work was going on, visited the site every day to monitor progress, deal with our issues, and answer our questions. All of the work was of the highest quality, the crews showed up every day and worked from morning until dusk, and kept the work site neat and clean. At one point before the new gutters were installed when we were expecting torrential rains, Zak even had temporary gutters installed, saving us from a flooded basement. We can not say enough good things about ALCO, the owner Zak Kreisman, or the work crews. Our last renovation 23 years ago was a disaster, so we were nervous about doing another renovation, especially one so large. We didn't need to worry - ALCO and Zak have our highest recommendation..

The completed job was Outstanding and relatively painless. We are delighted with the results. When starting this large project we wrote up specifications and obtained estimates from a dozen local firms all of whom had top ratings from Angie's List, Washington Consumer's Checklist, and the Better Business Bureau. After talking to the first five estimator, it became clear that we should undertake a bigger project, tying all of our needs into this work, as a smaller repair job would likely cost up to 3/4ths of the cost of a more comprehensive project, but would neither look as good, nor function as well as doing all the necessary work at once. So, we rewrote our specifications and started over, again only with the top rated firms who had been in business for some time. After talking to a dozen firms, it became clear that Alco Products Co., was our best bet. They had excellent references, including an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, excellent references from both Angie's List and Washington Checkbook, plus they are motivated by customer satisfaction and willing to work with their customers to solve problems that are discovered during the work process. Alco's flexibility made the entire project and the process of working with the company a pleasure. They were also the lowest bidder, although they use very high quality materials, top rated roofing and window components, and highly trained workers. I normally might have some reservations about the lowest bidder, but in this case I did not. Zak Kreisman is the owner, estimator, and manager of this long established company. After talking with Zak, it became clear he should be our first choice. Zak was extremely helpful at all stages of our work. He understood our timeline and exceeded it. The Alco staff were extremely careful, thoughtful, speedy, helpful, and hardworking. They did no damage during the six week work process, nor were there any security issues. They did an excellent job of roofing, window installation, gutter installation, trim wrapping and coverage, painting, and a wide variety of other activities, although our site was sometimes challenging due to vegetation, Winter weather, or our hilly lot. Zak's crew were good problem solvers who cleverly addressed the issues we needed to have solved. For example, we have begun to have problems with leakage into our basement from water draining from a neighbor's hill. Alco workers developed several clever and no additional cost solutions that have served us well. We have no further leakage. Zak was extremely generous with us. When we saw a few small details we were not crazy about, he had it changed with no reservations, additional costs, or issues. He asked his staff to take on a number of additional tasks on our behalf that were not included in our estimate. We are extremely pleased with the result, which has resolved a number of crucial problems. Alco's work has given us a house that looks new, works well, and that will require relatively little maintenance. Zak takes great pride in the work of his staff and the satisfaction of his customers. He basically works with you until you are happy. He has kindly agreed to send the Alco staff back to us in the Spring, when they will do a Spring Power wash of our siding and deck so that the house looks perfect for our Home Owner's Association Inspection as a parting gift. We are very happy with this work. We have recommended this firm to our friends and relatives totally without any reservations. Alco Products Co does outstanding work and the price is the best we found from a top rated firm using quality materials. We recommend them to you for the quality, speed, flexibility, practicality, and helpfulness of their work and the high quality of the materials with which they work.

Job was done well, quickly and professionally; back door may need a little caulking but otherwise everything went well and this has improved the look of the house.

Zach was wonderful to deal with. He was very accommodating as to my schedule (and my dogs!!), understood what I wanted to have done, and wrote up an estimate on the spot. He showed up on time, and, if he was running late, he called me right away to let me know. The price was excellent, and the work was started 2 weeks later. Zach called to let me know when the workers would come, and checked in to see that things were going okay. The crew showed up on time, worked diligently, and, as I write, the trim work looks really nice, and neatly done especially the porch!! The work will be done today, so all that work will be completed in two days. I am very pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend Zach and company!!

Zak came to give us an estimate in March and we signed the contract the first week of April. The door was special order and installed in June. While they were doing the door, we also asked them to knock out a window in the garage and put in a door, which they did on the same day. They did fabulous work and I was very happy with the door,except for the inside molding. They hadn't discussed trim options with me and I wish they had. In the end they put up plain molding that matched our chair rail that was well done, but I realized once it was up that I wanted something nicer. (I asked my husband to tear it down and he put up his own larger molding that looks very nice.) Zak and his team also installed an egress window in our basement. This was, I understand, their first egress window and again their team did a fabulous job. His foreman Oscar is very gifted. We have a brick exterior and we had been warned by our other estimates that it would be a very messy job, but they didn't use a wet saw and they cleaned up well after they were done. We were impressed. There was a miscommunication with Zak about the state of our basement. He had forgotten that it was finished, so he hadn't expected to have trim done as a part of the job. He asked if he could come back and finish it in a few weeks since he was booked up. It was a bit frustrating to get them back, but after seven months from when we got the estimate for all the jobs, the egress window trim is being finished today (November) by Danny, who also did our external trim on our sliding glass door. We would definitely use ALCO again because they did very good work and in the end it went well, we just wish it had all happened more quickly.

The owner of Alco, Zak, personally called on us to respond to our interest in windows and explained all the best options to replace our windows. He was VERY responsive to all our concerns and responded to all of our questions and needs on the spot as only the owner can. We did not agree to proceed right away, as we wanted to check another provider, but we called Zak back as soon as we discovered he had the best deal and quickest service. Once we signed the contract, Zak and his installers moved very quickly. We wanted the windows before the cold weather, but we could hardly believe that he could get the windows and have them installed within 3 weeks. He met this commitment handily! Not only did Zak stay personally involved with the job every step of the way, but his installers were among the most professional workers I have met. Spencer was particularly a real gem, polite and very experienced and responsive. As soon as his installers finished the work, Zak personally came to inspect it to be sure everything was done right. It was:-). I have rarely dealt with a firm that was so professional responsive as Alco. I can certainly understand why they have been ranked so highly on Angie's list. You won't regret having them install your windows.

The whole process, from start to finish, went perfectly. Zak (the owner) was incredibly responsive in our first meeting and seemed to know exactly what we wanted. All the dates/deadlines he presented us with were met exactly. His staff was professional, extremely neat and efficient. We had five "regular" windows replaced, a bay window with three windows installed and two sliding glass doors installed. One set of the doors that were installed were placed where a window had been. His team had to cut a hole for the doors. Everything looks perfect. I highly recommend Zak and his team. His price was great and the service impeccable. Thanks! PS - We did interview Champion for the same services. Alco was about 25% less expensive.

Excellent! Alco helped us "update" the entire exterior of our property within our budget. Zak offered great choices and price options. We went with Alco for all new Anderson windows, new insulation and siding and a new roof. The professionals were prompt and courteous. The owner followed up to make sure the quality and experience met with our expectations. Also, we had a patio done after the siding and Alco came back to fix siding impacted by concrete. This is the kind of service only available from a small, personal firm. We will continue to use Alco for future work and recommend to friends.

Zak is amazing. His team did an unbelievable job to revamp a neglected home I recently purchased. The house was the eye ore of the neighborhood. After Zak's team got to work, people would stop by and complement the house. It was a pretty extensive job and they took care of it, on time and in excellent shape.

Zak was great! Work looks great, fantastic job. Neighbors love it too. Lots of positive comments from folks even walking by the house. He was the most reasonable quote of the three we received, beating the competitors by 20%. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

It was really, truly great. We had an ugly duckling house that has been transformed into a lovely swan! We had several contractors give us quotes and all were the business owners. Our house was something of a challenge with a 70's brick color and roof color that were not appealing at all. Zak was the only one who understood that we really wanted to 'like' what it looked like afterward and offered some terrific design and color suggestions. Despite having been in business a long time, he still genuinely wants you to be pleased with the results. What first impressed us that was were reluctantly expecting to have to replace the roof to achieve our transformation goal but he he was completely honest and said right up front ''the roof is perfectly fine-- don't spend money you don't need to- it can be done with the roof you have'. How many times have you heard that from a contractor? The other guys we spoke to measured, gave us a quote and offered no design suggestions--- they literally ripped the quote sheet off their clipboards and handed it to us with a 'take it or leave it' shrug. (both were higher priced and are also highly rated on Angie's list). Zak also worked with us to find a comfortable price range for us. When we asked for some extra items (custom sized shutters) after the project began, he was very accommodating. The foreman and crew were capable and worked hard, We had a lot of bad weather during this project and they were careful to either finish things or not start things each day that would leave us vulnerable in a rainstorm, The job progressed smoothly and without any issues. The quality is quite good and they immediately addressed any minor items we noticed. I can't say enough good things about this company and I am looking forward to future projects with this contractor. Thank you!

Zack was very responsive. He listened to any concerns that we had and got everything done. He worked hard to make sure we were happy and went out of his way to get windows for us that they don’t normally carry. They were very good about following up with us about questions that we had after the project. They did a good job and I would recommend them to others.

It went well overall. We like our new windows and doors.

Zak responded within a day of my initial call, and came to the house the next day. He examined the doors we wanted replaced -- it is an older house with non-standard size doors -- and went through options with me. He spent a fair amount of time explaining the doors and lock options to me, but was not overly pushy and did not give me a big sales job, which I appreciated. Alco orders its doors from ProVia -- the doors are well-made, energy-efficient, and we had a lot of choices of style and color. Zak gave me an estimate that day. When we decided to go with Alco, Zak returned within 2-3 days. We went over our order in more detail, and another worker came out to take detailed measurements of the doors. Zak told us it would take about 2 weeks for the doors to come in. Zak's team did the installation within about 2 weeks. It took a full day to install the three doors, and then one worker returned the next day to finish up. Zak checked in by phone the first day, and came by to look at the work on the second day. The work was done very professionally, and they replaced and cleaned up interior trim that had to be replaced during the installation. We are very happy with the doors themselves and with the installation process. Non-standard replacement doors are very expensive, and this was a significant investment for us. We are happy we went with Alco -- the prices were in line with other estimates, the work was done very well, and Zak is reliable and responsive.

This company was a close second in my decision . The pricing and communications were handled promptly and professionally . It came down to price since both companies had high ratings and great references. Very pleasant to work with and I would contact this company again.

We had a great experience with Alco. We had some of our windows replaced by another company and then Alco did the rest. I wish I would have used Alco to do all of them! Zak was very nice and made us feel like our satisfaction was his top priority. The installation crew was professional and very polite. I would absolutely use them again in the future and will recommend them to anyone looking for window installation.
