Noah's Ark Veterinary and Boarding Resort is a full-service pet facility located in Millersville, Maryland, just 8 miles south of Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Our pet resort's special features include climate-controlled indoor/outdoor runs and/or kennels for dogs, pet supervision, pet pampering packages, therapeutic bedding, heated floors available (winter runs), and a separate cat room on a floor all to itself. We can also house your ferrets, rabbits, rodents, and guinea pigs. We have several large outside play areas for exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. We also specialize in state-of-the-art veterinary medicine and surgery. Our veterinary hospital offers medical and surgical care for dogs and cats and pocket pets. They were very gentle with the pets. I have on puppy that does not socialize very well and they are very kindly of that and took care to work around that. With me, they just make sure that I understood everything they were doing and proceeded to explain the process. What keeps me going back to Noah?s Ark? We?ve just had good experiences there and the dogs know them.
They educated me on things that you should do with animal, pet that you need to actually put to rest and they took care of me. I wanted to prolong the life of a dog you know like listen this is what you really should do and you know even though you don't want to, you should maybe, they really helped me out there.
Didnt like that the boarding cages were stacked, so my dog was sleeping on top of another dogs cage.
They do have dog day care but even after they observe your dog interacting with other people and dogs, if you haven't been there in a while you have to start over. My day care needs are not consistent enough for that. I want my dogs to play not be kept in a kennel.
The rest of the visit was fairly normal with the exception of everyone being pretty short, most likely due to the heat. I asked several times for a recommendation for a food to give my cats, since one of them developed crystals from my current food. I never received a direct answer, and they recommended their prescription food which they informed me that they only mark up 20%. They informed me the manufacturer recommends a 30% markup, and other vets go up to 60% markup. I believe this is something you shouldn't tell a customer.
At the end of the visit, I still never received an apology for my cats newly developed injury. As a result of this, and the unfriendly atmosphere, I will not be going back to this vet.
