My wife took her 2000 Toyota Avalon to the dealer on West Street in Annapolis for a routine oil change and wiper replacement. They also apparently preformed a multi-point inspection where upon they noted many defects totaling $5000 in charges! I called Lee's Automotive Service after finding them on Angie's List. Lee suggested I bring the car in for him to inspect. He and his son spent two days going over the car finding only a fraction of what the dealer had noted to be wrong. I opted to have the items Lee suggested repaired (including a cabin filter that had never been replaced in 13 years of going to the dealer for service). They completed the work as promised and I was only out $1300 compared to what the dealer wanted.
Lee and his son run a small but intimate old-time, auto repair service. Quality service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them and will be back for any future work that my be needed.

First of all, Lee is a gentleman. Polite, courteous and a real old-time professional. I explained the problem and he said he would check it out and give me a call. That's exactly what he did and even had an estimate ready for me. The problem was fairly simple so he kept the labor low. The real expense was in the parts, but that was not Lee's fault. The car was ready, as promised, on time.
Now, are you ready for this? A few months later, I called Lee about a front-end alignment. Lee said that he didn't have the equipment to do that type of work, but referred me to someone who did. That turned out to be a and quot;real findand quot; also. So, how's that for honesty? Lee could have taken my car to that same place and then bumped-up the price to cover his time for transporting my vehicle to the other shop.
What a classy operation and and an honest, well intentioned owner. He's my first call from now own for any automotive related repairs.

My nephew had problems with a backyard mechanic who trashed his car (1997 Honda Civic). We had it towed to Lee's for an estimate on fixing the (now) numerous problems. They were honest up front, telling us that it probably wasn't worth fixing, given the age and condition, but we asked them to look it over and let us know the extent of the damage. They called the next day to say that, at a minimum, the repairs would be more than the car is worth. Although the car couldn't be salvaged, we are very grateful to Lee's for their honesty and quick response when we needed assistance. I would definitely take my cars here for work in the future.

Ordered the clutch from Summit. Got the clutch dropped off the car. Told them I was in no hurry. About a week later they called and it was all done. While it was in we did the spring service. Oil change and check all the fluids, braked, hoses etc. All done. Ready for Crusin!

Took car to Mazda dealer. Problem not solved. Recommended new engine. Lee repaired existing engine for a fraction of the cost for a new engine and made the part that was needed.

Dropped off the Honda because the car was starting slow of late. I also could smell some antifreeze on occasion. Lee checked it out and found that the battery was just under 12 volts. He replace the battery with a new one. As for the smell he found that a rock or something had hit the bottom of the radiator and punched a small hole in it. I was in a spot that could not be repaired. He offered to try some STOP LEAK. I thought about it as it was a big $$ repair. I decided against it as this is used pretty much everyday. I was afraid it would give out while the driver was in DC or somewhere and I could risk the motor overheating and a big tow bill and repair later so we just replaced it now.These guys are very honest. They offer advice and will only fix thing that need to be fixed.

Dropped of the car with the parts and told him I was in no hurry. They got in to the job and found the fork was bent and I ordered a new one from Summit. All work was done and the car runs great. These guys are great!

As always we drop the truck in the late afternoon the day before our appointment. They called the next afternoon to tell us it was all ready for pick up. We picked it up and everything is great. Starts up no problem even in the cold mornings. We really depend on them to keep our stuff up to par.

Dropped off the car on 12/27 when we were on our way out of town. Told him we were in no hurry as we would be out of town till 1/2/12. Got a call that it was ready. Window was all fixed and the car was serviced as always. Its great cause they check all the lights and fluids,brakes,tires,and even rotate the tires every other oil change. They even grease the door hinges like the garages in the old days. These guys are GREAT.

Took it in on Tuesday 10/11 They changed the battery as the one in the truck was 6 years old. Time for a new one. The Mirror had to be ordered from ford. Picked it up on Wed afternoon. All fixed and running like a top!

I love this guy. He is the most professional and honest mechanic around. I would give him all A+'s if I could. We've used his service for years and trust him implicitly. They get you in quick here and can figure out any problem in my experience.
