Description of Work: Don showed up on time and worked steadily. He painted a screen door, fixed the front door knob, repaired a hole in the garage and fixed and painted an area of severe water damage in our basement ceiling. Very impressed with his expertise and professionalism. Little bit expensive but well worth the extra cost. I will use him again!

Description of Work: I had a new storm door installed. Because my house is old, and has settled unevenly, the frame was not quite plumb, so it took a while to get the new door in place, but it looks great!

Description of Work: Ha! just got off the phone with Alan of Mr Handyman who asked only for my address (N Chester ST) then said he wouldn't come here because it was a "nasty" part of town and there were shootings here last week. Well sir, I did some research and the shootings were on S Chester (quite a bit south of where I live and in a relatively safe block) and it was actually an officer shooting a burglar! But if you're that timid and prejudice I don't want you in my home anyway. PS, I live on one of the updated, safe and gorgeous blocks just west of the park in a brand new townhouse. We have a ton of items we'd like done but will gladly bring our business to someone who is up for the job.

Description of Work: Alan came over himself. I had a long list of stuff to be done and I didn't know how long it would take and he came in the afternoon. He was very pleasant and listened carefully to what I had to say. He assembled my daughter's bedroom furniture. Very intricate piece. He offered me a discount and also didn't charge me for the last half hour. Since there was still a long list of things to be done he offered not to charge the higher first hour fee just the regular hourly rate when they come back to finish.

Description of Work: I have used this office of Mr Handyman on more than numerous occasions. I wouldn't call anyone else. They have done every sort of repair from plumbing to electrical, fixing a fence gate, repairing holes in walls, painting, trim repair, molding, replacement of sinks, cleaning out my gutters, doing small repairs to the roof. They show up when they are supposed to, tell you how much the job will be, work efficiently, clean up after themselves, give advise as to what they think should be done, always come in around the price they have given and leave with a thank you and have a nice day.
