They were phenomenal and very easy to work with. They had a great product selection. They even gave us a discount because my mother used them. The price was the same as other companies.

We are really happy with them and want to go to their show rooms to choose slabs for the counter top. They have the best pricing, plumbing inclusive and other things that are needed to be done. As soon as we chose our stone, we were able to schedule a date for installation thee following week.

I visited BGD a number of times before selecting the granite for my kitchen, and each time I had a lot of questions. Julie, Kelly, and the others were very patient with me and carefully explained every step of the process, several times if needed. At one point I figured it was just too complicated and I decided not to go through with it. They continued to be patient and offered other suggestions for making the kitchen look better. Eventually I decided to just do it. I asked BGD to remove and dispose of the old countertops and also to install the new sink and to reinstall my old garbage disposal and dishwasher. They set dates for the final measurements and for the installation. After Marlon took the measurements, he asked me to come to the warehouse to check the layout on the actual slab of granite they'd be using, to be sure there were no defects or unwanted color variations. Unlike many contractors I've worked with, their team came right on time. They removed the Corian without damaging a single tile on the backsplash. They checked with us as they went along to be sure we were happy with what they were doing. After they left, I noticed that the dishwasher hadn't been reinstalled quite right, so I emailed the office. The very next day Marlon came back and cheerfully fixed it to our satisfaction. Bottom line: BGD's customer service is excellent - they respond to phone calls and emails. they offer lots of help in figuring out what to do, their installers do a fine job, they are on time, and they keep at it until the customer is satisfied. Also, their prices are very good. I hope I won't be needing any more new granite anytime soon, but if I did, I would call them immediately. Highly recommended.

*Note that this review has been updated. My wife and I selected Baltimore Granite for our kitchen and island counter installation. We chose them because they seemed to have the best prices and because of their outstanding Angie's List reviews. For those of you who don't care to read the details, I would recommend using Baltimore Granite for your job. As an update, the price we received after the initial quote did change, but after closer review, Baltimore Granite's response to my first review is accurate - the updated pricing included a pencil edge which I didn't account for before when I was writing my first review. I'm unsure exactly how much more granite was needed between quote and template, but at the end of the day, that's my fault for not getting the exact specs from quote to template. Template and installation happened on the date and time scheduled with Baltimore Granite. The installers were punctual and the actual installation of the granite was done well. At all times throughout my interaction with Baltimore Granite, my contact in the Sales Office (Julie) was responsive and very professional. Unfortunately, during the installation, the installation team dropped the granite for the island top on my newly refinished hardwood floors (the last coat of urethane went on the weekend prior). For those of you who have gone through a complete home renovation, you understand that these kinds of issues will come up. At the end of the day what separates good and bad companies is how these kinds of issues are handled and addressed (e.g. See my other review of Noble Kitchen and Bath which did a superb job of handling the big and small issues that WILL come up during a month and a half long renovation of three bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen along with other work in my home). I'm happy to say that Baltimore Granite is a company that will make sure to make things right with their customers. That's not a quality that is easy to find with most contractors. My initial review of Baltimore Granite was scathing and in hindsight - it was also unfair. Unfortunately for them, that review was written immediately after a misunderstanding I had with one of their installers and with a third party flooring company I had never heard of before. I immediately sent an e-mail to Baltimore Granite, and the tone of my e-mail was less than pleasant. Surprisingly, rather than getting defensive and pushing back, Julie explained why their installer had contacted me, and explained that his intentions were coming from his desire to be helpful and not because Baltimore Granite was trying to get me to accept a solution that I was not comfortable with. I worked with Julie to explore different options that made sense for everyone. Rather than trying to push a solution that might be best for them (which was what I was initially afraid was going to happen), Julie made it clear that Baltimore Granite was willing to explore a number of different solutions that made sense for everyone. At the end of the day, we were able to work out such a solution. Baltimore Granite was very reasonable in how they handled the situation. Having done two major home renovations, I've encountered plenty of situations where contractors will not be reasonable (which is why I overreacted initially in my other review) when working on fixing the kinds of problems that will always come up anytime someone is working in your home. I'm pleased to say that this was not the case with Baltimore Granite. I would recommend them to others.

Great work. They installed 36 square feet of granite in our kitchen. They were very easy to work with. Good price. I compared multiple granite places and they had the best selection and price. Other shops charged a fee for measuring -- upwards of $200. Granite direct was included. They included the sink. Other places charged for a sink. I ordered level 1 granite which is $39.99 sq ft. They were punctual and professional. I would highly recommend.

They were extremely competitive and affordable, easy to work with, very professional and really went out of their way to please. We were very happy with this company and we would definetly recommend them to family and friends.

Very Professional Staff. It took me three months to find granite from various suppliers that was suitable for my bar area and budget. With every possible slab selection, I contacted Balto. Granite for an estimate. Tess and Julie were always very patient in providing the many estimates I requested. Once I found the right granite and price, Balto. Granite actually took the time to show me the lay-out of the bar design on the slabs. This was not an easy task due to the length of my bar and the amount of veining on the slab I selected. The bar required two slabs and they did an excellent job making sure the slabs matched at the seam. Marlon came twice to measure before fabrication and the installers were prompt and efficient when the granite was delivered to my home. I am very pleased with the final product and recommend them highly.

I wouldn't recommend them. They are amateurs at what they are doing, but they did a fairly good job, I just wouldn't recommend them. I don't think they measured properly when they cut the holes around the sink and the stove top, but it is acceptable. It is not uniform all the way around. The overall experience was average. The price was excellent; they were the cheapest price I got. I didn't call them back on anything, or complain about anything. They were punctual. They gave us a scheduled date, and showed up on time. The crew was pretty professional. I just think the way they did the finishing work on the granite wasn't what i expected. I thought it would look better.
