About a month ago I started looking for movers to move me back into the Aspen Hill, MD area. Granted, I moved out of the area(6 miles away) but instead of self moving and trying to kill myself along with my friends, I decided to look into professional movers this time.I started receiving quotes anywhere from $200 to $700 (no kidding about this one). I got quite a number of quotes and started reading the reviews on these movers. The ratings ranged anywhere from ZERO stars to Five stars. So, thoroughly confused by now, I decided to go onto Angie's List to find a professional mover. I received quotes from the first two on her list but they were slightly too high for me. I then submitted a quote to Suburban Solutions and they came back the next day with the price. I had to call and explain that I only had two pieces or real furniture and a ton of boxes. I talked to Brian Fitzgerald who's a co-owner of the company and gave me a very reasonable quote. He emailed me the quote the next day, I signed them and sent them back.On my moving day, the two guys from Suburban showed up on time and started immediately. What took my friend and I 5 hours last time took these two guys (Brian Fitzgerald showed up later and helped) took these guys less than 2 1/2 hours, nothing broke, everything went perfect. These guys are very professional and know what they're doing. If I have to move again, I would definitely hire them again. Kudos to Suburban Solutions....

Working with Suburban Solutions was easy from beginning to end. I completed the online form to complete on their website, and received an email with the an estimate for the move. In the end, the price was actually lower than their original estimate. Best of all, their rate is all-inclusive; there are no extra charges. They handled everything with care, and wrapped all of the furniture before moving. My queen size box spring did not fit up the stairs in the new house, and they cut box spring with no extra charge. I have already recommended them to friends.

The move was horrible! We had bought boxes, taped and labelled them very carefully. What was to be a rate of $105/hour turned into them charging us $200 an hour! The sent 3 movers and within an hour two of the movers said they had to leave the jobsite. We were incredulous. Then they sent another two guys who came and took breaks every 10 minutes and then disappeared. When they reappered they went to lift our Oak Larkin Desk and they dropped it and it was in pieces! We had that desk for over 15 years. The owner said not to worry and they would compensate. We both were moving boxes also just to get the move done..and we did more moving then Suburban Solutions did. They also (right in front of my disbelieving eyes) lifted a box that was large and long that held m computer and monitor (my lifeline as I am a writer and use my computer to earn a living) and DROPPED the whole box...one mover lifted it..so of course he couldn't lift such a big and oblong box alone..AGAIN, owner said he would compensate. They lifted an oblong living room table (wood) and it was also dropped in pieces...So far it was 3 of our most important pieces of furniture and my computer whcih I just purchased a month before. It was brand new as was the printer they droped and in pieces.They threw boxes that were clearly marked for one room and they ended up at the completely wrong room. I opened food goods in a box clearly marked and quot;Kitchenand quot; and they ended up in my living room!!! So the move whcih was originally quoted from Suburban Solutions kwas $1100 with full scope of the work- loading dock was secured by us as was freight elevator at both ends.....at the end was $2160! This was the WORST company and I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I was crying at the end.The owner who was there of course to collect the money at the end and the same person that told me he would compensate for the damages that he clearlyi saw and acknowledged did not honor his word and did NOT compensate for any of it. I would be surprised if they were even covered with insurance. They have their friends reviewing them so they look good but this company DOES NOT DELIVER. This was my experince and it was a nighmare. We felt rlipped off, taken advantage of and we felt we were lied to by the owner.

From beginning to end, the whole experience was exceptional. While looking for a moving company, I contacted many places (each one seemed to be very helpful) but chose Suburban Solutions because I found their overall customer service to be very responsive and well-organized. It started out with an easy to navigate website that included a simple, but detailed, moving form. I received the estimate in less than 24 hours (more like 12 hours). It was a detailed estimate including the number of men in the crew, the size of the truck and the estimated amount of time necessary for the move. The estimate also included a range from a low end amount to a high end, depending on the number of hours the move would take, which I appreciated -- and I will say that the estimate was spot on, amazing in itself because my estimate of items/boxes on the original list wasn't too accurate (I guess we all have more things than we think we do). Additionally, the charges are based on the time they picked up the first box (after an initial walk-thru of the items to be moved, they informed me at 11:07 am that they were starting) and stopped with the moment I said that we were done, and did not include any additional charges, e.g., and quot;drivingand quot; time, blankets or other wrapping materials. In the days before the move, when questions arose, Brian and Garrett were very helpful and their responses were immediate, there was never any worry that it would take days to hear back, it was more like minutes to hear back. That type of customer attention was very much appreciated. On the day of the move, the crew (Mark, Max and Jack) assigned to my move was fabulous - friendly, efficient and very professional. They worked quickly and efficiently - no small feat considering it was one of the hottest days of the year and they were dealing with me (not as well prepared as I should have been !!!). While working quickly, they were also very careful - they wrapped all of the furniture in blankets and plastic wrap, ensuring that everything was well protected before loading it onto the truck. Even though it was well over 90 degrees on the day of the move, Mark, Max and Jack kept going (up and down 3 flights of narrow stairs) and did not slow down the entire time. They emptied the first apartment with such speed, I was the one left unprepared for that part of the move to end. At the other end, they worked just as quickly and efficiently - unwrapped all of the furniture, reassembled the pieces that needed to be, and put everything exactly where I wanted it to go, even re-arranging a few pieces of furniture. They didn't stop until I said that everything was where it needed to be. It was at that point, that they took their first break of the day (5 hour move), other than the 15 minute drive to the new building. Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience with Suburban Solutions. Mark, Max and Jack were fabulous - they turned a very tough day into a bearable one. Any little snafus we encountered during the day were met with an immediate solution. I would definitely recommend Suburban Solutions to my friends.

Excellent. The price was lower than other estimates but that was of less of a concern to me than the responsiveness of the crew. We had some very tight requirements and they just kept on saying it would not be a problem. And indeed they made it happen. There were questions and issues along the way. We moved form our house to storage before we were finally able to move in to the house. these guys were great. emails and text messages were answered in a matter of minutes through out the 3 week process. they showed concern for our concerns. Our suggestions were given appropriate consideration. And these guys worked hard. I feel that I actually got more than I paid for and that was reflected in tips both ends of the move out and 3 weeks later on the move in. they were everything you would hope for •professional •courteous •prompt •well priced Thanks, guys.
