My house was destroyed by the leaking water from the toilet tank while i was away for two days. As a result, the ceilings and walls on the main floor and basement collapsed were soaked with water and collapsed, which further damaged most of my personal belonging (computers, TV...etc). After the initial damage control by the ServPro which came to remove the water and debris from the house and dried the whole house for four days, I had five contractors to come over assessing the damage and gave me a quote. While three of them matching the quote from the insurance, I added additional upgrade and obtained quote from the remaining three contractors. The quote from Clarksville was the most expensive one amount the three, but I ended up choose them to do the work. Why? Think about this: If an owner of a company treats its employees like his/her own family and provides the right training and education to them, that, for me, is a "guarantee" of quality. This is what the Clarksville Construction Service is. The crew were prompt, friendly, careful, hard working, and always cleanup at the end of the day. I checked my house every other day after work, and it was always clean and neat. Project managers always communicated with me if there is any issue. At the end, hey not only finished the job on-time, but also delivered what they promised - the quality. Everything from the installation of the new ceiling to the repainting of the whole house, the workmanship was excellent. I have been enjoying my "new" house since. I will have no problem to recommend this company to anyone who want a quality work on his/her house.

We had Clarksville Construction replace a custom entrance way on the front of our home. We knew we needed skilled professionals for this custom job, and that’s exactly what we got with Clarksville Construction. Everyone we dealt with through the entire process was professional and responsive. Doug, the carpenter who was the primary craftsman on the project, was not only extremely skilled but also very collaborative – he discussed his thoughts and ideas for the project, valued our input, and in the end he and his team created an excellent result -- we're thrilled with the results!

They were great. This is the 2nd time we used Clarksville Construction. They responded quickly to initial inquiries, came quickly to look at the job, sent the estimate out as soon as possible, worked with our schedule, arrived when they said they would, kept things as clean as possible, cleaned up really well after they were done, and were really pleasant when they were working. They also answered e-mails in a timely manner, and did a great job making sure that the we had all of the info we needed. I highly recommend them. We were very pleased with them all around.
Description of Work: October -- Painted Master bedroom (that was the $1,100) July -- Painted a bunch of rooms, took care of some miscellaneous home repairs (installed a railing, installed a light, patched a hole in the siding, took out and replaced drywall where a leak had been) (about $15,000).

The experience was very positive. Adam arrived on time for the estimate and understood the scope of our project. The estimate arrived shortly thereafter and answers to questions we had regarding what the estimate covered were answered promptly. The work crews arrived on time on the scheduled start day and completed their tasks in a very professional manner and did an excellent job cleaning up the area where work was done. Our project needed to be split into two parts and the second crew also arrived on time, worked in a very professional manner and did a thorough job of cleaning up the mess.

Adam came out and provided the estimate. Edgar and Ryan definitely earned their money that day, but they met the challenge head on and accomplished the install. everything looks great. The thresholds are secured well through the carpet and into the concrete floor and the doors seal shut perfectly. I will definitely use this company again!
Description of Work: I had two custom doors I needed installed for my band rehearsal/studio. The doors are 2 1/2" thick and weigh 330 pounds each. One had a 7" jamb and the other a very wide 17" jamb. Most door installers were not interested in doing the job.

I had to call to see when the estimate would be ready, as the two weeks had already passed. Then, they couldn't give me the estimate over the phone, had to schedule a time at the house. When the sales rep came by, his plans in no way resembled what had been discussed at the original meeting - made me wonder why and how that happens!! The estimate was the highest of the four we solicited, and was going to go even higher to do the things we originally asked for (but weren't included in their estimate). All in all, an easy decision not go choose this company.

CC was great. Their crews worked hard and worked well together. The quality of their work is great and I will definitely be contacting them for my next project.
Description of Work: I asked Clarksville Construction (CC) to repair some superficial wood rot on my cedar sided home. At the estimate we discovered a serious wood rot due to flawed construction of a custom bay window. CC gave me an estimate for several options. The estimate was thorough, professional and included priced options. The CC team did great detail work and completed the job in a timely manner.

I joined Angie's List to find an honest and local construction company to remodel my master bathroom. Clarksville Construction Services had so many outstanding testimonials on Angie's List that I hired them on the spot! Tom McHale, project manager, was so patient with me as I kept changing my mind about placement of fixtures - luckily that was during the gutting phase of the project! Tom's expertise and construction experience helped keep costs down while achieving the look I wanted. Edgar and "Dexter" came the first day and worked thru to finish, sometimes 7 days a week. They took pride in the work they did (and rightly so!) and always took the time to explain what they were doing when I poked my head in. I have confidence the work behind the walls was done as properly as the work on the outside of the walls. Paul "the tile guy" did a wonderful job of cutting and laying the tile. His work is truly an art. I am thrilled with my new bathroom. Not only is it beautiful but my husband and I will be able to "age in place" comfortably with our walk-in tub and wide entrance seamless glass shower. Clarksville Construction Services is a company founded in integrity starting with the owner, Adam. His employees are well trained, honest and hard working individuals. They communicate well with each other so everyone is aware of the progress of the job. If you are thinking of doing a project, call Clarksville Construction Services. Pictures to follow.

We were on a tight schedule. My wife was pregnant and due in late August. We had about 6-8 weeks to get this job completed before the new arrival and I wanted to make sure I selected a company that could really deliver on time. We absolutely did not want to have contractors in the house once the baby showed up. Angie's list can be a bit overwhelming when selecting contractors due to the sheer number of businesses that do this sort of work. I decided to speak to 4 different Angie's List rated companies to select the right provider. From start to finish, Adam and his organization was top notch. It took about a week and a half for Adam to be available to come out and review the job to offer and estimate but he turned around the quote the very next day and the timing wasn't bad as it gave me the chance to get other prices. I was initially not happy with the price of CC's bid. They were much more expensive than the other contractors I spoke to - however, I had concerns with every other contractor except Clarksville. I decided to go the "get what you pay for" route with Clarksville and I'm glad I did - they delivered on every aspect of this job and the extra cost was well worth it. We needed a place to move our "stuff" while this job was in progress. At no extra cost, they brought us a trailer, parked it outside the basement door, and we were able to fit everything in there for temporary storage. This was a big help. We were on their calendar very quickly once I approved the job - probably 1-2 weeks later. The biggest delay in the entire job was the county permit process but they were able to get started while waiting for that paperwork to be established. Once the job started, they didn't stop until it was done. Tom, the project manager, was in constant contact with us and was always a phone call, email, or even text message away whenever we needed something - even on the evenings and weekends. This was tremendous for us since it is hard to focus on a project like this during the typical work day. Clarksville did all the work with their crews except plumbing, electrical, and the tile floor. Each day, a crew was here from around 8:30/9 am (sometimes earlier) until well after 6pm. I was thoroughly impressed with their commitment to completing the job on time. They've also done a great job of aligning themselves with excellent contractors. I was especially impressed with the electrician (very helpful with questions and did a great job laying out the lighting / electrical plan in a logical manner) and the tile installer (he worked an entire weekend to keep the job on schedule). Each day the job site was left very clean. I was surprised a bit at this because if it were me, and I knew I'd be coming back the next day, I'd probably not bother to clean up so diligently! We really appreciated this as it allowed us to continue to use the basement for laundry and the area wasn't overly dusty etc. It is very easy to be picky with a project like this - spending a lot of money and expecting perfection! I rarely had any cause for concern. The two items that stand out to me were that the dog crate (who we did keep in the basement nightly as long as we could) wasn't covered up to keep it from getting really dusty and the ceiling in one area didn't look like it was going to be smooth. I called these items out as soon as I noticed them and they were addressed immediately. These were literally the only two concerns we had throughout the project. Clarksville Construction worked hard to pay attention to the details so that I didn't have to. I cannot express my appreciation and gratitude to their team enough. We had a deadline, we had high expectations, and they met and exceeded our expectations throughout the project. If you ever need home construction performed, don't hesitate to speak with Clarksville Construction. They are unlike any other contractor I've worked with in home or business settings.
Description of Work: Finished basement.

Our deck was damaged by big tree branches from a touch down tornado during the Summer of 2012. The branches went through our deck and the roof of the shed. I had a hard time finding a right contractor to do the repair work. Some contractor thought the job was too small, and did not even bother to check the damage. Some contractor did not give out the confidence that they can perform the job. I found Clarksville Construction using Angie's List search engine. The Clarksville Construction Crew replaced the the deck and the built us two new gates, and got it done in three days. They cleaned up all the debris and hauled away the damaged wood. The repaired crews were very professional, and the administrative crews were very informative.

They prepared and painted two rooms including ceilings. Room 1 had old plaster walls with 4 layers of wallpaper and they did an amazing job prepping the walls, putting oil based primer, and then two top coats. You can't tell there was any wallpaper. The other room was a little bit more standard, but it all looks great. They had a crew of 2 guys on-site for more than 3 full days and spared no detail in the preparation. These guys are by far the best contractors I've ever hired in my 15 years at this 100 year old house (thats a lot of contractors....) I had to have the ceiling light ripped out of one of the rooms after the work was done, leaving a huge gaping hole. Clarksville Construction came back and patched the hole and repainted the whole ceiling for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend these guys.

Response from Clarksville Construction Services, Inc.
I dont understand this review. We removed a deck and repaired termite damage in the basement of a house they had just purchased. Homeowner said he would get back to us after speaking to an engineer about 50 year old tar paper between our repair and the brick. We have never heard back from them, or received any mail. They did not have any brick that matched. I thought the whole idea of removing brick on the front of the house to redo a 2'x2' section of 50 year old tar paper was a little extreme. I figured the engineer told him the same and that was that. Adam

As with any project there were hiccups along the way. The wrong siding was ordered and partially installed before we came home and saw the error. The problem was corrected to our satisfaction and the correct siding was installed. The project manager and the company owner were extremely accommodating and were anxious to make sure that we were happy with the final project result. Subcontractors were utilized and all were extremely professional, very capable in their specific crafts, and easy to work with.

We're planning on a bathroom remodel and planned on contacting Clarksville for estimates. However, we awoke to a flooded bathroom this morning and needed a plumber ASAP. My husband called and talked with Adam and explained the emergency and our future plans. Adam provided a minimum estimate for the project since he had no way of knowing the extent of the problem. In less than an hour Adam had his plumber at our home to take care of the emergency. His 2 people were very polite and respectful. They reviewed the work to be done today. My husband also discussed the scope of our future project and his concern over plumbing issues that might arise since our home was built in the early 1970s. The gentlemen took the time to scope out the work to report back to his boss. They left to obtain the necessary materials to repair our bathroom sink. Upon their return (about 40 minutes later) they immediately went to work and repaired the bathroom sink. They removed all debris and left the bathroom cleaner than when they arrived. Very impressive. I'm not sure of the cost of this emergency because they will "bill me" even though I'm a first-time user. Adam is to follow up with my husband in scoping out the details of our potential bathroom remodel. I was impressed with our first time experience with Clarksville and hope to be in a position to use them for our bathroom remodeling project.

The installation job was completely bungled. They installed the dishwasher into the sink drain inlet, but failed to bunch out the inlet block, so there was no where for the waste water to go. It could have ruined my dishwasher. They spent a week denying that they could have done anything wrong. I had to call another installer and pay them to fix the problem. They fixed it. But, the dishwasher has never worked well since. Also, they glued it to the undermount on granite countertop using silicone glue. The glue job came off after several months. They did end up refunding the installation cost, but that is a small consolation given all the trouble they caused.

We were very satisfied with the work that Clarksville Construction performed. The project was done correctly and according to schedule. Their work crews were on-time, courteous, and cleaned up as the project went along. Our project manager, Tom McHale, was accessable, reasonable, and professional. They stuck to the signed agreement - if something was agreed upon they did it. Also, as I would expect with a project of this scope there were unforeseen situations that arose. They were willing to discuss different options to resolve those situations and took or shared responsibility as appropriate. I will say that they weren't the cheapest contractor for this job, but we got what we paid for - a good job and professional service.
Description of Work: About a year ago we moved into a new home with an unfinished basement. We wanted to finish the basement to add a downstairs family room, bedroom, bathroom, and wet bar. We also wanted to keep a portion of the basement unfinished for storage. We were looking for a general contractor that could take the basement from the foundation to project completion. We wanted the work to be done totally on the up-and-up, with all appropriate permits and inspections. Clarksville Construction either directly performed or subcontracted all of the items below, and served as overall project manager for the basement finishing. This included: 1) Consultation on our needs, 2) All drawings, 3) Co-ordinating the permitting and inspections with the county, 4) Rough work - installation of an egress window, moving the bathroom rough-in, plumbing, electrical, recessed lighting, framing, drywall, and 5) Finish work - installation of ceramic tile and carpet, doors/baseboards, some painting (we wanted to do most of the painting), cabinet/vanity installation, railing.
