Good Life Maids

Marina Boboc of Good Life Maids is good at organizing, and great at cleaning. She is very good. You ask her to clean under the kitchen sink and she organizes it and cleans it. I ask her to do the ironing and she does that well in a reasonable time. Whatever you ask, she does it well and in good time. She is courteous and professional and when she went on vacation she had a backup person. She takes my laundry up and down the stairs. She is trustworthy because I can't supervise her every minute but she does work all the time she is here, I can see by the results. When the work is critical - like when my daughter's apartment is coming up for inspection - she does everything that needs to be done even better than usual. The experience with her has been good. She does occasionally use her cellphone but that is usually for business reasons. That might need commenting on.

First, my reasoning for hiring Marina was, for the most part, because she was a one-woman show.  I have had multi-person teams clean and had problems with non-consistency and inefficiency in cleaning.  I was also impressed (or distracted) by her website which advertised much about being Eco-Friendly.  Her first downfall was her  tardiness.  She was 30 minutes late.  It is important that cleanings start as early as possible so that I can have my house back earlier vs. later

 In addition to her tardiness, she continued to cause doubt in my decision in hiring her when she continually (LITERALLY)  frownedupon how dirty my house was... (uhh.. DUH, that's why your here lady)!  My walls were dirty from a recent kitchen fire we had.  It had spread all the way to the back of the house.  Once she was finished with the upper floor and moved to the lower, I went into the rooms to check if she was being efficient in her cleaning, and not surprisingly, she was NOT.  There were  smears on all of my wood furniture.  Almost as though she had just wet an already  dirty rag and had simply wiped over the furniture.  In fact, I had moved the items on the desks/tables/dressers and she had in fact  NOT moved a single thing to clean underneath.  I confronted her about moving items and cleaning under WITH A CLEAN TOWEL and her response was " well, you have a lot of STUFF"!  FYI, I am not a collector nor do I have much more than the common household has on their tables/dressers/desks.  It was simply the fact that she was  TOO LAZY to do a efficient job.

My advise, DO only hire those cleaning people that you have references for.  ALso, it was only after hiring her that I found out that she has only been in business for 1 year.  MY BAD!  DO only hire those with significant experience.  DONT let them leave your house until the job is COMPLETE and OF YOUR LIKING.  DONT settle on a price (just a range), until you have approved the final product (just incase something is broken or not completed).
