They did a great job, they cleaned up. I'm satisfied with it. They were quiet and professional. They were reasonably priced. We do have other work he's going to do for us next.

After a personal recommendation from a friend we initially called Plomari Construction to bid to remove some wallpaper and to paint some rooms. George gave us what seemed like a pretty reasonable bid but also proposed some additional work: more painting, bathroom remodeling, replacing a badly chipped concrete step, and other things. These were things we wanted to do anyway so we signed on. In short, his crew did an outstanding job, although we did have to provide some detailed guidance on aesthetic things like how the decorative tiles needed to be placed in the bathroom. After that initial generally good experience, we hired Plomari to replace our deck, redo our patio, and ultimately remodel the kitchen and basement(!) George generally provides just the labor and some basic materials like paint and miscellaneous stuff. The bulk of materials required for, say, a bathroom remodel job would have to be provided by you the customer. He will help you estimate the quantities, but of course you have to design it (or have someone else design it) and pick it all out?wall tile, floor tile, vanity, faucets, towel bars, etc. etc. and arrange to have it all on-site before he starts. Making sure all the materials come together in time is a bit of a hassle and it?s your responsibility, not his. If they need to buy miscellaneous additional materials, they will give you the receipts and you just reimburse them. But when everything is in place Carlos and the guys come in and just do magic. Are they perfect? No, but they will work with reasonable requests and if necessary redo stuff that needs to be redone. I would say the key to success in working with Plomari is to have as detailed an idea as you can of what you want and convey it to Carlos, and then monitor progress carefully. Things left unsaid may not be done the way you want them to be, but if you tell Carlos what is wrong he will do his best to accommodate your request. George works hard to keep his guys busy so he maintains a consistent team of workers, a well-oiled machine. He takes seriously his responsibility to provide a steady stream of work for his team, so he pushes hard sometimes to line up work. This can feel like aggression, but he?s trying to do his job. Push back if you need to; you can find a mutually beneficial arrangement. I think you will be happy with the result. Carlos and the crew deserve credit for having a great deal of skill and showing courtesy and respect to their customers. What does a Plomari contract look like? One page at most, hand written, one price, just a general list of what is to be done. This is a two-edged sword: on one hand, you may not see very clearly what Plomari will do. On the other hand, there is the freedom for them to make you happy, even though you may not even be able to express precisely what you want initially. Our experience has been that Plomari does what we want within reason, without hiding behind a contract. We asked them to repaint the two-story entryway to the house after we decided we really didn't like the color *we* had picked out: no problem, no complaining. They just repainted it for a very modest additional cost. George doesn't do email, preferring instead a phone call or face-to-face discussion. We highly recommend Plomari for your next remodel project and in fact intend to bring them in soon to do even more work for us.

Plomari construction did a great job. My wife who is very particular was very impressed with the quality pf the work. George and his partner Carlos were able to exceed our expectations. I've never had any contractors that did this . I would certainly recommend Plomari contractors, in fact several of my neighbors are interested in hiring Plomari for their projects. George and crew did everything and more to get the job done right.

I have contacted George because of the good reviews I read. He was nice at the beginning. And I was even upfront with him about that if he does good job and if he give us reasonable price and if we have good working experience with him then I would have multiple remolding projects for him. George also promise to give me good price if we give him more projects. So I started with the kitchen remodeling project first, but before it's finished, George keep pushing for the next project and keep saying that if we give him the bathroom and basement project he can give us good price. The bathroom he quoted 3600 but the size of the bathroom was approximately 1/3 of the kitchen, it's a very small bathroom and I don't understand why it cost more than the kitchen, he told me the bathroom is more complicated etc., so I believed him. But before we even sign the bathroom contract he then pushes me for the basement project. He initially quote 10,000 for half finished basement and I have a very small basement. However, when we met again which was yesterday supposedly to sign the bathroom contract and to give him the deposit but George keeps pushing for the basement project. Not only that he also changed his initial quote for the basement and almost double the quote for the basement which is way off from he initially quoted. I was very disappointed and I told him that I cannot pay that much for the basement and I have gotten quote close to 10,000. I told him that I'm very disappointed with his quote and that he is not a man of his words because he didn't give me reasonable quote and I don't want to give him any more projects. For some reason he misconstrue that statement and equating "not a man of his words" as a gay remark and got really angry and mad and shouting at me and threaten me! he even said to me that if I was in his country I would already be killed. I cannot believe he is threatening me! He is giving me an indirect death threat. I was terrified and I have to call the police to report the incident. Now I worry about my safety and the safety of my house. His crew leader Carlos also witnessed George getting really angry and yelling at me and threatening me. Carlo was professional and he tried to calm George down. I really feel sorry for Carlo to have to work with him and I don't understand how others can give him good reviews? Was it because I'm a woman so he can treat me with disrespect and intimidate me? It appears that George got so angry, yelling at me and threatening me all because I do not want to give him any more projects. How can I? He keep changing his words. He is not a man of his words, how can he be trusted? and after how he behaved so unprofessionally, yelling at me, threatening me, try to intimidate me, I'm a customer! I don't pay people to yell at me and threaten me. This is a such horrible terrifying experience, I rather sell the house than to have go through this horrifying experience again. I didn't know that working with a contractor would be this terrifying!

I have hired Plomari twice already for multiple indoor and outdoor projects and I will continue to do so any time I need practically anything done in my house. They are experienced in many areas like plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting to name a few. Plomari stained our deck and gazebo in the spring and they still look beautiful after the hot summer and rainy fall. They installed a toilet, a sink, multiple fans, chandeliers, wall sconces, and recessed lights. They installed crown molding and painted 3 rooms. Stained a vanity, replaced dozens of electrical outlets, did carpentry work in the garage and everything was done right. Not only that but it was done quick and at a very reasonable price. The second project Construction worked on was very challenging because it was practically an assembly of a few big and several dozen smaller projects spread around the house and outside. They did everything, and I mean everything, in less than 3 days. They worked with me closely when we had to make changes to the original plans due to unforeseen circumstances. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need but at the same time they advised me when I needed help making a decision. I am very happy with the entire team and the work they did and I would highly recommend them to anyone that has any home improvement projects.

They were very accommodating when I didn't like the color and agreed to help me fix it at a fair price.

Overall well. They repaired lots of settling cracks and nail pops, which was good (the house is almost 14 years old). They worked with us on paint color (some rooms were special colors which had to be replicated digitally after they took samples from the drywall, and others were based on specific Behr paint samples). They took longer than they expected but partially that was because they had a couple days when they didn't have the full crew of 5 people. They worked on one Saturday and they stayed late at least one other day to try and catch up. The one thing that I would have wanted to be better was clean up of some paint that got on the carpet and wood. Their price was easily the best of 5 contractors I solicited estimates from (the highest was almost $30,000!) Bottom line: I'd use them again but would be more careful about them cleaning up after they were complete with an area/floor.

.Plormari Contractors is the very best general contractor we have used to perform major upgrades or repairs at our North Bethesda home where we've lived for 30 years. The work was extensive. Plomari's owner, George Mathios, oversaw and took a personal interest in the entire project (which took about 8 days to complete). Each member of his crew (including his crew chief Carlos) was extremely hardworking, talented and polite. George and Carlos occasionally made excellent suggestions which improved our original ideas on the work to be done. Based on our experience with Plomari Contractors, we give them the highest rating and enthusiastically recommend the company.

They gave us one price and we said it was too much. We discussed it and they came up with another lower price. The original estimate was $16000.00, the revised amount was $8500.00 Why did you guys decide to go with them? Based on recommendations from others. They have not responded properly to some of our email requests for more information.

I was using Plomari Contrators to work on my deck but I was so impressed that I asked them to replace a toilet and retile my kids' bathroom. My husband and I went to pick the tile and toilet at LOWES and George picked everything up. The demo work was neat and orderly as was the installation. It looks GREAT. I would be happy to recommend Plomari Contractors to any homeowner. THey were a pleasure to work with.

We hired George and his crew to strip the white paint off our large wood deck and replace with a solid stain. He also repaired a few rotted pieces of wood on the deck and power washed my teak table and chair set. George was prompt, polite and professional. He did exactly what he said he would do and his crew worked very hard and neatly. I was so impressed that I immediately hired George to retile and replace a toilet in one of my bathrooms (another report for that job). I would not hesitate to recommend or refer any homeowner to Plomari Contractors.

I am very pleased with the quality of installation which required very precise leveling and very narrow 1/16 spacing recommended by Porcelanosa. The cost was lower than the quotes provided by other competing companies. It was also a pleasure to deal with highly professional, well organized managers and staff, which maintained very good communication with me throughout the project.

I am extremely pleased with the service provided. George was very professional, offered a very fair price for the service and was very timely on completing the work. The patio looks fantastic. I have already discussed a few other projects with his company. I would recommend him to any of my friends and colleagues.

George and his crew have done extensive work in my home over the past two years (wallpaper, painting, crown molding, baseboard, lighting, custom wall decor) and they have always done an excellent job! This last project that I hired Plomari Contractors was to completely gut and remodel a master bathroom and hall bathroom. George met with me to discuss specifics of the project and gave me a quote for labor as well as a start date and timeline. I provided the materials for the job, however George is always helpful to assist in picking out items and getting them to the job site. George has his own employees and does not hire-out work to others. This is important because I know the people working in my home and they are very polite and trustworthy. The job They removed the old shower, vanity, counter top, toilets, mirror, wall hardware, plumbing. lighting and flooring. They created a newer larger custom tiled shower, put down new tile flooring, installed a new double sink vanity and marble counter top, new plumbing for the double sinks, hardware, toilet, mirrors, lighting and wall accents. The bathroom was nicely painted as well. In the second bathroom they removed the old tub, vanity, counter top, toilet, mirror, wall hardware, lighting and flooring. They created a custom tiled bath, installed a new jacuzzi tub, new vanity, marble counter top, toilet, mirror, hardware, shelving, lighting and installed a new tile floor. They painted the bathroom as well. The job site was always left clean and neat at the end of each day. The job was completed on budget and on time. I am very impressed with the quality of work that Plomari Contractors does, their prices are very reasonable and I am extremely happy with their work. I would highly recommend this contractor for any needs!!

They were on time every morning ready to work. They tried their best to satisfy me asking and making sure things were accomplished the way I wanted it to look. They gave me small suggestions on things I can add to the project look better, they are not like other contractors that change the price for small changes, they always maintained the same price they originally gave me. They are honest and responsible, they were finished with the project the exact date they said they would finish. I have dealt with alot of contractors but Plomari surpasses all I have worked with. Plomari Contractors are honest, responsible, reasonable in price and above all quality of work is amazing. I would deffinetly recommend them to anyone, before choosing any other contractor I would deffinetly recommend giving them a chance you wont be disappointed.

It was a one day job. We were satisfied with the fence. He did the work when he said he would do it. He was on time and did the work efficiently. The price was high.

I am a landlord and have hired George several times now for my rental(s) as well as for multiple projects at my personal home. George, Carlos, and the rest of the crew are extremely valuable to my rental business and I can always trust that they will make the place beautiful. The communication is great. We always make sure we're both on the same page. When I come to inspect the finished product and find a minor thing that needs tweaking, he gets it taken care of beyond my expectations. The prices he quotes are very fair and you are not sacrificing quality. As long as George is around, I see myself calling him anytime one of my properties needs some attention. I can count on them doing the job right, in a timely manner, and at a good cost. You will definitely be happy with their work!

Plomari General Contractors Inc. have been out quite a few times. They are our favorite. They charged a great rate. They are always high on our list. We do our research on Angie's List first, but we will definitely use them in the future.

Another outstanding experience with George and his team! This was the third job Plomari has done for me within the past 6 months, and while they were here, I had them look at the next two projects on my list. There's no doubt that when I'm ready, Plomari will be my first call! George and his crew are professional, efficient and reliable. Pricing is by far the best I've found. I highly recommend Plomari to anyone who has any project, big or small, on the 'get it done' list.

The crew was pleasant and hard working. Beyond my expectations, they did other small repairs that I did not expect. ( such as fixing one of the return air vents) The crew was on time and went straight to work, They also helped each other and were courteous towards each other and myself. The results are just what i wanted. I already hired them again to refinnish my deck.

Very unprofessional and rude the day of the work, by the owner George. Very polite before that, but all changed the day of the work. He was anxious, swearing loudly, and abusive to the workers. He also required me to pay two thirds as a down payment, which the law states customers are only required to pay one third. This should have been a warning to me that this was a very small operator, with limited assets, but I was initially charmed. Plomari hired a subcontractor and workers who did the job for cash. I acutally saw the cash transaction. This was not in the contract and I am certain workers were not insured. VERY RISKY BUSINESS. At one point when questioned about the work, George the owner responded, "I'm not a carpenter, why don't you ask them (the subcontractor doing the work)!" He became belligerent and very nasty when asked more questions about the job and workmanship. He actually did none of the work! At the end of the job, one of the lead workers asked how come I did not use the same color singles and I told him that was what I had contracted for. Too late at that point, but color is off when compared to the house color! At the end of the job, there was a lot of roofing materials left over (which I was billed for) and not credited in the end. I was obviously over charged for materials. I however, did not press the issue and just wanted George and his "friends" off my property. This was a BAD, BAD decision on my part, and I DO NOT recommend this company. Please beware of the sweet talking sales pitch.
