Service Provider ResponseThis is a customer whom we have done work for several years and is a friend of the family. The only part of this statement I agree with is the one about showing up without notification. On that I did screw up and I apologized for it, so I understand the comment about “punctually” we showed up without notification. As to communication, we sent an email with what we would do on what days for the entire time we were doing the work. As to the rest of the comment we told the customer repeatedly that the debris would be picked up at the completion of the job. If we were to go to the dump two or three times they charge us for each trip we make, contractors are not FREE and this would be passed on to the customer. He had a choice and agreed to wait. Overall, the customer and I have exchanged several emails since his writing of the review and his level of discontent has gone down and is more like the person we came to know over the years. We never profess to be perfect, we try real hard to be perfect sometimes we do fall short of our expectations for one reason or another, however we never run from our obligations and welcome constructive criticism when needed, after all we are in the “IMPROVEMENT business”.

Service Provider ResponseWhile we are sorry we did not get the job some times things are not always as they appear. What do I mean by that? Unless we have an EXACT indication of what materials are going to used we have found that in many cases the materials we use are of a higher quality than what other use. Not all light fixtures are the same in quality or price. Not all are acceptable to LED lights Not all switches are the same and not all drywall is repaired and insulation replaced or painted. Our past clients speak for what and how we work and competition is just that and that is why some people get more then more estimate. The neighbor who referred us raves about us and our work. I am also surprised that my cost estimate was considerably lower than others, we are sometimes higher. However, your review brings forth what I feel is an important fact and that is our experience and ability to see what others don't. I'll close by saying that we do this all the time even with the jobs we don't get and the homeowner benefits from our ideas at no cost, but they don't get the quality we offer in doing what we say we are going to do. Service Provider ResponseI think the customer in this case has us confused with another company. She indicated the work we did as siding. We do not now or have we ever done siding work. That is so far out of our wheelhouse of services we provide. We did paint her dining room and installed crown moulding both of which she was very happy with and that work was done back in 2006. Now in 2014 she is writing a review, I'm certain that is not us she speaks of.

Service Provider Response[member name removed], [member name removed] and their two beautiful girls was a fun time for us. [member name removed] has a great sense of humor and we had fun teasing back and forth. We overcame many issues of this job that were unforeseen. As remodelers we cannot anticipate nor see every possible issue that could or will arise, this job seemed like each step we took we uncovered another problem, from replacing a leaking patio door to floors that were grossly uneven and two layers of plywood screwed and glued in place on the kitchen floor. We explained the issues as they happened and the [member name removed]'s understood and we were able to complete the kitchen remodel along with the patio door and tile floors through the first floor. This is a kitchen they will enjoy for many years to come and will service them well. Service Provider Responsewas referred to us by a neighbor whom we had replaced some rotted wood with PVC. He also had rotted wood and we took care of that issue for him as well at a different time. This time he was interested in having some steel security door installed. We found a manufacturing company for the doors, ordered them and installed them, not an easy job.
