Pet and Home Care

I have used them for years and trust them with my pets. They have a key to my house and I touch base with them by email when I need something. They are easy to work with and reasonably priced.

The person who came out did a great job and left notes of the interactions with the cats while we were gone. If we could hire her directly, we would. What is hard is dealing with the company who does not respond to emails or inquires without multiple follow-ups. I worry that they'll forget to have someone take care of the cats when they can't even confirm availability when asked.

We asked for an initial consultation which went well - the young lady was very friendly and took notes. There was a note left after each visit, and once one of our cats got sick and the note told us about it, as well as that the person had cleaned it up. The house was in great shape when we returned and the cats were happier than they've ever been after we were away. I would highly recommend their services, even if the prices are high (although comparable to many others in the area). They did offer a $50 coupon for new customers through Angie's List, which was a nice bonus.

I cannot speak highly enough about Pet & Home Care's service and responsiveness. We have used them in the past and will continue to use their services in the future. On this last vacation, one of the pet sitters noticed one of the cats exhibiting irregular litter box habits. He let us know in a text message, and we were able to contact our vet to get meds for the cat. Pet & Home Care's office staff and sitters were very flexible in increasing the frequency of the sitters' visits, and the sitters were great about texting us with updates and about administering the meds to the cat. Pet & Home Care is a great company and they really helped us have peace of mind on our trip.

We have been using Pet and Home Care for over a year now to check in on our two cats when we are away. They are always so responsive when I request services and the pet sitters that visit the house are extremely professional. We typically have them come for 15 minute visits. They bring in our newspaper, freshen the cats' food and water bowls, clean the litter boxes, and play with them if there is time left. I look forward to reading the notes they leave after each visit and especially appreciate their willingness to send me a text message after each visit so we are assured that the cats have been seen each day. We have recently had to start medicating one of our cats and the sitters are able to administer the medication for us, which is a relief. We will happily continue to use this provider in the future.

The people that came to feed the dogs left messages that were comforting to come home to! I did not find Pet and Home Care thru Angie's List. I should have looked before I called them - I would have had a coupon to use. They came highly recommended from a co-worker who has used this company many times in the past! I really liked them and I would use them again!

AWFUL! 1. Sitters shut door on litter box, so cat had use floor of another room for litter box. (It is a flap door, but I know my cat won't push through the door, so I left the door folded up so the cat could enter.) Apparently no one noticed the smell, but they did mark on their service forms that they were checking for cat's output. So they either saw the mess on the floor and left it or indicated there was stuff in the litter box but it was untouched (as it was when I got home). 2. My home alarm indicates they stayed less than 10 minutes for 5 of the 11 visits they did. (Paid for 15 minutes) 3. They did not see the cat at all for 2 of the scheduled visits. They still filled out the forms as if they had seen her, but the alarm system documented no one came in the house. The cat was not seen/fed for more than 24 hours. 4. I was gone 8 days. They had 4 different people see her. None of the people were the person I met before I used this service once in the past. The two daily visits were at random times. I will not use this service again. Please consider this before you leave an animal with this company.

It was a little last minute because we used to have neighbors feed our cat. However they moved away so we had to find a pet sitting service. Our one daughter does pet sitting part time in another area of the country so she gave us some helpful hints. I went to the business to arrange the schedule in person. There I met some of the pet sitters and that made me feel more comfortable. They seemed like a great group of pet sitters.

They have been very reliable and I often get the same person to stop by and look after my cat. It's such a relief to not have to transport my cat to another location for care. My cat hates the carrier and it is such a struggle and upsetting for both of us. So the fact that I can put a lockbox on my door before I leave for business/vacation travel, is perfect -- no hassle, so convenient. You can customize the visits for just a feeding and litter scoop, or longer to play and groom your pet. And the little note is always a treat. You can also get other services like cleaning, organization or other household chores. I was little worried about letting someone I didn't know having access to my home, but I have had no problems at all. Would definitely recommend. I've used them since I moved into the area last August 2012.

Service is simply top-notch! When I returned home, I found notes from each sitter than had visited regarding time of visit, the welfare of my cats, and whether the sitter played with the cats. I've used pet sitting services in the past, here and in other towns, and Pet and Home Care has got to be the best! I completely trust and rely on them to care for my cats. When I contract with them for pet sitting, I leave home with no worries about my pets!

It was A++. I would recommend them. They leave report cards everyday about my cats and check off what did that day.

For over 10 years, they have provided dog walking services. they come four days a week. I have never had a problem. I trust them completely.

I emailed with them regarding the service. I arranged for someone from the company to come by so we could show them around. A very nice person came by. We set up the service and they took care of our cats while we were away. They left a note each day indicating the time of service and what they observed regarding our cats. We were very satisfied with the services provided. We will definitely use Pet & Home Care in the future!

When a representative arrive to discuss their pet sitting services, she received more than one phone calls from her other job (real estate agent) which was very distracting. We decided not to use this company.

This company was very professional and responsible. One of the sitters met with me prior to my vacation to check details of what I wanted done for the cats. The sitters left notes detailing when they had visited, what they had done, and how the cats behaved while they were there. They brought in packages, and would have done other things, such as bringing in mail and papers or watering plants, had we asked them to. I will definitely use them again.

We have used them once through a reference we got. They did a fine job. The person that referred them has always had good service. They left notes and just did a great job with our puppy. We will be using them in the future.

What happened is that I left the area for the birth of a grandchild. Everything was setup and the first two days they were supposed to come they did not show up. They did not come the proper amount of times and I just cancelled the service. I finally got a hold of them the third day and they came that night. They came twice the next day and then they did not show up again. I called after this and just cancelled the work. I was glad my husband was in the area to take care of my dog. They were reasonable as they did not charge for the three times that they did not show up.

They have been terrific! They are punctual and we request they come at certain time windows. THey leave detailed notes that include the name of the walker. They even once identified a health issue with our dog! We were able to get the dog treated thanks to them. I would highly recommend them, and do often to my friends.

They have been great. We have been really happy with their service. They will always call if there is a problem. When we were away in 2009 during the big snow storm they were very helpful.

Everything has turned out very well. They are very accommodating. They even picked my dog up and will bring him to a cageless boarding place. They are wonderful. They will even drop off.

When we came home one of our neighbors told us that at 3 am the dogs were howling. Apparently she had overbooked so she decided overnight meant 6 hours and it didn’t matter which 6 hours she came to stay with our dogs. She left them completely alone in the middle of the night and they howled all night long. When I approached her and told her I couldn’t believe what happened she started crying. The guy that worked for her was very punctual and professional however, when you call that company, you risk her to babysit your dogs. I would never recommend her as a dog sitter.
