Pet and Home Care

At the 1st appointment where PHC came to meet our kitty; she hid as she always does with strangers. But by the evening visit of the first sitting day (PHC came 2x per day) my kitty let Kira pet her. Then at each of the next visits my kitty was waiting for Kira and wanted to be pet and snuggled each time. I received daily texts about how she was doing and even pictures. I was very impressed with Kira and it was wonderful peace of mind while we were away.

They are very good. They are not cheap but they are conscientious. They paid attention to them. They were punctual.

They stand out just the fact that they were taking my mail and if I need them to water my plants taking care of. The last when time, I had an issue with them and they took care of it so, it’s fine now.

They're absolutely wonderful. I love them. Their services are wonderful. They help us in the last minute. They do everything. I probably use them once or two times a month in one or both of their services. They give a quality service. I'm willing to pay for the quality.

The service is outstanding. I have been using them for as long as ten years. I had surgery so I can't bend over.

We love Pet and Home Care. They have cared for our dogs for the last six years. The dogs cannot wait to go to "camp," and they come home happy and clean. Staff love dogs! They are excited to have our pets visit and treat them like royalty. Can't say enough nice things about them.

Jennifer visited our cats twice a day to feed, water, sift litter, and give treats. She did a great job, coming on time and texting about the visits. Unfortunately the cats were sick a couple of times during our absence, but Jennifer dealt with it and even texted to ask what type of cleaning solution we would like her to use on the bed comforter. She was great, and I hope when we use the service again that she will be available. The only slightly difficult part of using the service is that they are using a new portal, which is good, but the portal isn't quite as user friendly as I would like. I couldn't see anywhere that enabled changing a service request (I had to change some times so had to cancel and then redo the request, rather than being able to just edit the original request). They also indicated that I should be able to see the notes they have entered about the cat care details, but I could not see the notes. Other than that, I do like being able to schedule visits using the portal and their response to questions over the phone was very helpful.

The work turned out very good. The people seem to be good for pet sitting and walking, and they seem to follow the instructions very well. I would recommend them to others.

They were great. They were fantastic. They were very good and pet oriented. The people whom we had for pet sitting, I had 100% confidence. The cat was around 19 - 20 years old, so they need to pay a lot of attention. They left a detailed note about what they did with the cat when it was around. The price was also good.

I was very impressed with the care and attention given to my cat. He lost his best cat friend a month ago and has been a bit lost ever since; he is not used to being an only cat. Jennifer came in every day at close to the same time, so that my cat knew when to expect her. She fed him and checked the litter box and took in the mail. I loved how she left a note every day to report on how he was doing. When I came home, my cat was very relaxed and happy! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again!

I have been using them for a while now, but in the last two sessions, I have had some problems. Previously, I have been able to work out any issues with them. Now, they never answer phone! They say they want to make arrangements via email, but its like pulling teeth. I want to verbally speak to someone and their phones are constantly going to voice mail. I would especially like verbal communication when talking about finances and requests unfulfilled. They had billing department problems. I am always financially prepared. They say they never charged us for the last job and when we called for service this time they had a humongous bill for us. They'd already had access to our card. This time, they did not charge the card, even though they had done it in the past. They told me they sent an email and asked could they charge the card, but in the past they automatically billed us. After speaking with them about this, she told me this is something they and their other customers are used to as well and they normally take it after the job. I am a teacher and am very detailed and thorough. They came here and told me they could not find things and that I did not have things that I needed, like a pooper-scooper for the litter box. I have had cats for years so that is untrue. I asked them specifically to water my outdoor plants. They over-watered my indoor plants and left my outdoor plants to dry to die. I asked them not to send men to my home, as personal preference, and I just don't know what to trust. I am worried for my cats and kittens. Communication is poor because of the lack of telephone response and not all cat sitters read the left instructions. You would be lucky to get them on the telephone. On the bright I like the fact that I requested a woman and they say they will give me a woman. I am not there when they are there, so I can never be sure. They work with you in a timely manner and give priority to sick animals, which I like in case my animals are sick. I would like to give them a chance to rectify this issue and see what they can do. Of all of the companies that I have used, I am happy with them. I like the little report cards they leave for my cats. They just have some bugs to work out. Not a terrible company at all. I would like consistency, as in the same person or people so that people are familiar in my home and things are consistently clean and organized. I called in and spoke with Jennifer today regarding the watering of the plants and she tried to guarantee me that the workers did water the outside plants. I explained to her that I came home and outside plants had not been watered and then she made another excuse that it had rained. I informed her that I paid for the plants to get watered regardless of whether it rains or not. Jennifer addressed me using slang which I thought was very unprofessional. It was not appreciated. As a result of that I will not be using them ever again.

For example, during Hurricane Sandy, our large puppy apparently went berserk with fear at the peak of the storm and created quite a mess on our lower level. The young woman caring for him discovered this and went out and bought doggie diapers for him, cleaned up everything, and did her best to ensure he was calm. She also took pains to reach us overseas and keep us informed as to both dogs' well-being and the status of the house. Recently, after long rains and high humidity, a staff member made sure dehumidifiers were emptied, even though we had not requested they do so. Equally important as the excellent level of pet care provided, Pet and Home Care has been strictly mindful of our home security. As a rule, they bring in mail, switch off an on lights, open and close window treatments, adjust heating, and faithfully utilize the security system as requested by us to ensure our home's safety. At each visit they leave a status report, signed by the care giver in case you have any questions or concerns. We also have used their pet "resort" doggie daycare services during home renovations. Pets can be picked up and delivered home for a fair price. Finally, they respond almost immediately to any requests for service or concerns. We would not consider using any other company unless Pet and Home Care LLC went out of business. We highly recommend this company!

All went well - the sitters leave daily notes on the pets and everything was in good order when I returned. They cleaned up any accidents, brought in the mail and newspapers, and pets seemed fine when I came home. While the costs add up with so many pets, it's a relief to know there is a service that can provide personalized service when needed to care for my animals when I'm away. On a previous occasion, there was a medical emergency with my dog and they contacted me immediately and dealt with everything very appropriately. While it was horrible to have something happen while I was away, it could not have been avoided and what was important to me is that the sitter acted quickly and handled things.

These are exceptionally caring people who love dogs. Our dogs love them, too -- sometimes -- we worry -- more than the dogs love us. The dogs wait impatiently to be picked up by the Pet and Home Care van and come home happy. We are delighted in every way with these lovely people and their services. Prices are fair, and they are flexible in responding to special issues.

We have been using Pet and Home Care for more than 1 year now. We have no complaints, it has been easy to schedule, they have done a good job watching the cats and the house for us while we are gone. I haven't tried any of their other services, so can't comment on them.

Reliable, caring service. Dogs seem to love the facility.

They're very good. Whatever your pet needs, they will take care of it. For my cat, all he needed was a little company (he gets lonely) and litter box cleaning. They leave a daily report on when they arrived, what they did, and they write a little bit about what happened with the pet when they visited. Apparently, my cat likes all of them, and they like him a lot.

They are a turnkey operation. I send an email with a request for dates and amount of time to spend, from as little as 15 minutes to scoop litter box and refresh water and food to staying overnight. It works best if you have a lockbox for your door. I was worried at first about having people I've never met or see in my house but I've never had any problems. The caretakers leave a nice note and take a security look around and bring in any packages. They offer many other services but I haven't taken advantage of anything else. I use them about once a month.

All of the "walkers" were fantastic! They were friendly, competent, enthusiastic and always filled out a form for a "report."

They are terrific. We have been using Pet and Home Care for years now. They are prompt, when confirming walk requests. And all the walkers leave wonderful notes, with details of the visits. We highly recommend them.

I am very comfortable with their staff and how they care for my dogs who are treasured! From the afternoon visits to the overnights which are the most crucial, I am fully confident in their attention to details, their love for my dogs and their staying in touch with me while we are gone. I have used Pet and Home Care for 8 years and have had a wonderful experience with them and plan to continue to use their services. Highly recommended!!

The service went smoothly and we were satisfied with the service. Different staff came to take care of the cats on different days, which is less than ideal, and the consultation was a bit shorter than I would have liked; I didn't get a chance to spend as much time with them as I would like or see how they interacted with the cats. But these would be my only critiques.

Very dependable--they come in when you schedule them and check food, water, clean litter and hang with the cat for 15-30 min depending on how much time you select. You can set up an account so that they automatically bill your credit card for each visit, and they provide a lock box for easy entry.
