DUCTZ of the Upper Bay Region

The two men arrived on time. They were as pleasant and accommodating as can be. When they brought the big machine into the house to go to the basement, they were carrying it even though it had wheels. I asked why he didn't just roll it across my kitchen floor, and he responded that he didn't know if it was okay to do that. They went about their work in a focused manner, and then cleaned up so that once they were out, except for the incisions made in the vents to clean them and the difference in the air quality, one would hardly know that they had been there. They were excellent and thorough. Although I am opting not to share this review with Band of Neighbors since I am not familiar with that website, I am more than willing to be a reference for this company.

Ductz cleaning is better than any air duct cleaning that I have ever had. I've owned my townhouse since 1997 and have had regular air duct cleaning. Ductz showed me pictures of a duct that was never cleaned by the prior cleaners. When they were done, my house even smelled clean. I could really notice the improvement. This is the second time I've used them. This time, I had a new air handler and also had major demoltion and remodeling done in the house while the A/C was running. They did a very good job of maneuvering around my furniture that was still waiting to be put back in place. I will never use anyone else! The other great thing is that their machinery is not too loud.

It was fine. I have been a customer with them for a couple of years now. They have been very responsive and a lot quicker than I expected. The workers are very courteous.

It was excellent. They were very professional and did a great job. They got the job in about one hour. The scheduling was very easy.

Prompt, professional and extremely careful with floors, furniture or anything that had to be moved for access. Provided before and after pictures. Very positive experience.

Spoke directly with the owner when I called to make the appointment. Scheduled work for the following week. He arrived on time, did the vent cleaning and left the laundry room as clean as when he arrived. No complaints!

I called Scott, the owner, about two months before I wanted the service. He can out, gave me an estimate and said he would contact me in two months to set up the service. Scott called almost two months to the date and we set up the service for the following Friday. His men, Jason & John showed up at the exact time stated, 8:15 am an started getting to work immediately. Jason took the time to explain to me what & how he was going to perform the service. The service took almost 8 hours to complete and the two men worked the entire time only stopping for lunch. I would recommend this company to anyone. Don't let the cost scare you, it is well worth it. Those other companies who offer Duct Cleaning for $200 will never do what these guys do! They go the extra mile. When Scott found out that I had an odd size furnace filter, 22x22 not available in stores, he made sure he had his men bring me over a 2 year supply of filters. Bottom Line - Great Company to Deal With!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are selling our townhome and as a result of the home inspection, some mold was found in the furnace. I called Ductz for an estimate. Scott came out to the house the day after I called. He was right on time. He inspected the furnace and provided me with an estimate of the work needed. He was very honest and since the mold clean-up was minor, he included that in his general fee. He also said that he would treat the area so mold would not grow back. He explained what would happen when the crew arrived and we set up a date for the cleaning. The job was completed today. A 2-man crew showed up right on time at 8AM and introduced themselves. They explained what they would be doing and got to work setting up. The job was completed and they were out the door at 11AM. Scott followed up with me a few hours later to see how the job went and if it was completed to my satisfaction. You could not even tell anyone had been here. Everything was back in place and it was clean. Scott also sent me a report to show before and after photos of the work they did. I was incredibly impressed by Scott and his crew. They were very professional, honest, friendly, and very efficient. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again myself when we move to our new home. We will be getting our duct work checked out.

Ductz inspected the air ducts and determined they did not require cleaning. They cleaned the dryer vent which had not been cleaned in over 5 years. The clothes would not always dry properly and there was lint clinging to the outside vent. Ductz showed up as scheduled for the service and was extremely professional. They explained to me what they were doing and afterward cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again.

From start to finish the experience was very positive-as good as or even better than we had expected given the good reviews we had read. The owner, Scott Jasion, was most agreeable on the telephone, asking all the necessary questions and explaining in detail how they worked and how they charged for their work. Based on that conversation I booked an appointment. The team of three workmen, headed by Jason, arrived on time. Jason did a detailed tour of the house-identifying all the heating/cooling vents and returns and then went over with me exactly what the charges would be. We were given a discount because of Angie's List and he also agreed to do the dryer vent work at no charge because the vent was on an outside wall. He even reattached and sealed the vent to the exhaust at no charge, which was a big help to me as I could not manage to do that work myself. Before work commenced the workers spread drop cloths everywhere to protect the floors, as well as plastic guards to protect the corners of the the rooms they worked in. Very impressive!. The cleaning process lasted all day-with an amazing amount of equipment being involved. Jason and the other two workers answered all my "curiosity queries" willingly and completely--and showed me photos as the work progressed. Once the cleaning was done, Jason had me review the whole house with him to assure that they had returned to their rightful positions all the objects that they'd had to move to do the work. He also reviewed exactly what they had done-and explained that we would probably not have to have this work done again for as long as 10 years, depending upon the number of people and animals living in the house. Scott called me a couple of days later and asked for my email address so he could send me a set of "Before and After" pictures. They were very interesting! Good/great work. Very intelligent and pleasant people. Not cheap--but you get great value for your investment with these forlks!

I was tempted to clip a coupon for a $99.00 or $300 duct cleaning service but feared I would get upcharged to death. Instead I hired Scott of Ductz to clean the ductwork of a building I rent for my office. They showed up on time and were very thorough explaining what they would do, why they woukd do it and, after, gave a complete report including some helpful commentary on the condition of our system. There were no additional charges, no surprises and I was comfortanle allowing them several hours in my business unattended. ractor could open the ceiling that he would come back and clean the fan and install properly. After getting the ceiling open, Scott came out the same night on his way home and fixed the issue and we were fine. He only charged me $75 for time. I would highlu recommend DUCTZ.

The crew was courteous, thorough and neat. The job took seven hours! It wasn't cheap, but be careful when you get this work done. I shopped around. A lot of places will quote $200 - $300 and tell you the job will take 1 - 2 hours. If so, it's not worth it. A good cleaning is not a quick process. I strongly recommend Ductz.

I had spoken to the owner, Scott Jasion, when inquiring about Ductz service and he was very helpful, pleasant, & communicative about the process & all of our concerns, which I appreciated. I asked for a reminder call the day before the service and he followed through. Jamie & Dave arrived on time, & went to work immediately. They took the time necessary to re explain the entire process and answer all of our questions initially, during, and after the cleaning. Photos were taken of various locations of the system before & after the cleaning as part of the service. They performed all services as promised, with the tools & methods that had been previously described. Their methods & dryer vent product were two of the reasons they were chosen. The guys were professional, pleasant, and patient with all our questions. There was no indication of mold, etc. but although Ductz has a treatment for such findings, it was not suggested or recommended as a preventative - there was no attempt to sell us an unneeded product. The total process took about 4 hours. Scott J. called to follow up after the service which was most appreciated. Later, Scott sent an email with the before & after photos taken. We are very pleased with the entire transaction and the price was reasonable. Charges included $445.00 initial fee plus $45.00 for 3 additional registers/returns ($15.00 each), and $30.00 for replacing dryer vent. They honored $25.00 Angie's List discount. One thing to point out: on the Ductz website was a FAQs section that quoted a $395.00 charge for the initial fee (the description there seemed to match current one for $445.00). This can be a bit misleading. Of course prices change as do circumstances, but perhaps the site's info needs to be updated. Nevertheless, Scott had presented all fees, etc. up front with good descriptions so we knew ahead of time the cost. Overall it was a very good experience & we are happy with the outcome.

They were able to come out the same day. Did a great job cleaning the vent, were professional and prompt. Even game me a discount since there was no dryer to move/disconnect. We have not moved in yet. Would use them again.

Jamie and Chris did an awesome job. The were very careful to ensure that our house was protected during the cleaning by placing drop cloths on the floor and corner protectors too. Jamie carefully explained the process and what would be done. As Jamie cleaned all of the duct work, Chris was responsible for ensuring that all of the grates (grills?) were cleaned both inside and out with a green-friendly cleaner. As they worked throughout the house as a team, they only stopped to take the quickest 30 minute lunch I've ever seen. When it was time to clean the dryer vent, I was amazed that we had filled up nearly 3/4 of a shopvac with lint! Definitely worth it to clean the dryer and now, a few weeks later, I can tell the air quality in the home has improved. The guys worked hard for over 6 hours and were meticulous in the work. I loved the photos that the owner, Scott, provided after the cleaning because it just showed how important it was to clean things the right way. They even gave us a brand new air filter too!

Jamie and Chris arrived on time and went through exactly what they would be doing before they started and answered any questions I had. They explained there would be noise from the unit down in the basement - and also from the generator outside by the garage. They put down drop clothes and booties as they moved through the house to make sure nothing was soiled or damaged. The cleaning took approximately 6 hours and the guys were working and moving through the house the entire time. When completed they explained what they had found and noted that "Before and After" pictures were taken. Later that evening Scott called to check with me and make sure that the service was performed to my satisfaction. He also sent a link to the "Before and After" pictures for my review. I was very pleased with DUCTZ both dealing with Scott and his employees. I would highly recommend their services.

Ductz uses powerful cleaners and really does a thorough cleaning, not all Duct cleaning companies offer the same service. One thing I love is that they will show you before and after photos of your ducting. I know several people that have used the services of Ductz and have been absolutely dellighted. One of my friends moved into a house and their ducting actually had cat feces in it fromthe prior owner. This is a great service for smokers, people with ashma and allergies and small children. This company will make a difference in the air quality. Also as an insurance agent I recommend that everyone have their dryer vents cleaned regularly. If you live in a community of condos or townhomes, I think you can get a volume discount.

Work could not have been done more professionally. Scot came the day after my initial; call, arrived exactly on time, made a careful and thorough inspection and provided an estimate the next day. Work was scheduled early the next week at a time that was convenient for us. Team arrived as scheduled and worked hard through the two days scheduled for the job. The team doing the work were pleasant to have in our home and diligently ensured that their equipment did not damage anything and cleaned up after the work was done. This all went on just after we had received a shipment of household goods so there was a lot of stiff to work around. They accomplished this without incident or complaint. Costs and schedule were exactly as quoted. I can recommend this company to anyone wanting duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning or carpet cleaning without hesitation. When the time comes to have this work done again at our home, I will go to Scot Jaison and his team without hesitation.

The team arrived on time and were very professional. They spent some time going over what they were going to be doing and what to expect. T.he cleaning went very well including dis-assembly of the furnace fan to clean smoke residue off the fan. They cleaned and power washed the vents that required it. The ducts were cleaned using rotating brushes and a large power vacuum. They fogged the vents with a mild deodorizer to eliminate any residual smoke odor. The project took about 6 hours. We were very satisfied with the work done and the manner in which it was performed.

I have no doubt I hired the best for the job. Ductz was more expensive than other estimates I received, however all other companies wanted to schedule for a 2 hour time slot whereas Ductz required much longer. I found from scheduling until the cleaning was completed they were both helpful and professional. They cleaned from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm. During this time they cleaned all the air vents as well as the dryer vent. They left the place cleaner than they found it and supplied before and after photos online the next day. Overall I was very happy with the experience and it was well worth the money. You get what you pay for with this company - a thorough cleaning from a professional and helpful staff.

coincidently Scott discovered an old leak in the coil system that I had been ignoring....He coached me thru options and alternatives and provided me with an outstanding contact for further repairs. Scott wentover and above in helping me examine a problem he was not involved in. Extraordinary customer service.

We are very happy we found this company. Between the information on their website and the explanations they gave us during the meeting for the estimate and while they were working, we had a very clear idea what work was going to be accomplished. They arrived on time and completed the work within the time they estimated it would take. Given the amount of work, we felt the price was extremely reasonable; the estimated price was the final price. They left the house in great condition after all work was completed. Their system of taking pictures before and after really showed how much difference the duct cleaning made. My wife has a dust allergy and cleaning the ducts has really helped her. We liked what they did so much Ductz is coming back to clean our carpets.
