 + -1 moreI went absolutely great. Scott Jasion (the owner) came out on 7/6/2016,looked things over and gave me a price to clean all returns and ducts. We scheduled for the work on 7/19/2016. Two guys and Scott came by the morning to start the work. Scott left after I had met the other two guys. I thought that was nice that Scott came back with the guys. They kept the place, floors, etc. clean and watched my 2 cats, so they didn't get out, or worse down the vents. That evening I had the pictures they had taken while cleaning the vents. There were before and after pictures.
Description of Work: Needed to have my vents and returns cleaned out. The house was remodeled, and I have asthma, so we always get the ducts cleaned.

 + -1 moreThe two technicians Sean and Sam arrived on schedule at 8 a.m. and worked a full day until after 5 p.m. just on our house to assure that no rust was left in the system, testing several times during the afternoon with a clean sheet of paper under the ceiling vents and finding additional pockets of dust that the first round left behind. Because our system was so dirty at the end of the job they covered our vents with cheese cloths and said to run the blower for the next day and let them know if anything appeared. At the end of the next day all the cloths were still spotless. We are very satisfied with the amount of effort put in by the crew for the price we paid and the results we received.
Description of Work: Cleaned air conditioning vents and blower wheel to remove accumulated rust.

 + 0 moreIt went very, very well. DUCTZ of the Upper Bay Region was willing to come out to inspect the site and discuss the work I wanted done before pricing & scheduling the job. Right away, I was pleased they were so willing to do that because my situation and cleaning needs seemed a little out of the ordinary. It appeared to be no challenge for DUCTZ of the Upper Bay Region. On the day of my scheduled appointment, a professional and congenial two man team went to work and got the job done right. One run of the ductwork required special treatment as there was a urine smell apparent from its supply register. DUCTZ of the Upper Bay Region used a special enzyme based treatment on that one run. Problem solved and no lingering odor from the treatment product..

Description of Work: Clean Dryer Duct. I had moisture in the finished basement. My dryer is in a very tight space, on a raised platform, with the vent outlet covered by drywall when the basement was Finished. The basement refinishing made the dryer vent almost non-maintainable. Scott and his team took on the task without reservation. They actually re-engineered the dryer installation, installing needed duct work and making the dryer vent easy to maintain. He took the problem on as a challenge to be conquered, and he proceeded to do just that. At the finish he ensured the vent worked and then charged me for the cost of a simple dryer vent cleaning job. No mention was made of the added difficulty of the job. I felt the need to pay him more than the amount requested - but I still feel that I received twice the value of what I actually paid him, maybe more.

 + -1 moreThey did a good job. They're wonderful. I've used them a couple of times. I found them to be very very reasonable. I would call them back again. My neighbors have used them also.
Description of Work: They've been out here three times. To remove a bird from the dryer vent. The next year there was a bird in there again. They got the bird out and then they also put something over the top of that so that it wouldn't collect the dust. Then they put in a magnetized flap so that birds couldn't get in.

His assistant, Kevin, was equally courteous as well as professional; moreover, Jamie readjusted the service charge of $125.00 and reduced it to $100.00 due to the short length of the vent, for which I and my wife were most grateful and clearly impressed, since this was the first time we used Ductz of the Upper Bay Region.  + 0 moreThe owner came to our home and described the process in detail , surveyed our system and gave a written estimate. He was helpful and clear about prep we did/did not need to do. We were able to schedule the cleaning quickly. Service technicians were cordial and efficient, and very careful to protect all surfaces where they were working. It was a very cold day and they were especially careful to limit cold air as much as possible from coming inside during the time that the heating system was off. I was able to continue with my household chores and business as usual during the process. I highly recommend this business.
