Excellent work and service

QUALITY OF WORK was excellent and plumber professional. Old faucet was incorrectly installed, plumber noted he installed new one correctly in a very narrow space. FAUCET: Mayes identified need for new faucet for sprayer was leaking. It was replaced with new faucet provided by Mayes via Amazon and American Home Shield. However I was not offered same style faucet with white handles which was in the same price range even when I provided Amazon prime item and its link. On 6/26, reluctantly selected an all chrome faucet which was not installed until 7/11, 2 weeks later, yikes. Wander if Mayes has a Amazon prime membership for two day delivery.

The service was amazing and quick. I know longer here noise coming from the toilet. I would definitely recommend your services.

My experience with Mayes plumbing was protracted, unpleasant, and leads me to leave a rare negative review. Two main issues: (1) they did not show up when they said that they would and (2) they gave me incorrect information about what carbon monoxide detectors were needed. To be it more bluntly: the dispatcher lied to me about when my water heater would be replaced, didn't acknowledge or apologize for leaving my family without hot water, and then tried to sell me CO detectors I did not need by claiming the ones I had were not up to code. The inspector from WSSC confirmed that she was wrong. What I already had installed was up to code. My home warranty company chose Mayes plumbing to replace a defective water heater. It took weeks to get a replacement, partly because of the warranty company, but the process could have ended a week earlier if Mayes had followed through when they said they would. I ended up taking a day off work only to find out they had cancelled my service call without telling me, and the woman I spoke with on the phone acted as though there was no inconvenience. If you have a repair that you don't mind waiting for weeks for someone to fix, and don't mind being repeatedly lied to, this might be a good choice, but otherwise *stay away* On the positive side, the completed work was done correctly and the plumbers they sent out were competent and professional.

The problem was successfully fixed in less than 20 minutes. I also liked that I was able to pay for the service through my home warranty in advance so that the financial piece was taken care of right a way and the services could be expeditiously scheduled.

Really professional, respectful and prompt. Performed the job quickly and to our satisfaction, and also explained the issue in detail before leaving.

Tony arrived within the window and didn't beat around the bush. He told me straight off that the issue wasn't plumbing. He didn't try to give any song and dance to make an extra buck and didn't try to deceive me in any way. VERY honest and forthright. Turns out there was nothing he could do and he was totally up front bout it.

The technician arrived late, took pictures of the toilet with his phone and then left. He was very rude. He reported to our home warranty that the toilet was "bumped or hit" allowing them to deny us coverage while still being forced to pay the service fee. They essentially charged us $75 to take a picture. If all they were going to do was take pictures I could have provided them. This company has no morals and no decency.

During my initial home inspection, my inspector noted that I needed a drip pan installed under my water heater so I called Mayes to come out and give me an estimate for the work. They were on time and professional, and agreed with the inspector that I needed a drip pan. I happened to have a leak in my wastepipe and had to call a few other plumbers for estimates for that work and they disagreed that I needed a drip pan since my water heater wasn't near my sump pump and there would be no place for the water in the drip pan to drain out to. So if Mayes had installed the drip pan it would have been a waste of money. They were responsive, on time and professional but not sure how knowledgeable the plumbers that came out were since the other plumbers I reached out to disagreed with their diagnosis.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH THESE SHEISTERS. NO INTEGRITY, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIARS. WILL TRY TO MAKE MORE WORK AND QUOTE OTHER REPAIRS TO SNIGGLE MORE MONEY FROM JOBS AND HOMEOWNERS. THE TWO PLUMBERS LOOKED AS IF THEY WERE AVID DRUG USERS. WE CHOSE MARITIME PLUMBING INSTEAD TO DO THE WORK.

I appreciate that they didn't have a service charge to come review the work and give me a quote. This was partially the reason I decided to go with them. The technician that came to give me the quote arrived at the top of my designated window, which I appreciated. I felt he thoroughly assessed the damage and answered all of my questions. I was given a quote and was able to schedule an appointment for the following morning. I was told he was unable to do the work at that time because he needed equipment to break up the cement in ground. The following day a different technician came to do the repair. He called an hour before he expected to arrive. He arrived late but called to keep me informed. I appreciated the notice. He was very polite and apologetic. It was raining, so when he arrived he took off his shoes and laid plastic to protect my carpet. He completed the work timely, reviewed the repairs with me and cleaned up when he was finished. I was very pleased. Pros: They honored a coupon I found on Angie's List and adjusted my rate without hassle. Everyone I interacted with was very polite. Quick service. Cons: I think the original quote was a little high. The technician who came to do the repairs needed to leave to get materials he didn't bring with him. I thought he should have had everything with him, but he wasn't gone long. Overall good experience, especially customer service and I would hire them again because of that alone.

Mayes staff were helpful and service oriented throughout. I have a home warranty with American Home Shield, who are very slow to respond and to provide needed authorizations and equipment so that the vendor can proceed and do the work. As I had been without hot water for many days, Katherine in the office took the initiative to call AHS's supplier to find out when the hot water heater would arrive, thereby being able to book an install appointment with me for the first day after the hot water arrived. This was critical because we had the 4th of July holiday in the mix. On the day of install, the staff called to ask if they could come early. Of course!! Who doesn't love that?! They did a great job, taking care not to make or leave a mess in my house. Very courteous, very professional and very good work. In the end, Mayes did more for me than my home warranty company ever does. I was very happy with their service and will use them in the future when my home warranty does not cover the service.

Mayes Plumbing & Heating did an excellent job. They arrived at our doorstep within forty five minutes of calling them to get our water available again. They even had a nifty app to message me when he was on the way, and how long it would be until he got here.. The work was done quickly and well, and they charged a reasonable rate for an emergency repair.

Two years ago, two technicians were assigned by American Home Shield for a plumbing issue. When the technicians left, they rode over our lawn (without even asking us!), digging deep ruts in the grass because it had poured rain that week and the ground was very very soft, and got stuck. Instead of calling a tow truck, they spent hours trying to get the truck out, digging up our lawn with shovels, and rolling the truck back and forth. We told them repeatedly to call a tow truck and to stop digging in our yard. They were rude and insolent. After a few hours, they called a friend with an SUV who tried to pull out their 2-ton work truck to no avail, tearing up the lawn even more. Finally they called a tow truck, leaving our yard in a shambles. They didn't even try to fill in the ruts before driving off, nor did they come to the door to make arrangements to come back and fill them in. When I called the company the next day, they sent the techs with buckets of clay dirt that they dug up from down the street and started to pour it in the ruts. When we stopped them and told them they needed to go get a truckload of topsoil and fill them in (that's how deep and long they were), they left. After a while I finally got in touch with the owner who said to get an estimate for having it done which I did. He said it was too expensive and would not repair our yard. We finally bought a truck load of topsoil ourselves and filled them in. It's bad enough that their secretary is rude and has the worst attitude, but so are the technicians.

Willis, plumber, was on time worked constantly until job was completed. The price considered reasonable for the work that was involved.

Mayes Heating and Plumbing is a terrific, locally owned family operated business. They are always quick to respond and are there when they say the will be. Most times they are even earlier than their scheduled times. The crews are also very courteous. The work is done quickly with minimal mess but they always clean up after themselves.

Someone was here in 3 hours and I had water 15 minutes later. Last year I had a leak in my hot water tank and again, I had a new tank installed and water in the house the same day. They are responsive, polite and professional. I would highly recommend them!

They were middle range when I had called around asking for prices. They showed up on time, were very knowledgeable, experienced and was very quick to make the evaluations of the situations. They were the only company to give me a straight answer on how much they would charge. The other companies told me their hourly rates.

ANYTIME I HAVE CALLED THE MAYES' PLUMBING THEY ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIVE. THEY WILL TRY TO SCHEDULE ME AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. WHEN THERE HAS BEEN AN EMERGENCY THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GET A PLUMBER TO MY HOUSE.
