Victor (the owner's son) and Noah (a long time employee) telephoned when there were within 20 minutes of arriving. I showed them the areas that needed repair so that it could be determined, before the clock began, what could be done in the 2-hours covered by the $120 contract. After looking at the areas that I'd identified it was decided that the powder room wall; the kitchen wall; the master bedroom wall; and a bedroom ceiling could be repaired in the 2-hour allotment. Consequently, the kitchen ceiling would have to wait. The kitchen wall required a patch and the powder room required several pieces of wood to reinforce the hold. The other repairs were minor. Victor's primary role was customer interface and prepping the walls/ceiling so that Noah could lay the mud. The prep work took about 20 minutes max. Noah, the craftsman, moved from one area to the next laying the mud, smoothing the surface, and cleaning up. Noah did an amazing amount of work very quickly and skillfully. He also had a gentle personality so although he primarily spoke Spanish I could understand what he was conveying. I am pleased with the repairs that were made in about 2 and 1/2 hours; and the respectful demeanor that Victor and Noah brought into my home. Thankyou.

Scheduling an appointment for a free estimate was very quick, compared to all other contractors I was in communication with. Quotes and repairs were performed within one week. The team that took care of all the tasks were punctual and provided me with great customer service. They kept me in the loop with any decisions that had to be made and kept me informed of the progress being done throughout the day. I would use them again, thank you Bernard and your team!

It was easy to schedule, and 2 men arrived at the scheduled time. Only one person spoke English but he easily translated to the other guy who promptly began to work. They were both very friendly and professional and they did a great job! Would definitely use them again.

They were great with scheduling but a lot of flaws in the work. During the quote process I specifically asked if I could use the Big Deals cash value towards the cost of work and was told yes, but when the bill came they said I couldn't use it and would need a refund directly from Angie's List which is what I'm doing now.

They did a good job, showed up on time, and kept the house very clean.

I bought a big deal for 4 hours of drywall work. They were flexible when I needed to schedule before the dates they had offered and fit me in, offering a 1:00 appointment in about a week with the understanding that it could be later depending on how earlier appointments went. Before 11:00 they called and said they were nearby and could come sooner. That was fine with us. The owner's son and a helper arrived at 11:30 and worked until 1:30. They were able to do a lovely job on the ceiling without replacing the drywall. Because this took less time, they also filled in nail pop holes in an upstairs hall and bath that had happened after the earthquake two years ago, smoothed 3 banged up corners and feathered out some poorly done taped seams. They protected the floors and shower and totally cleaned up. A good example of why it pays to call a pro.

It went well even though when the contractor first visited, I could not remember why I had contacted him.

Jakson Cabido and his son Bernard supervised the entire project. They and their crew displayed the highest professionalism and courtesy throughout, and we are as pleased as we possibly could be with the result. They gave us a detailed proposal of all the work to be done and what each part would cost, they attended to all of our concerns, and in the course of the renovation they did work beyond the terms of the original proposal without charging us any more. They delivered the necessary materials to our house, and they cleaned up and carried away all the trash when they were finished.

They did more than I expected and exceeded the fine print of the deal. I would definitely use them again. Very professional!

I got the 4 hours for $120 deal. I had lots of small areas that needed attention throughout the house. In total fairness, it was a bit too much for one guy to get done in just 4 hours, especially considering how much time is required in each area to do the drywall correctly. A senior guy came with the worker and we all three discussed all the jobs. The senior guy left only after he was sure that the worker had a clear understanding of what was to be done. I wrote a check for $100 or so for the extra time it would take and everything got done in one visit. It worked out great for me as I got so many areas addressed with just a little more cash on top of the deal price.

The service did not turn out well at all. It was awful. I bought 4 hours of dry wall work, and they sent 2 guys, so I got 2 hours. The part that was bad was, I think they had one guy on training, and the other guy was on his cell phone the whole time, and so, I wasn't getting two hours worth of work. He did a little bit. He would talk to the guy, and then he would go and do something, and I made them stop after two hours, but he said they will finish the job, and charge me more. The workmanship was so horrid, that I told them to stop and asked them to leave. He said they would make it look good in the end. I did the work myself. I do that kind of work although I don't like doing drywall. I thought if they do the drywall, I could put up the mud, I had to use so much, because nothing was even. The drywall that they used was not the same depth that was there or something, I don't know what they did. I had to pull some of it off, and redo it and make it look as good as possible. They were upset when I told them to leave, and they told me to call their boss, but I didn't want to. When they contacted me initially was fine. I didn't do any follow up later, and they didn't call me to do the follow up.

Bernard with JCabido Remodeling was very helpful and prompt. His crew did an excellent job and I am extremely pleased with the work done! Several neighbors commented on the work and they are also pleased with Jakson Cabido Remodeling services! I will definitely contact them again if I have home repairs. They are great to work with! Highly recommend them!

Deal was for 4 man hours of drywall work. I need approximately 12 pieces of drywall cut and mounted, taped and mudded. Contractor emailed me and said this would cost an additional $460 (at least 9 additional man hours at his regular rates) which I believe is exorbitant, particularly since he was saying this only based on looking at photos and my measurements. He has agreed to cancel the deal, and i will package the proposed work with other work I need to have done, and will get competitive bids from qualified contractors. My refund should be promptly processed.

Rep came with workman on time and reviewed entire job. Agreed to my request of the 4 hours limited to the "Big Deal" price of $149.00 as additional time would be billed at $120 per hour. Workman was fast, clean and completed all areas tagged in blue for repair. Finished exactly within the 4 hours allotted. Walls are smooth--shows excellent workmanship! GREAT BIG HAPPY DEAL!!!!!

They did a great job! Timely, professional, attention to detail, cleaned up, explained the work to be done and time to get it done. The skill of Noah's drywall repair -- outstanding. Victor did a great job of explaining the work. Would definitely hire them again without reservation. Victor was serious and professional in his approach and it is apparent that they value their AL rating and wanted to ensure I was happy with work done. Kudos to both of them.

I bought an Angie's list deal for $120 for 4 hours of drywall repair. JCabido was very quick about contacting me to schedule the work. I liked that they used Angie's list to contact me so that everything was clear and in writing. As soon as they arrived, they walked around the house with me to look at the work needed. Victor was very professional and friendly and went over exactly what needed to be done. He let me know about other services that they offered, since we are working on some home improvements to rent our house, but he was not pushy at all. Noah stayed to complete the drywall repair. He did a great job fixing all the spots that I had pointed out and also found some places on the walls that I had forgotten to mention and fixed those too. There were spots in the hallway and in four rooms of the house from wall anchors and picture hooks and he got all the patching and sanding done in four hours. It looks great and is ready to paint. He was careful to cover everything and clean up when he was finished too. It was a very good experience and I will definitely consider using them for other projects in our home.

We signed a contract with this company in April of 2014 and we had expected the project to take about 2-3 weeks to complete. However due to crazy weather in April, their work schedule (not working on the weekend), and the cabinet delivery issues we are having has caused the job to be 4-6 weeks now. As of today (5/27/14) we are still trying to complete the kitchen and the little mishaps from water leaking during installation of our new shower. The contractor working on our home has been very patient with us and has helpful when we want to change something or we dislike how the job has been done. I like that they want their clients to be happy and satisfied with their work. The pricing is very reasonable and the additional cost came from additional supplies need for unforeseen issues that have come out of the LONG renovation. Overall, they are a great company and have great workers that work to make their customers happy.

I was offered a "Big Deal" and tried to take advantage of it since it was offered by Angie's List. JCabido Remodeling offered my the dates of June 2-5 to come out to do the work. They also asked my to send them photos of the work expected. I complied with all of their requests and waited for a reply from them. I was not surprised when I got the reply. First, the June 2-5 dates went out the window. Now it's up to June 19th or sometime in July. Also, I got the feeling JCabido Remodeling was implying the cost would be more than the agreed upon price of $149.00. For $149.00 they could ONLY offer 80% of quality and the "work would still look like it had been repaired." I did as JCabido was in my opinion hoping I would do, and decline their offer. It looked more like a bait and switch offer to me. Please do not send me any more "Big Deals." I find these offers a waste of time. Bob Geisendaffer, Sr. geiser11@verizon.net

Several major crack in drywall in my hallway and foyer. Provider brought a two person team, fast, good work, good clean up. Would def use again.

This was the first time I've used their service. The gentleman didn't think that the drywall needed to be replaced. He did an alternative buckling and the drywall really looked new. I wasn't charged more than the "Big Deal" price. He was courteous and was able to make appointments quickly. He came right on time and everything went very well. I would definitely recommend them.

Nothing happened and i don't need drywall work done anymore.

I would highly rate them, excellent work. They were a bit late, but I would still give their service an A+, especially since they squeezed me into their busy schedule. I would definitely use then again. They do all kinds of contractor work.

I contacted JCabido from their contact details here on Angie's List. I didn't want to buy their "3 hours of drywall work for $159" deal because I knew this would be more involved and would need someone to come look for a formal estimate. I called and asked for a quote. I received a return call the next morning and the gentleman made an appointment to come survey. He gave me a window of 1 hour 10am-11am and I was very skeptical about such a narrow window. I shouldn't have been, he showed up right on time, took a look, took a few pictures and was done in 10 minutes. He said he'd email me a formal quote that evening. The quote arrived in email a couple of hours later - at a little less than 1/2 the price I'd been quoted by a local radio-advertised professional. I agreed and we chose a date for the work 2 days later. Victor came to the house this morning as promised with two workers, they were extremely professional and nice. They put down paper on the floor from the door to the area and hung plastic from the walls and ceiling to keep any mess contained. They did the work in less than 2 hours, extremely good work I might add, I can't even see the seams. They cleaned up completely and I will definitely be using them again. Angie's List saved me $600, which I think more than pays for the membership price.
