It was probably for a special. The price was okay. They seem to respond good. I would look for another company, try someone else. The workers were fine. You wait a while, they come in, they do whatever and then I know that I would use someone else. I don’t know what I would have them work on.
Description of Work: They cleaned the air ducts & the dry vent.

A simple leaking water tank in my refrigerator is taking the entire summer to address with still no solution in sight. The sears people have been unable to obtain the common part which we have known all along was leaking, a small water tank. After the first several weeks wait, the tech showed up and had no parts to repair the known problem. After another two weeks of waiting, I was given an obnoxiously large window (12-5pm) to wait for the repair tech. today and he showed up at 5 and said, "I don't have the part, do you?" I wasted a day waiting. I have worked as a repair tech when I was younger and a simple and standard thing every tech. does before they go to do a job is to check that you have the parts and tools you may need. The fact that these techs. would not do that is silly. Sears has made no effort to rectify the goof up. Normally a company would expedite the solution, but sears just says sorry and puts you back to the bottom of the Q. This is my second service experience with Sears Home Services (i wouldn't have used them twice but not for the home insurance company mandated it) and they have both been bad. The Sears that I used to know continues to deteriorate, the service department uses is a terrible business model and the staff is disrespectful of peoples time. I have been completely frustrated, and the repairs have still not been done.
Description of Work: We were mandated by our home warrantee company to use Sears Home Services to have our refrigerator repaired. We called them and told them exactly what the problem was. After almost two months they are still unable to replace a simple leaking water tank in a refrigerator. I experienced lots of waiting on hold, being transfered, explaining and explaining again, wasting time waiting for techs to show up with no parts. Very frustrating.

Cost covered by extended warranty. Sears-purchased LG washer stopped working after unballanced load. Repair man stood me up for first scheduled appointment, claiming he "didn't know" two men required (stackable washer-dryer), tho I had informed Sears of this when I scheduled. I protested, and he said he would cal his boss to find a second man. Called me back, claiming no one would answer boss' phone calls "because it is late (4:20pm), and they all want to go home, not be assigned another run." Two days later, another crew showed up. This pair fixed the washer, but BROKE the dryer while they were slinging it around to get at the washer. They left a mess behind for me to clean up, including removed parts. Claimed they would schedule appointment for dryer repair, but they did not. NO cal from any manager apologizing for their mess. ANd now having even more problems getting them out here to fix the dryer they broke.

We were referred to Sears through our American Home Shield provider for dryer repair. The first scheduled appointment was for an 8-12am slot. They finally called at 5pm and because we did not pick up after two rings, they decided not to come and demanded we reschedule. The second scheduled appointment they called at the end of the four hour time slot to tell us their truck had broken down. The third scheduled appointment (for 8-12am) they called our alternate number at 11:30am, did not leave a message, and then Sears called two minutes later to say since we were unreachable they needed to reschedule. We called them at 11:40 to let them know in fact we were at home and expected them to still come. They refused, even when we informed them of their prior failures to provide service to us, and demanded we reschedule. We have called American Home Shield and will be using a different provider. What good is a repair company that can't be bothered to show up?
