The vendor was real prompt on sending a team out to do the estimate. We just wanted to relatively small bathroom floor tile jobs done. We agreed to let them give us a estimate on remodeling the Masterbath. The plans were very impressive, but a job of that magnitude was not in the budget at that time. We signed the digital contract for the smaller job we wanted done, but never received a confirmation. Over the past year I have called and left contact information with a representative answering the phone number I have for Keassons Contracting, but I never got a return phone call. We will be in the market for a master bath remodel later this summer. Needless to say, we will not be calling Keassons. In hindsight, I wish I had kept a log of all the phone calls I made trying to get in touch with someone. I just did not ever see this becoming the problem that it has become.
Description of Work: Representatives were professional and courteous. Provided an estimate for requested work. Developed plans for Bathroom remodel. Would Not return phone calls. Never returned to do contracted work. Seems to be a pattern with vendors found on Angie's List. If they are not able to upsell you on a product or service, they lose quickly interest.

They were nice to work with. It did take a long time for them to get everything sorted out as I thought that someone would come with tile samples and they let me know I had to purchase what I wanted and then they would do the installation. They were thorough with the service.
Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $444.00 for a new ceramic tile bathroom floor with demolition, labor and materials included. They installed ceramic tile for the service in a bathroom.

I still need the work done so, I am basically back at square one minus $444.00.
Description of Work: They looked at bathroom and provided a written estimate. That's all I got for my money because the rest of the job was more. Unemployed etc...I was disappointed that the deal did not cover anything more. Lesson learned- always read the fine print and sq. ft. advertised.

The service was fine. They were pretty good because I had a little issue with one of the faucets. The faucet had cracked. I called them, they came back out and they fixed it. The crew who came out was pretty good. They were pretty conscientious about trying to get things done, if it wasn’t done right. It was a big deal purchase. There was an additional charge to it. The $440 was for the floor. The pricing was pretty reasonable and it wasn’t bad. They were very punctual. They were really nice people and really professional.
Description of Work: Keassons Contracting did the bathroom for me. They redid the floor then they put in a new sink, windows and they painted. They redid my patio window and patio door too. They took the whole door out and put in a new door with frame. Then they put in a new vanity and they painted too. They put in new lights and mirror. They painted the bathroom too.

This was quite an experience for me. It didn't go that well at all. I signed the contract, the owner of the company. When everything's said and done, he sent someone to come in and supervise the work. The lady was saying that I needed to pay more. I should even take the time to read the contract and to find out that most of them was paid upfront. 50% was sent upfront. They left with the work half done. For it to be completely done, I had to call them back. I paid more because I wanted more work to be done. Instead of only doing the flooring, I'll just use them to change the bathtub and all of that. That's what we did. I paid an extra $500 - $600 to get the bathtub done. I was the one who purchased the bathtub and the toilet. They did the work but the quality of the work is not there. Their punctuality was good. I would not use them in the future at all.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for Keassons Contracting. They put some tiles on the bathroom. I also purchased a bathtub so that we could change it to a new one.

When I saw ad for the big deal, I emailed Keassons to get prices for services explicitly excluded from the big deal. They asked if they could come and give a precise estimate, I agreed, and they came to my house and sent me an estimate several days later. I emailed questions about the estimate to the estimator, but he didn't respond. About three weeks later my initial email responder called me with what felt like a routine follow-up, and when I told her about my email questions to the estimator she asked me to send them to her. I did, but I never heard back from her, either. This is an odd situation, and in rating it I chose to make the assumption that I fell through some cracks in a company that generally knows what it ought to be doing. That being said, the fact that I seem to have fallen through two cracks could just as easily have led me to rate them a failure.
Description of Work: I contacted Keassons when they offered a big deal on redoing kitchen/bath tile floors. They came and gave me an estimate, but they didn't respond to my requests for clarification.

Unbelievably BAD experience! I had to call back numerous times to finalize the deal. Contract process was very disorganized --with multiply forms and incorrect information. I had to call main office to clarify what I was to sign and to remind them I had already paid the deal price. Meanwhile my credit card had already been charged for the job. At one point their main office said they were overwhelmed with the response to the Angie's ad that's why there was so much lag time in contacting us. Salesman came first to measure but brought no tile samples. I called main office to request samples. They scheduled another appointment. He returned with tile samples (only 2!). Tile installers arrived with different tile than we had chosen. So unprofessional! Installers showed up on 7/15/13 before 7 AM with no prior warning--office said they would be there at 8AM. Installers had limited English skills so communicating was difficult. They had to turn off water to remove toilet but in their effort ended up turning off our hot water heater (we found that out the next day!!--I had to hire a plumber to restart gas to hot water heater $$). They removed the old parquet flooring and glued down tiles over old tiles. They left at noon saying they MIGHT be back at 6 PM to finish job. They were not going to turn water back on. I insisted that they turn the water on since they were unsure if they would return. They called at 6:30 PM and said they would be back at 7:30 that evening. They did show up and finished grouting. They were there to almost 10PM. They left grout smears on baseboard and toilet base plus a mess of grout piled up behind door?very poor finish work. We stayed off floor for two days. Upon walking on floor two days later the tiles were moving and the grout was coming out. I called back to report faulty work. This happened TWO MORE TIMES with them having to return to correct job (second time: 7/18/13, third time: 7/30/13 & 7/31/13). Each time they came out to fix problem it cost me a day or two of work to be here waiting for them. On the third try they did what I thought they should have done on prior visit which was to remove tiles that were loose, reglue then regrout. They were very unapologetic throughout out this entire ordeal. Including charging us an additional $75 for their "plumbing" work to remove toilet. I will NEVER EVER hire this company again.

After working with the estimator, I made arrangements to have the work start on the 24th at 9 and the tile to be installed on the 31st at 9, to allow me time to repair damage to the wall near the toilet and to paint the walls. The estimator and scheduler were easy and pleasant to work with. The crew arrived at 7:30 on the 24th, ahead of schedule and insisted that despite what the scheduler and I had arranged the work had to be completed on one day. I spoke with Sunny Jung who told me that the person who scheduled the job with me was not the final authority on the scheduling. I felt bludgeoned by her at this point and told them to go ahead and start work, since it was becoming clear that there was an issue with communication within the company. They completed the ripout in the morning and wanted to come back at a time when I would not be home. I ended up leaving the back door open for them because they were so insistent on completing the job in one day. They returned while I was away from the house and began applying the grout. I had made arrangements to have the old vanity taken away and showed them the pedestal sink I had purchased for them to install. This was an extra charge that I had arranged for in the contract. I told them this several times and they seemed to understand. When I came downstairs to check on progress, they had installed the old vanity. I insisted that they remove it and install the new pedestal sink. I could hear them making more phone calls. It was late in the day and I knew they were tired, but I figured that I had paid for this and deserved to have the sink of my choice installed. They refused to haul the old vanity away, so I insisted that they haul it to the curb. In my discussions with the estimator, we had agreed that the old vanity would be removed and taken away. At this point Sunny Jung showed up and made it clear that I had caused them extra work and had upset the workers. I believe that agreements made with the estimator need to be clearly communicated with the crew that shows up to do the work. Sunny Jung made it clear that she was right and that my original agreements with the company would not be honored. As I said earlier, I believe that there was a communication breakdown within the company. That said, the job they did was well-done, but I'm not sure it was worth the hassle.
Description of Work: Removed existing tiles and installed new ceramic tiles. Removed existing toilet and replaced once the grout was dry. Removed existing vanity, hauled it to the curb and replaced with owner-provided pedestal sink.

Because they were overwhelmed with their response to the offer, work could not be immediate however since I was in no rush, it worked for me. Appointment staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Workers were english limited but we were able to communicate sufficiently to get the job done. Will use again to work on other projects in my home.
Description of Work: Installed ceramic tile in bathroom floor. Also replaced toilet with more water saving capacity.

In May, I took interest in a $400 Angies List Big Deal but I knew that my bathroom size exceeded the deal maximum. I called Keassons Contracting and inquired about the additional cost. Keassons estimators came to my home on May 31 and began proposing thousands of dollars of work. They told me that the choices would be mine and promised to send me a detailed estimate within seven days. They have my address, home phone, business phone, and business email. I heard nothing until July 1, so I decided that Keassons didn't consider me a worthwhile customer. On July 1, they included me in an email to about 10 people that said only, "Please follow-up." This is my third negative experience with an Angies List Big Deal where the the contractor kept me waiting for up to a month, jacked-up the price after arriving, and provided questionable service.
Description of Work: No work done. I called Keassons Contracting in May, 2013. On May 31, they came to me home and took measurements but never sent me an estimate. No furthert communication until July 1, when they included me in an email to10 potential customers. The email said only, "Please follow-up."

Description of Work: I purchased the deal on May 31 and was contacted by phone within a day. A gentleman came out to take photos and give me an "estimate" in early june and since then i have never received the estimate- I have called several times and they keep telling me that their employee quit and that they would have to get back to me and they never do. I just want to get my money back.

Unfortunately we were not able to schedule your appointment as soon as you requested like we discussed over the phone, the next available estimator in your area would be within a week from the day you called. We had a pretty busy schedule that week and i could only respond back to you based on the estimators availability.

My overall experience with Keasson Contracting was extraordinary! This will be my contractor of choice moving forward and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have construction work done. This crew was professional and always on time. In the beginning, a proposal was given and deadlines were discussed. I was pleasantly surprised when all the deadlines were met and on budget! I was given periodic updates so I felt very comfortable with the process. In the the end, the crew cleaned up all the construction debris and I was left with a beautiful remodeled kitchen just in time for the holidays!!!
Description of Work: In the fall of 2012, I contracted with Keasson's Contracting to have my kitchen remodeled for the upcoming holiday season. The kitchen remodel included installing granite countertops, a cermanic and glass back splash with design, installation of (under the granite) stainless steel sink to include hardware. The vinyl floors were replaced with ceramic tile. The outdated wall oven and stovetop were updated to match the other stainless steel appliances. The kitchen was given a fresh coat of paint. Finally, a one tier two seater bar and stovetop island combo was built out to a two tier, four seater bar and stovetop island combo.

We've been using Keassons services for the past 3yrs for our Investment rehab projects. They are the best! Keassons is expeditious, does quality work and reasonable pricing. Our larger projects that included 2nd story additions have been surprisingly completed in 30 days, for an investor quick turnarounds are key! Keassons knows exactly how to organize and manage the project which makes the process seam so easy.
Description of Work: This was for a 2nd story addition to a Cape Code style single family house. We bought this property when it was completely run down and neglected but the house had allot of potential if a 2nd story living space was added. Keassons took on the project, demolishing the attic and roof and adding a 2nd floor with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, hallway and new stairs to the new addition. The main level was also reconfigured for an open space type Kitchen - livingroom, all bathrooms were redone and another bathroom added to the basement. When they were done the house looked spectacular, unrecognizable from it's previous state.
