We received several bids and went with another installer, but we would still recommend Dave for this type of work.

That was a horrible experience. They came in and i showed them what needed to be done and they sound like they didn't want to do the work. I literally had to put them out. Because they said we don't do this, we don't do that. Only thing i asked them to come in and do was give me an estimate, and the only thing he came in and told me was what he don't do. so they got an F as far as I'm concerned. They wouldn't even give me a quote, because I told him what I needed to do and he came in and looked around, I said well since you gonna do this, do you do dropped ceilings? He said no I don't do dropped ceilings. I said can you recommend anybody? He said no, I don't know anybody. I said I know you do dry wall and I understand that but, when I told him what I needed done. Then I took him upstairs to another part of the house where had already been done, his question to me was why didn't you go back to the person you had used before? I was like wow. Cause that person is no longer hear. That person is no longer living in Maryland. I'm like wow if you come off like this than you don't even want to do it. I sure wouldn't ask a customer that if i wanted that customers work.

David did an excellent job renovating our basement. He communicated well with us throughout the process, and provided a very reasonable estimate. He was flexible on addressing some additional work that became necessary when opening the walls, and didn't nickel and dime us for minor work. The finished product exceeded our expectations in a timely manner, and was consistent with the quoted estimate.

This job was so well done! The price was very reasonable. David gave an in-person estimate & explained the whole process & planned thoroughly. Carl completed all of the work well within the timeline. Everything looked beautiful. My paint & trim were matched perfectly and my basement was returned to an attractive, funtional space in a few days! The work area was kept clean & neat. They were on time or early each day. Both gentlemen were polite & professional and the quoted price was the finished price. David & Carl clearly take pride in the appearance & integrity of their work. I would gladly use them to remodel another room in my house when the need arises.

I ABSOLUTELY could not be HAPPIER with EVERYTHING from start to finish. From the initial meeting with Dave, he was very responsive, professional, helpful in the design and very open and honest in our discussions. I received 2 other estimates, and Dave's was by far the most reasonable and was the only estimate that was returned quickly and included specific details we discussed in our initial meeting. He's well organized and proactive in communicating throughout the entire process. There was never a time when I was not aware of the status of work, inspections, or coordination of contractors in my home to complete the work. All of the contractors were professional and completed their work as planned. Dave was also very helpful in making suggestions without increasing cost over my budget. I'm planning to do some other work in my home and definitely planning on hiring Dave again.

Dave came out on the same day I inquired on-line, gave us a quote and put us on his schedule for 2 days later, which was our issue; we needed the job done by the end of the same week. Dave and his workers completed the job, not only on-time but under budget! When does that ever happen? We already have another job for Dave to do in the near future, and look forward to a long and lasting relationship. It's hard to find a "Dave" in today's world! Thanks so much!!

Very professional. I had recently "fired" a prior contractor for dragging out the job and attempting to raise the price of the job. I then joined Angie's List to try to find a contractor to complete the job. David Kehler was a breath of fresh air! He explained what was required and how much it would cost. He started with the opening of the wall as this was my major concern. When there was no interior damage or mold he wrote up a contract and we discussed the scope of the job. The job was completed by his craftsman Carl . Carl completed the refinishing of the dining room wall including the sanding & refinishing of the "textured" surface, relocation of the furniture and all painting. When I saw what a great job Carl was doing, I called David and extended the scope of work to include the third dining room wall and hallway. Very professional--extremely neat & courteous--great workmanship! I will use David J. Kehler for future projects.

Workers worked hard and pleasantly to provide the best results. David collaborated with electrician to keep the renovation work moving. The finished result is bright, warm and demonstrates quality workmanship. He worked hard to blend the stains, materials to other parts of home. He exceeded our expectations! Pleasure to work with.

Mr. Kehler was prompt and did an outstanding job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

David, Carl, and the rest of the team that worked on my project did an amazing job. They are extremely good at the work that they do. The work was efficient, well thought out, and the product was flawless every step of the way. I was amazed by how good of a job they did. The pricing was fair and they were willing to go above and beyond when something that was agreed on was changed during the project. I also have to add that Dave and Carl were extremely personable guys that are a blast to work with. I am very pleased with the outcome of the project and its exactly how I pictured it in my head!!

The job went great and we are very pleased with the end result. Dave has very good follow-up. We had tried two other contractors before Dave and they simply did not show up or return phone calls. It was refreshing to find a contractor that actually did what he promised. Price was right in line or better than other quotes, crew was professional and the job was completed in a timely manner. While I did not end going with them for the final job (primarily due to overall cost estimate), I felt extremely confident in their ability to do the job. They were on time for the estimate, had an extremely professional attitude, and very knowledgable on the work details and able to answer all my questions.

I've never used a contractor before and did hours and hours of online research. Dave promptly responded to an estimate request and looked over the space. He listened to my ideas and presented additional ideas. I loved his personality. A professional estimate was provided a few days later. I asked for a specific "line by line" estimate versus a overall estimate. This was very important to me as I had a set amount of funding for this project. I was able to choose what portion of the project I wanted his team to complete and what portion could be completed at a later date. I felt the price for the amount of work that was required and time they spent here was very fair. Never working with a contractor before and watching all of those 'TV" remodel shows, I thought there was a strong possibility that additional funding would be required for "unforeseen" problems. Nope! Even though they did some additional things (even fixed a broken baseboard that was not part of the project, and painted the stairwell) the estimate never changed. They communicated everyday and were punctual. Work ended mid-day so we were able to attend to our personal day to day things we needed to do, which was awesome. I trusted them in my home without reservation. Dave has an electrician and a plumber that works with him. They are great and forward thinking people for the potential a of future project. The electrician ran extra wire under the ceiling drywall just in case we needed to add another electric box later in life. Doing this would prevent someone from having to go through the ceiling at a later date. He did not HAVE to do this and I would have never thought of it so I appreciated this "extra" he did for us. He also moved an ugly Verizon back up battery box and installed it tucked away behind some custom doors Carl built. Fabulous! The lighting and electrical work he did was perfect. Now let me tell you about Carl. Carl works with Dave to complete projects. He is a working machine! He is a wonderful, personable man that did a lot of the work. He is a dream contractor, neat, tidy, and skilled. We LOVE Carl! We love Dave too, he is easy to talk to and get along with. I didn't feel weird asking him questions. I also learned a few things from them. Dave and his crew are top notch. We are very pleased with everything. I am now starting a new budget for him to do some additional projects. Also they were so accommodating working around our schedule. This was important for us and we couldn't be happier. Thank you for all you did for us.

Updated an older home which involved changing the floor plan, removing walls, and framing work including adding a new hallway, closets and doorways. Paneling and ceilings were demoed as well and new sheetrock was applied. Window trim, door trim and baseboards were replaced. New flooring was installed. Dave and his crew did an excellent job. The crew was prompt, friendly and very professional. The work performed is high quality and there were no issues whatsoever. I'm very satisified with the work. I was the general contractor and had to coordinate three different contractors for this and through out the process David Kehler and his team were very flexible and were able to respond quickly to get the job done. The drywall work was the best I have ever seen. My painter was so impressed that he requested the name of the drywall company. The basement looks much better than before the flood. You can't go wrong with this contractor.

David did an outstanding job and was very processional and helpful in the planning, execution, and follow up process. I highlight recommend him to anyone and we will use him again when needed.

Excellent workmanship. I originally hired Dave to fix some drywall problems in my house. He did an excellent job and was very easy to work with so I asked him about building a deck. He usually does interior jobs and has never done a deck but said he would be more than happy to work with me on it. I accepted the contract and in three days I have my beautiful deck I always wanted. I can not stress how easy he is to work with. He is a really nice guy and will make sure the job is done right.

We are very pleased by the renovation done by David Kehler Drywall. They arrived promptly every day and went straight to work. Everyone on the Kehler team is pleasant and easy to work with. David and Karl found ways to really add some special details to the job. They were always ready with solutions and suggestions. Every worker that entered our house were workers that have worked with David before and their work was top quality. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

David Kehler was a pleasure to deal with. He responded promptly to our inquiry for an estimate, provided various options for the repair work, provided a very reasonable estimate within 1-2 days and was able to start the work immediately. David and/or his crew showed up everyday and completed the work in a timely manner. We are very happy with David's work and will definitely hire him again in the future. We have already recommended him to 2 of our neighbors.

Nothing but praise for this company. I emailed David on April 26th about getting an estimate for my basement and received a response almost immediately. He came out to give me an estimate on the work that needed to be done that evening. He was straight forward and honest with the DIY work that had already been done. David noted that he could squeeze our job in immediately if the timing worked for us, and it definitely did. David and his co-worker showed up promptly at 8am on April 28th to begin the drywall work. They came back again the next day to do a second coat of mud and then again on May 2nd to sand everything. I am so pleased with how everything turned out. In only 3 short days our basement went from seeming like a never ending project to a room ready for paint! David and his co-workers were very nice, easy to talk to, and are just downright great at what they do. The price also can't be beat and was worth every penny. We will definitely be using this company again for any future projects.

Dave Kehler was an absolutely amazing contractor to work with. We were presented with a very challenging situation in that we found our finished basement was unpermitted and due to electrical and other issues it needed to ripped out completely. This was a very challenging and scary proposition for us financially and we were also concerned about the safety of our home at the same time. After meeting with several contractors we ultimately went with Dave's company and I am truly thrilled that we did. While Dave could have brought in additional subcontractors to do the necessary plumbing and electrical he was also willing to take on just the structural component of framing and drywall. Even though he did not oversee the plumbing and electrical work in this case he was extremely flexible in working with them and provided us with valuable insights along the way. Dave was also excellent about planning with us and allowing us to make minor adjustments as well. I had meant to post this review earlier and want to offer my sincerest thanks to Dave for helping us through a challenging time. We now have a wonderful basement back that our kids love and our family uses daily. Thanks very much Dave!
