Description of Work: We needed repair to a portion of our gutters. Chesapeake Property Services put us on their schedule, great communication. e-mailed the day before to confirm the repair. Sent a detailed invoice the same day as the repair, and a receipt and thank you following the payment. Also had the gutters cleaned that day.

Description of Work: I can’t say that we were completely satisfied as there were issues with the work that was done as well as management response. We are getting ready to put our house up for sale, and your technicians did cause some problems in that regard. The pressure washers did not cover the shrubbery and damaged a couple of plants. A 15 yr old butterfly bush dropped all of its leaves and flowers 2 days after the work was done. It does seem to be reviving at this point. A new hydrangea bush had its leaves fall or turn brown also, but it seems to have survived. Luckily we were not yet ready to show the house, because half-dead looking shrubs would have been a problem! Additionally the pressure washers displaced some flashing over a second story window, leaving bare wood exposed. I feel sure your people were aware of this, but did not say anything. We noticed it a couple of days later. This required us to have another workman to go up to re-position it. It was not made clear to me in my conversation with Tony initially that cleaning the streaking on the gutters required a different service. Estimates from other companies included that in their price. Had I realized that, I would have used another company to do ALL of that work. Now I still have streaked gutters. When the duct cleaners were here, an obvious trainee pulled off a section of the surface of the painted ceiling when he removed an air duct. He apparently did not use his utility knife to cut around the vent adequately. Our painter had to repair the damage. I noticed this issue as it happened, and therefore told the workers not to remove any further ceiling vents. We could not afford to have repair painting done on more rooms!. As a result your people only cleaned the floor ducts in the house. We paid the full invoice amount even with only partial work done. Finally our painter discovered that the outside flap dryer vent was almost totally clogged even though the inside hose was cleaned. He cleaned it from the outside as he was working the day the vent cleaners were here. I had e-mailed Tony about the plant issue when I noticed it, but needed to follow up a week later with a call to get a response, and then I finally showed the plants to the vent cleaners when they were here. As far as the flashing issue, we saw it, but it was only when our painter went up on a ladder that he realized the pressure washing had been the cause of displacing the flashing. The vent cleaners were certainly aware of the damage they caused while they were here. I understand that Tony was alone in the office, but service issues along with poor management response does not present a good picture of your business practices. On a positive note, when the duct cleaners initially came out, we postponed their service because your technician identified a furnace issue that needed to be addressed before they could proceed. We did appreciate that. After this information was sent to the company, they offered not a rebate, but to clean the gutters for a discount price! Not a company we would ever use again or recommend to anyone else.

Description of Work: They power washed house, including windows. Dirt and mildew removed and house looks great.
