I received an echo 250LN leaf blower as a Christmas gift purchased from this business. I like when possible purchasing the product from the business that I intend to get service on the product, especially for durable consumer goods. Good will is important. I came in on a Saturday and spoke with a sales woman behind the counter and head repair technician, He was helpful and professional in informing me that reliability on 250LN is much better than 255LN but that I should purchase a flat wide blower attachment piece for light snow blowing. Saleswoman told me part would take two days from order to product delivery and would be approximately $17. Unfortunately other than head service technician rest of staff was extremely poor and rude. I came in on Tuesday to order the part and repair technician told me don't worry part was already ordered and the sales woman was there as well and heard our conversation Called Thursday and after a long hold was informed by sales woman that part was not in. I then asked when was part ordered and was told Wednesday. I said that with snow storm coming that I would likely not receive the part before Friday storm and was not happy with difficulty in ordering a part. I asked to speak to owner about ordering problem and she said that she would only give the owner my phone number. Given the very poor reviews of this business on the web, I had concern that part was even ordered at all. I had called my next closest Echo full service dealer Gambrill's Power Equipment and was informed that they could order the flat blower attachment and have it for me for only $7 total. I did not think that it was not very professional to not transfer me to the owner or give me his phone number and told her as such. Good business owners and management want to hear from customers happy or unhappy. I went down to business to speak to owner about ordering problem and to confirm delivery date, especially in lite of nearly 150 percent markup over other dealer. I was ordered out of business by owner. I was annoyed enough by my treatment that I called Echo to make a complaint about the dealer and to see if I could return my unused echo unit to Severna Lawn and Power and take the proceeds and purchase the unit from Gambrill's Power Equipment. Echo told me that return policy was completely dealer discretion. Given my experience, preponderance of reviews consisting of poor service, confrontational business practices, poor backing of repairs, and predatory pricing, I would strongly recommend avoiding this business.
