I arrived at the store at approximately 2:45 PM. The clerk was very abrupt and gave me a form to sign that explained that if anything happened to my phone while they were repairing it they were not liable. I told the guy I did not want to sign a form that stated that because everything on my phone was working correctly except that the screen was cracked. The touchscreen still worked perfectly, I just didn't like the esthetics. He told me not to bother to read the small print because it said that after 5 days they would keep the phone and they never keep the phone. I asked him if he knew what the small print actually said and he stood and read it out loud in front of me (obviously he had no idea before what it said) and then returned it to me and repeated that I should ignore the small print. I made him go over all of the functions of the phone in front of me and there were actually check boxes at the top of the page stating that all of these things were working that he finally checked off. He took the phone back to the technician, told me it would be $140 (every other person in there getting their screens replaced were charged about $50, but my stupid phone is the most expensive - that figures!) He told me to return in an hour and when I came back to get my phone the icons on the screen were blinking and flashing. I told him that my phone NEVER does that and he looked at it then hurriedly grabbed it and the work order and rushed back to the technician, with me calling after him "What's wrong?" He told me that my phone was just out of charge and they were charging it. I told him my phone NEVER did that when it was out of charge, there was something wrong with the screen. After about 20 minutes they came back out and told me that the screen they put on was defective and they were putting a new one on (it would be another 20 minutes). After 20 minutes they told me that it would be another 10 minutes. During this time numerous customers came in and the original tech and clerk left and new ones came in. They kept popping in and out of the back room to wait on people. After the next 10 minutes they told me something else was wrong with the phone but they were fixing it (the guy actually told me he had my back - grrr). The clerks that were leaving told me to tell the new guys that I get a free screen protector for waiting so long. Lucky me - they were out of screen protectors so I actually got a car charger free (which I needed). I finally got my phone and charger and then the new clerk tried to charge me $20 for the charger! No one had explained to him about it being free. Don't worry - I DID in no uncertain terms! The funny thing is...while I was waiting I was listening to other customers and one man brought in his phone that was repaired the day before and said he couldn't hook up to his wifi and his phone wouldn't charge. They told him there was something wrong with his home wifi (yeah, right, that just happened) and eventually convinced him that the reason his phone wasn't working correctly was because he needed a new battery. I took my phone home, charged it all night, and it ran out of charge today. I've been trying to charge it for 2 hours and it's not charging correctly. Hmmmmmmmmmm. The only reason I said I would use their services again is because they are the only game in town when it comes to repairing cell phones. The guy at Verizon said they are the best and the only ones that do it so you're stuck with their attitude and shoddy work. Apparently cell phone repair shops are big ripoffs as are cell phone providers and cell phone stores!!!! I finally left the shop after 4:30!
