Description of Work: I had Handyman Fran come in to re-caulk the kitchen sink. It took several tries to reach him and once we set a date he did warn me that he would coming from another job. He called to say he would be later that than the appointed time which I did appreciate. The work was just done so I won't really know how well the job has been done for another 24 hours. But, so far so good.

Description of Work: We have used Fran in the past, and were very happy with his work. We called him last week to install grab bars in our bathroom as I am using crutches. He came immediately, put them in, and will come back later to do the other job we need. |Fran does excellent work at a very reasonable price. We think he's terrific.

Description of Work: Fran added a wood border to the bottom of my second floor deck that is to help prevent my cat from scooting through and off the deck. This is my 3rd time using Fran and he's always responsive, does quality work and fairly priced.

Description of Work: Fran is a great guy to have in your Rolodex. Came over and gave me a free in-home estimate for several jobs. Made an appointment and came over to do the work. One item I had originally asked him to do did not get done but to be fair I did not remind him. I would recommend having a list if you have him doing multiple jobs when he comes over so both you and he and keep track of the work that needs to be done, (I had a lot of little jobs). A couple jobs did not work out because I did not have the right parts but he showed me how to do one on my own for when I purchased the correct part. I really appreciated that. Everything he has done continues to be in good working order and while just small jobs definitely relieved me of a headache. He does not do outside of the house or roof work. He is very affordable and works diligently the entire time he is there. He was there for a few hours but it was so long ago I forget what he charged. Somewhere around the $75.00 p/hr range I believe. Date of service is approximate.

Description of Work: He repaired a closet sliding door, a lock on my dining room table, and a kitchen cabinet.

Description of Work: Repaired outside wooden steps and railing, fence, fireplace tiles, several folding closet doors, and storm door. All of the work was very well done.

Description of Work: I've called Fran a couple of times for small jobs like repairing a porch door whose lock kept jamming, putting a sliding closet door back on its runner, and so on. He is prompt, makes no fuss, gets it done, and his price is utterly reasonable. I've used handymen before and Fran is by far the most professional. I am now trying to schedule him to do a couple more small things. He's in demand but worth the wait.

Description of Work: Fran assembled IKEA furniture for us, has installed ACs, always willing to do small jobs, very responsive. I'm glad to have him available.

Description of Work: Fran returned my call promptly when I called him and left a message regarding the work that I needed get done. He gave me a time to come and give an estimate. He came on time on the appointed day and accepted jobs that he was comfortable in doing. This level of honesty is rare! On the actual day of work he showed up on time and replaced three knobs in three bedrooms in record time. The work was impeccable. He also removed a wooden partition between two room cleanly. He ceiling board successfully so that drop ceiling could be installed in its place. Workmanship superb. He cleaned up after all work. Give him a call if you think you need a handyman for getting some tricky things get done. He wont disappoint you! A very rare and honest person indeed.

Description of Work: This is a very belated review for Fran based on work that he did over a year ago - as a new homeowner I have used Angie's List a lot and finally felt guilty enough today to sit down and write reviews for everyone that has helped us. Fran installed standard Home Depot blinds on all the windows in our new house, and also helped with the installation of curtain rods and some light work on cabinet hardware in our kitchen. I readily admit that the $300 cost estimate is just that -- I can't recall what we spent, and I can't find a receipt or cancelled check. But the bottom line is Fran did a great job, was easy to work with, and we would definitely call upon him again for additional help. I would highly recommend Fran to anyone seeking handyman assistance around the house.
