Handyman Fran

Fran was very professional. I was happy with his work.

He did a great job. He answered my call right away, the other handyman I called never called back. Fran came over very quickly and he was very responsible.

It went fine. He did say that he'd put me on his list for the fall to call back round to take out the air conditioners, but he never did call and I had someone else do that job. Too bad really.

Fran is really truly excellent. We've hired him three times, and he's even come up with solutions to problems I thought were beyond repair. It took a month to get on his calendar the first time, but it was well worth the wait.

The rear door of my rental apartment could not close properly because of a misalignment (door was settling). Upon arrival, Fran discovered that the door was settling a bit. He recommended readjusting the hole and latch to match the knob so the latch would catch. He measured and chiseled the opening a bit more, put the plate back on and the door was back to normal. It all took about 35 minutes.

It's hard to imagine anyone doing a better job than Fran did. He came on time (or called up to say he was running late). He's extremely versatile, and took on whatever we asked him to do. (We were especially impressed by the railing he built in the attic--a nice piece of carpentry.) He thinks out project, and executes it often with considerable ingenuity. Though this might sound corny, he takes an interest in his clients' well-being. For example, on his own initiative, he reinforced a railing going down to the cellar, which was wobbly and rather dangerous. After he had finished his work, which included a lot of winterizing, we had a energy audit performed; and he called up to ask what sort of 'grades' the house received. At the same time, he's perfectly business-like; doesn't use up a lot of time chatting (he charges by the hour); and provides detailed bills.

I called a number of different handymen and many of them had waiting periods of several months or they told me they didn't work in my area or wanted more information on the tasks before coming out, etc. Fran was reasonable in setting up appointments and agreed to come over and take a look at everything that needed to be done. On the 2 times he has come he is professional, gives excellent advice, works efficiently, and frequently identified things that needed to be done that I was not aware of. He comes around the time we schedule and is very competent. I am impressed with everything that he has done so far including changing over a weather kit from the front door which was not working properly to the back door which is now sealed nicely. The pricing is very reasonable and he makes out a detailed receipt with each task completed. I plan to have him come back to do some painting and additional odd jobs. I cannot say enough nice things about Handyman Fran.

He is a one-man operation. He does projects and also does work by the hour. He has done completely random pieces of work in my house, from installing a new door to winterizing some doors and windows to grouting my tub to helping with some closet renovation. He charges about $54 an hour. He is very responsive and very clear about what he can do. He is clear about explaining the project, in terms of what I am looking for and what is possible to be done. I would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future.

Fran was very accommodating and easy to work with. He suggested remedies with our budget in mind and performed all projects in a timely manner. Fran did an excellent job and we would highly recommend him.

They were professional, neat, and did a quality job. They were also fast and reliable. The work was perfect, and it wasn?t too expensive either.

We had a number of small jobs and he took care of it and I felt he was well worth it. His prices were pretty decent and he did good work too.

Fran's excellent reputation is richly-deserved. He is very busy, but it's really very easy to schedule time with him. He is very professional and confirms appointments and calls if he might be late. I have a long list of way-overdue tasks around my house and he's working his way through them very quickly and efficiently. He's already completed all of the listed tasks in just 3 days of work. He goes through Home Depot like a whirlwind because he knows where everything is and exactly what he wants. He is very clear about explaining alternatives, tradeoffs, and will tell me what HE would do if it were his own house. He works very quickly because he knows exactly what he's doing. There is a lot more work to be done, including a kitchen overhaul, and I'm really looking foward to getting this done under Fran's supervision. It sounds corny, but Fran has changed my life! I'm no longer letting things go because I don't know where to start, what to buy, or what to do!

Fran is great. He is personable and a skilled handyman. He makes an effort to get over as soon as he can.

We booked Fran for a date in July. (His schedule fills quickly.) Thankfully he was able to squeeze us in much earlier. My husband and I are very detail oriented and Fran is the perfect handyman for us. His assembly work was solid and precise. He took care with the furniture, but also with our hardwood floors and the walls as he moved things around. I simply don't have enough good things to say about his work. Handyman Fran charges fair prices. He comes out promptly and does excellent work. He is very personable and I could not possibly be more satisfied with him.

Fran was easy to get in touch with and completed the work quickly. It was a relatively simple job, but he did it very well.

Showed up on time, was friendly and worked efficiently. The work was of excellent quality and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely use again.

Fran was great. He built out one of two walls with a door to give us a chance to decide if we liked his work before he continued. Of course his work was perfect and we had him finish the second wall and door as well as put in a new window with dryer vents and add a light fixture to the ceiling. All in the basement. Fran was courteous and unassuming. He has a great personality - friendly and down to earth. He described in detail everything he was going to do before he started. He did the work across several days which worked out fine with our schedule. We also felt that his rates are more than fair. He pretty much ended where he originally quoted us, which kept us from blowing any budget. We loved Fran's work and will certainly use his skills again. We highly recommend him.

My handy man always calls before he comes to make sure that we are ready for him. He is very human with us, very warm and connecting. I've known him for a few months, and have used him several times. I will call him again for any other work I may need in the future.

I found him personable. I thought he did good work at a fair price. I had to reserve his time about 2 months in advance, which I was fine with.

Fran was terrific! He came exactly when he said he would and did excellent work. He is a nice person to have around as well. He spent about a day with us.

The work seems to be done properly. Professional. I trusted him in my house when I wasn't there. He returns calls. A good person. The problem was I felt like he was a little bit inefficient with my time. He charged me by the hour. I left him alone at my home for 5 1/2 hours and he didn't get to all of the tasks I thought he should've been able to get to.
