Steve and his crew showed up at 7am on day #1 (and every day that they worked for us) as promised. It took them about two days to re-support the decking and about 2 days to lay down the new Azek decking and 2 days to build the stairs and put up the railings. We had thought that we would just use our old deck lattice to keep costs down, but after seeing the new deck, we knew that such a masterpiece deserved fresh cedar lattice. Steve took about 2 more days to put up the lattice. He even used some extra lattice to cover an opening near the water meter so that our new puppy wouldn't have an "escape route".We are so pleased with all of the work that Centerline Construction put into our project and are enjoying our deck every day!
Description of Work: We had an existing deck on the side of our house that was not properly installed and was in disrepair. Therefore, besides the wood splintering, the supporting beams were not adequate. Steve Walsh came by the same day that I called him to investigate the project. He gave me quotes on simply repairing the supporting beams and some of the wood and he also gave us a quote to repair the beams and to replace the wood with Azek so that we would not be left with future repairs. We decided to do the larger project and we are so pleased with the outcome.Steve and his crew started the following week and worked tirelessly to finish our project. They were very respectful of our time and space and knowing that we have 4 small children, they also properly cleaned the construction area at the end of each day. Steve was at our home every day and supervised his very qualified crew. Steve was also in constant contact with us, calling if he was delayed and giving us accurate estimates about how much more work needed to be done. On the final day of the project, he did not have enough room in the truck for some excess decking that he had to leave behind, but assured us that his crew would pick it up on Monday. Sure enough, without a reminder call from us, all of the scaps are gone! I have never worked with such an honest and reliable construction company!

We signed contract with the contractor on August 15, 2011. He set up some scaffolding next to garage a week later. Three months, one hurricane and 14 rainstorms later we are still waiting, and the water is still coming in. Contractor no longer answers our calls, and winter is coming. He is holding our deposits of $3500. We have called and asked for them back many times. The water coming in the roof has destroyed some furniture and much of the ceiling. In October, he secured a large tarp to our roof which lessened the water coming in. The tarp blew off, damaging our gutters a month later. We called the contractor and asked him to remove the tarp, but ultimately had to hire another contractor to take off the tarp. We would like the deposits back so we can hire another roofing contractor before it becomes too cold to put on a rubber roof. This was a bad experience all around.
Description of Work: Replacement of large flat roof over our dormer, about 600 sq. ft. with a rubber roof, including added insulation. Replacement of our garage roof.

It started out really well. The first bathroom was for our tenants, and had to be done while they were on vacation for seven days. They missed the deadline by one day, but that is understandable. Bathroom quality was OK considering the time constraints. Tiling and finish work was visibly sloppy. The pricing was good, but we were not told up-front that the price did not include pulling a permit and doing the work up to a standard that would pass inspection. We found this out after the project had started, and it cost us over $1000 above the estimate, per bathroom for work that would pass inspection . That was the first of many unpleasant surprises. The second bathroom was started right on time, two weeks later, but was never quite finished. About 90% was finished within three weeks and we were able to use the shower, sink, toilet, etc. Another six percent took another four weeks, with a little bit being done every day. Thus far, it is not completed, there is still a hole in the wall that needs to be fixed and many little things that have not been fixed. The construction and plumbing of the bathroom seemed to be adequate, but the finish job is visibly very shoddy. Tiles are uneven and crooked, no care was taken with the highlight tile. They do not know how to set glass tile. I mentioned this during construction and was told that the grouting would cure many of the problems. Of course, it didn't. Large areas were left ungrouted, the grout was never sealed so that it started staining. The caulking was poorly done and has gaps in it after only a month. Some tiles are starting to come out. We called Steve many times during that period, and he did not respond. We still have a hole in our entryway wall that occurred during the renovation. There are still things on our punchlist that need to be done. The last three months have been very aggravating. We have waited for the bathroom to be completed, all the while getting no response from the contractor. Now he seems to have disappeared completely. The bathroom tiling looks disappointingly sloppy and after spending so much time, effort and energy we do not have a bathroom that we like.
Description of Work: complete renovation of two bathrooms including demolition to the studs, new plumbing and tiling.
