Description of Work: Orcutt company has worked for us for in the past twelve years or so painting some rental units we own. Their work has always been excellent and so we decided to have them paint our residence. As in the past they were punctual, professional and the quality of the work excellent.

Description of Work: Rick has always been very responsive and patient. Recently, they came to repair some peeling in a wet spot on our house. He did not charge us even though there were many calls back and forth to schedule time and dry conditions, and the repair involved two trips, for prime, and then paint. I recommend this team highly.

Description of Work: Painting of three rooms. Well done, very responsive and great to work with. Even though this is their busiest time of year, they made time for me and did a great job.

Description of Work: We needed some repainting in our condo after a winter leak stained the ceiling and part of a wall. I got one quote from a contractor we normally use that was around $800 for just plastering over the leak spot and repainting the damaged areas, which seemed unreasonable, so I found Orcutt Painting on Angie's List. Orcutt did all that plus repainted every other wall, the door, and all the trim for less than $800. |We are long-distance landlords, many many time zones away, but Rick was willing to work with us via email and phone and our tenants were very satisfied with the results and sent us pictures that look beautiful. A few times I had to follow up with an extra email or phone call to close the loop, but I was just happy that Rick was willing to deal with people who lived so far away. All in all, I was very satisfied. And I am generally pretty picky.

Description of Work: Orcutt painting did a fantastic job. They were professional, on time, friendly and the house looks great. After painting the dining room, we realized that we didn't like the color that we picked. They changed with no complaints and were totally understanding. I would recommend Rick and his team to anyone.

Description of Work: Prep wall after wall paper removal, primer, 2 coats of paint. Just what you would want from a painter, prompt, professional and attentive, use him you won't be disappointed.

Description of Work: We have worked with Orcutt painting over the years, in our condo and then, when we moved into a larger single family house, here. Orcutt has performed always with quality work, efficiency, and sticks true to their initial estimate. Recently Orcutt scraped and repainted a series of windows and casings that we'd had replaced. As well, they have given us estimates for future paint work that we intend to do, including repainting several ceilings.

Description of Work: Rick and his team did a great job painting our new home start to finish under a tight tame frame (we wanted it painted before we moved in). Rick's crew worked long days and even worked the weekend. They were a great team, good attitudes, respectful, and conscientious. After the job was complete, there was some additional trim work that I wanted done, and Rick had a painter out the next day to get it done.

Description of Work: We are very happy with the extreme professionalism and workmanship offered by Rick and his team. We first received a quote for wallpaper removal and painting on our first floor which was very competitive. We then at the last minute decided we would like Rick to prep and paint our upstairs bathroom since there was no way we could finish before our twins arrived. Rick squeezed the work in after hours and on the weekend which we greatly appreciated. Rick was also willing to work within our cost restraints allowing us to tackle some of the work to bring down the cost. We weren't fully satisfied with the wall prep and the crew was receptive and went back to fix all of our concerns before painting. End product is great.

Description of Work: Rick is a gentleman. He came to the house on the day we agreed and arrived early. We discussed what I would need. The estimate was the same as the actual contract I signed. No surprises. This morning July 23 Rick came to the house and we examined the work that was done. The painter had dome a great job but had missed one small area. Rick said he would be sending his painter back to complete the job. I am very happy with his work .

Description of Work: Rick was able to come in quickly and provide an estimate. The majority of our ceiling on the first floor was painted (~ 636 sq ft prime/seal/3 coats total) and an area in the kitchen damaged from a leak was repaired. We also had the hallway leading from the garage to the first floor painted (walls and ceiling). We were able to get things scheduled right away and I coudn't be more happy with the work done. The crew was professional, incredibly clean and fast. They took care in prep and covered everything to minimize any dust or stray paint drips on flooring or furninutre. They also took the time to clean up when they were finished. They even shook out a rug! Rick called today to see how things went and to be sure I was satisified. While this was not the least expensive quote, I knew it would be done right the first time and I'm reassured by the results. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I used Angie's list to find three painting contractors. I invited them all to see the house we purchased and got estimates. Rick stood out from the crowd right away. He is a very service oriented individual and was easy to work with. He actually visited our home three separate times. We changed our minds on several items and he was there to assist and provide updated estimates. We were also under a time crunch since we were moving in at the end of January. We closed on the home on January 11th and needed at least a week for the hard wood floors to get done. So Rick's team had to be finished within two weeks and I planned to take some of the wallpaper down myself to save some money. Rick instructed me on how to get the wallpaper down and it totally worked. Unfortunately I ran out of time and had to ask Rick to take down the rest of the paper. So basically they had a week to paint all of the interior walls, excluding the finished basement. They finished on time and went far above what we expected after we discovered a major issue with the walls in the upstairs bedrooms. We considered hiring a contractor to take down the walls completely and start fresh but our budget did not permit. Rick's team came up with a plan to plaster over the paneling and hang a special type of wallpaper designed for painting over. They didn't hang the paper but referred me to another contractor who did a great job. Keep in mind this all had to happen in a week in order to meet our schedule! The paper hanging was $1000 so all in I invested $5000. Those walls look fantastic! You would never know that underneath the bedroom walls are lousy old wood panels. They are smooth, flat, and just make everything look better. The rest of the house looks great too. You can tell the job was done with precision. Lines are cut perfectly, the walls appear to be smooth and even, and there is not a single spot of spilled paint or mess. They cleaned everything after they were done. If only my hard wood floor team was as clean (there was a lot of dust)!!

Unfortunately we could not wait the 4/5 weeks before he could start, so we painted them ourselves. If we ever have any other painting needs, we would most certainly call Rick.
