I thought it went fantastic. They came when they were supposed to come. They kept everything neat. They did a great job and we didn't need them to re-do anything. The painters were quiet and polite. And communication was excellent.

We had an excellent experience throughout. Rick Orcutt punctually kept all of his appointments. He gave a great deal of information about how he would approach the job. Once the work began, he encouraged us to use several samples of paint to be certain we liked our color choices. The men who did the work were always punctual and professional. They started and finished the job when promised. They did a lot of prep and did not cut corners. The job looks great.

Calls were answered promptly. They adjusted their schedule to accommodate our needs. Price charged was competitive.

Rick was responsive to my request for an estimate. Gave the best estimate and stuck to it. His crew was professional and did a great job.

It went well. They mostly had two guys working, and Ray himself did the check on the first day and popped over a couple of times. It wound up taking five days, and there was a lot of work. They originally thought it would be three days. The guys were professional and didn't talk much since they were Brazilian. Ray was the interpreter and was able to communicate with them. Things were a little dusty but I think they did a good job.

We had Orcutt repaint our kitchen and hallway, and patch and paint the kitchen ceiling where we moved recessed lights. Because our kitchen ceiling has that swirly sand-paint on it, Ray warned me the patches wouldn't be perfect but they'd do their best. If you are looking for the patches, you'd notice them, but otherwise they look fine and it was much cheaper than re-plastering the entire ceiling ($100 to patch, $400 to re-plaster based on another plasterer's quote). The two people who came to paint were quiet and cleaned up each evening. The job actually took a couple extra days because one of them had car trouble and Ray couldn't shift another painter over, but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine.

I heard so many good things about this company, however I think that is from the time when the company was smaller and the main owner, Rick, was in charge, however, I will not hire these guys any more unless I work directly with Rick who is very knowledgeable and excellent. The painters were fantastic.

Rick came out to assess the job and gave me an estimate both as to cost and time. He came in right on the money on both. He also advised me about the pros and cons of using different types of paint.

Rick was thorough and professional from the start. His detailed estimate arrived promptly after his initial visit. His crew did the work in the time allotted. The final cost was slightly higher than estimated, with good reason (due to changes in the work that needed to be done between his first visit and the start date of the actual work). Rick was conscientious about having a proper walk-through after, to ensure that everything had been done to my satisfaction. The place looks beautiful.

It went really great. They were prompt. They were efficient. They did exactly what they said that they were going to do. Their price was good also. The quality of their work was very good.

My experience was fairly good. They were professional and had good workers. It took a lot longer than expected, but the quality of the work was good and the cost was right so we were OK with it.

They returned my email inquiry within a few days, and quickly scheduled a quote that I thought was fair. The work took about twice as many days as they had forecast. Everyone was very nice, and they cleaned up the site beautifully every day. While the final result is terrific, the process wasn't as smooth as I had hoped: we identified several quality issues throughout the job, such as inadequate prepping before painting. While they fixed every issue we raised, I was disappointed that I felt I needed to monitor the process so closely.

I'd worked with Orcutt before and had a great experience, so I readily called them again for this job. As before, the supervisor (Ray) came by to do a detailed estimate and understand the job. He promptly got back with an estimate, and we scheduled work to begin a week or so after that. Rick Orcutt himself came by to check on the job when it was completed, and was very responsive. I'd selected a dark blue wall color, and used a Benjamin Moore Aura paint as recommended by Ray and the paint dealer. It was supposed to cover in fewer coats and have a special luster on the wall. Unfortunately, it did not work well and still looked streaky after several coats. So Orcutt repainted it in a regular finish at no charge. The work was very high quality, the painter was polite and professional, cleaned up every day, and was very "low impact" on the rest of the house. Everyone who's seen the room loves it. I'd happily use them again.

Overall experience was okay because there was a young man that was not professional and might have been in training and also did not do well. The older man was very professional.

When Rick Orcutt came to give me an estimate, he seemed familiar with old houses and how to handle the problems with the plaster and cracks. He told me that they wouldn't know how bad the walls were until the paper was removed, but would call a plasterer if needed. Rick came with the workers the first day to introduce them to us. We had moved out most of the furniture in the rooms, but they were very agreeable moving and working around the remaining china cabinet, dining room table and couch. Rich agreed to use the Benjamen Moore Aura paint we wanted, and was thrilled that we already had the colors picked out and paint chips marked indicating which walls and rooms to paint with the colors. He did not charge us any more for the more expensive paint. They did an excellent job. They repaired the cracks so the walls and ceilings look perfect! We decided to have the floors sanded since most of the furniture was out of the rooms. If not, they would have moved everything back in for us. They even offered to come back and do the baseboards after the floors were sanded. The only issue we had was that we had to wait over a weekend to have the wall sconces put back up.

Overall, I am pleased with this company. I called Rick on a weekend and despite the fact that he was running out the door, he took the time to speak with me about my needs. He arranged a time for an estimate that was convenient for us and quoted us 500 dollars less than our other estimate. We chose him and when we went to sign the contract, he introduced his foreman, Ray, who was assigned to the job. Ray was professional and detail oriented. The place was painted perfectly. Ray's team painted two samples for us to see and were understanding of our desire to do so. One room was painted the wrong color trim and they were responsive in fixing it with professionalism. They took responsibility for the error and fixed it with ease. While we are quite happy with the final product, it took 2 1/2 weeks to complete and we found this to be a bit excessive. I believe if we had been more persistent and assertive that things may have happened at a quicker pace. Despite the time, the estimate did not go up. We'd use the services of this company again.

They did a great job! They were reliable, helpful and communicative. They cleaned up very thoroughly each day and let us know exactly what the next steps were and when they would occur.

They were here on time. They were clean and professional. There were no overages in the estimate and they were very pleasant to work with. Rich came over right away to provide the estimate. They came in right in the middle of the other estimates we got and he came highly recommended.

We found Orcutt Painting on Angie's List and were happy with the results. Their responsiveness and customer service were excellent. We had a short time window from when we closed on the house to when we were scheduled to move and wanted to have the painting completed prior to moving. They were fast coming out to give us an estimate and also in starting and completing the work. We even increased the scope of work a bit after they started the job and they still accomodated our timing. The people were nice and pleasant to work with. When we noticed a couple of places that we wanted to have retouched (to create a cleaner edge, for example), they were responsive and did the retouching without hassle.

The painters did a fine job. They patched all holes, washed and sanded the rooms that had wallpaper and were very clean and precise in their work. They worked very quickly and were able to complete the job in just five days. I was very impressed and would hire them again.

I could not have been happier. Manny, who was the lead painter on the job was fabulous. All of the workers were courteous, mindful of our family needs and were unbelievably clean; picked up every day and put all of their equipment in the corner out of the way. I interviewed and got quotes from 3 painters and they came in with the lowest bid, which made me a bit nervous, but I went on the recommendations from the list as well as speaking with references provided.

I'm very happy with Orcutt Painting. My contact guy was Ray, who was ALWAYS very easy to reach, very helpful, and good about returning calls. Also very patient with my last minute paint decision. The painting crew were very precise with their prepwork and painting. They were very very NEAT. And really quiet too! The rooms look great. They forgot to paint the bottom section of the China cabinet interior, but came right back and took care of that when I called. (This was before the final walk through with Ray) I am very happy with my new rooms!

They could have been more careful. They neglected some areas, in the corners and around the switch plates. It looks okay during the day but at night when the lights are on you can see a lot of the problem areas. They were nice and polite but they could have taken more care. The guy I hired was not the guy that did the work, I thought he was going to do the job. He should have at least come back to check the job.

This was an extremely professional company from the beginning. When Ray could not make our first appointment he called in advance and we rescheduled. He emailed me a price and then came over with the contract. The men that worked on the job were always punctual and very polite. They were hard workers and were extremely considerate of our furnishings. They moved furniture and were careful with how they stored their materials when they left at night. The job took about 4 days and the results are outstanding. When we were not too sure of our color choice, Ray told us not to worry that we could change in the middle of the job but it proved not necessary. We are extremely pleased at the finished results and I would hire this company again. Plus we did receive a 5% discount for being Angie's List members.

Rick and his team painted several rooms in our recently purchased home. They were extremely professional, timely and efficient. And the work is beautiful.
