I am very grateful to Rick and his crew. They helped my elderly parents out by providing very quick and professional service, even though they were extremely busy, This project required my folks to move out of their bedroom so a quick response was necessary. Rick came immediately to see the problems that existed with a bedroom ceiling that was falling down. Although he could not do the plastering job because he does not provide plastering services, he made the appropriate recommendations. He came a second time as soon as the plastering was finished to examine the plastering project and to give an estimate. His crew did an impeccable job with the painting of the room. My parents were very happy and pleasantly surprised by their professional presence, the quality of the work and with the clean up. I would highly recommend Rick for any painting project.

Rick sent out his guy, Ray to look at the job and consult with him regarding the estimate, etc. This was on 2 separate occasions as I had the bedroom and hallway done about a year ago, then decided to have the bathroom done last December. I was so pleased with how the ice dam damage was repaired. Ray and Clebson did a great job...but that's nothing compared to how professionally done the painting was! I'm very particular and I notice EVERYTHING. I defy anyone to spot one flaw in the painting and the cutting in. Remarkable! In the bathroom, not only were the walls painted, but I wanted the vanity and built-in drawers painted as well. They were previously varnished or lacquered so needed sanding, priming, etc. Again, I could not be happier with how well they did this. And kudos to Ray for putting up with my indecision over color choice!! I also appreciate how neat and tidy Ray and Clebson are; the clean-up was fabulously done as well.Overall, I could not be happier with how everything was done...and I will definitely call Rick Orcutt again for my next painting project...kitchen anyone??!!

Rick Orcutt quoted us on painting one room and staining new windows. We hired Rick and and his team. They completed the job in the timeframe and for the price quoted. They arrived to do the job as expected, reviewed the job requirements with us and responded to questions and concerns while the job was in progress. We wanted to update the room to be brighter and fresher with a complete paint job. Rick Orcutt and his crew paintied the room, including the metal baseboard heating unit, and stainied the trim on two new windows we had installed. It was a difficult job, painting over 50 year old wood paneling, and required a primer and 4-5 coats of paint as well as two coats on the baseboard heating unit. We also had them stain and polyurethane the trim on two new windows we had installed in the same room by a carpenter. We have used Rick for painting before and will use he and his team to paint the exterior of our house next spring. In addition to this work, Rick helped us find a carpenter to work on updating and replacing trim and rotted sills on the exterior of the house, all needed prior to painting the exterior. Rick has been gracious and honest when we have asked him to look at other work and let us know if he can handle it or not. We definitely recommend Rick and his team.

Timely responses, friendly painting crew. I asked for a quick turnaround and they were able to make it work, staying late in the evenings and working through weekends.

Rick was on-time for the estimate and seemed very upset. He received 3 phone calls while I was trying to explain the job I needed done. He implied that he was mislead about the scope of the job. He told me that he was way too busy and if he took the job he would not meet our time requirements unless he had a crew working nights and weekends. During the tour he questioned why I wanted certain things painted and could not do patching of a hole in a ceiling. He mentioned right away that there was a seam caused by settlement and that the seam would come back. Overall he did not seem like he really wanted to do the job and seemed very busy.

Rep. came to view damage done by tenant and to provide estimate only. Rep. was very professional, and provided the estimate for court purposes. I have not yet hired this company, but I found their prices fair and will consider hiring them as soon as tenant issue is resolved.

We were completely satisfied from start to finish and feel confident that we will call on Rick and his team again in future.

I was impressed how responsive this company is. When the owner said he was going to come at 11AM, he was there at exactly 11AM. The same was true with the painters. When I had some concerns about a few small details, Rick called me to find out the specifics and the issues were taken care of immediately. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Rick and his foreman Ray.

They were great, Rick is wonderful. He's really reliable and I asked him to paint my house in 3 days which is kind of unheard of and he made it work. They came in and stayed late, he really went above and beyond. He was wonderful and they were very good.

After a week's delay, due to vacation issues on Orcutt's part, the painters came. They were very careful and professional. I could not be more pleased with the end result. The rooms look fantastic.

An excellent experience again. We have used Orcutt Painting several times, and again were very pleased with every aspect of the work. Rick called back quickly when we called to discuss the job. He scheduled a time to come and review the job and was prompt and professional. When the day came to have the room painted, Ray arrived on time. He was very professional and courteous and did a great job. The room looks beautiful, and he answered all our questions before he left. Rick followed up several days later to make sure everything was OK. Orcutt Painting has painted most of our house over the last year and a half, and every time has been a great experience, with great results. We highly recommend their work.

Rick was very prompt and fair on the original quote, he came and inspected all rooms going over all of our requests and questions. The first day of work, Rick came with his foreman, reviewed the work with him and myself. He took the time to review our color choices and make suggestions on the brand of paint. The crew came in and started working doing exactly what was requested, including patching and sanding, before painting. They were extremely professional and polite. The worked diligently all day, quietly, respecting that I was working from home. At the end of each day, they moved the furniture back so that we could sleep in the master bedroom and cleaned up from the days work. The crew explained what needed to be done for the shutters and doors, and returned to the premise multiple times to make sure the metal doors got the appropriate coats of paint due to inclement weather. All work was done quickly and efficiently. Once the work was done, Rick came back to do a walk thru to make sure we were happy with the work that was done. He even offered that the painters replace a burnt out light bulb in our cathedral ceiling in the bedroom. I have had other painters in the past, and would call Orcutt Painting without hesitation. The work was excellent!

Rick (the owner) came by on a Saturday morning to discuss the job as weekends are the only times we are available. He explained exactly what needed to be done, gave us sound advice and answered all of our questions. My wife and I felt extremely comfortable with our decision to contact Orcutt Painting Co.We received the quote promptly and decided to go ahead. Rick and his team arrived at 7.00 am Monday morning and Rick once again explained what would be done. The work lasted 4 days. The team arrived promptly each morning and made sure everything was tidied up at the end of each day. Our furniture was placed in the center of the room and was well covered and protected.The results were perfect. The room looks amazing. They even placed all the furniture back to their original positions! Rick followed up with us to make sure we were happy with the results.I highly recommend this company. If I could give an A+++ for ratings I would. Rick and his team are true professionals and an asset to Angie's List.

The painting was okay, however, their cleanup and care for the house was cavalier and unprofessional. They left garbage in the house three times. The first time I spoke with them (I also left a message with the owner about this and never got a response.) and they still left garbage two more times after this. The first time was a small amount of garbage from their lunch. The second time they left an open, untied 4 foot high plastic bag of garbage ( paint cans, wallpaper and FOOD) in the living room. Our dog discovered it, ate the garbage, and also strewed it around the living room. When they were finished with the job, we discovered a 5 ft by 5 ft plastic bag in our side yard (this time the bag was closed) that animals discovered. We had to clean up garbage all over the yard. The manager of the painters didn't get estimates for extra work in a timely manner, a few times didn't get the paint causing a delay in the work and tried to meet with me, waited a few hours but never pre-arranged or talked with me about wanting to meet. I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Rick and his crew showed up on the day the job was scheduled to start and finished the job promptly. They were very professional, taking care to confining dust to the room they were painting, cleaning up at the end of each day and insuring the cat didn't get out as they went in and out. There was a little miscommunication about a few touch ups we wanted taken care of in other rooms while they were at the house. One of the items was overlooked. Rick called after the work was completed. I mentioned that punch list item. One of his crew returned the next day and took care of it. A very good experience!

Based on positive Angie's List reviews we called Rick for an estimate. He was prompt, polite, and direct. Rick was very accommodating, coming out to our house early on a weekday morning before we had to leave for work. He was friendly and very professional. Rick went through the work we wanted to do, asked a lot of pointed questions to make sure he had all of the details, and gave us some options for approaches and materials. Armed with a lot of information, Rick provided a detailed and accurate quote within a week. Since the quote seemed reasonable for the amount of work, we went with Orcutt Painting. Rick's team was ready to start almost immediately, but were patient as we needed a couple of weeks to get some carpentry done on our stairs. On the first day of painting, Rick arrived with his foreman and went though the whole job to make sure we were all on the same page. By the end of the first day, all of the trim had been prepped and primed. The trim in our house was stained wood, a dark tint. We were having it painted white, so it needed to be sanded and primed first. The speed and quality of this work was amazing. Rick's team carefully moved and covered all of our furniture and left the rooms each evening very tidy and clean. They made minor repairs on the walls before painting and were careful with removing and reinstalling our banister. The painters finished everything within 3 days! Having painted 5 rooms ourselves before this, it would have taken us 2-3 times longer if we had to work in the evenings after work. The finished job was of extremely high quality. The result was transformative as our rooms are now much brighter and fresh looking. Rick personally came out the following Saturday morning to inspect the work and ensure that we were happy. The level of professionalism, high quality work, accessibility, and promptness demonstrated by Orcutt Painting was really impressive. We will use them for any future painting needs we have.

I called the company and Rick Orcutt immediately picked up. We needed someone to come pretty quickly b/c of a scheduled open house, and I wasn't sure if it would be possible with our time frame. Rick graciously fit us in for an estimate. He arrived on time and gave a very honest and professional assessment of the situation (he even told us that he didn't think painting was necessary, but we wanted to go forward). The estimate seemed more than fair, so we booked the company. As promised, a foreman and another painter showed up promptly a few days later (as scheduled) to do the paint job. They stayed all day and finished the job, patching up holes and seams and painting all of the trim. It looked like a new condo when they were finished. An A++++ experience from start to finish.

Rick and his crew were great to work with. Rick called back quickly and they were always on time. Our schedule was very hectic and we had to put off the work a number of times, he was very flexible with rescheduling. The crew are courteous, worked very quickly and the workmanship was excellent. They were extremely focused on making sure that we were happy with the work. We are. We will definitely use them in the future. Thank you

I called Rick to get an estimate for painting our stairway and hall. He contacted me right away and we set up a time for an estimate. RIck came as scheduled (actually a few minutes early which was great) and had an estimate to me as promised within 2 days. I let him know that I had a small window of time in which to get the work completed and he graciously accommodated my schedule. Our job was scheduled for 8am on Tuesday. RIck came about 15 minutes ahead of his painters to review the job with me. He then brought in one of the painters and we all reviewed the job together. The hallway and stairs were painted beautifully and the crew made sure that there was no paint left anywhere on the stairs or woodwork. Rick contacted me after the job was completed to see if I had any concerns. I am extremely impressed by the professionalism and high quality work of Orcutt Painting. I would highly recommend them and will surely work with them in the future!

Extremely pleased with Rick Orcutt and his team. I requested that they work between 9-5 so we actually didn't see them at all and had no interruption in our daily activities. When one of his guys accidentally used a can of paint I had bought, Rick promptly reimbursed me with a check. They were punctual, professional, efficient and left our house looking clean, bright and beautiful. Highly recommended!

Rick was one of three painters that we sought bids from. He responded within 24 hours and was on time for our initial meeting. He listened to our project goals, and carefuly walked through the house examining the work to be done and asking questions. He submitted his quote within 24 hrs. and then followed up two days later to see if I had any questions. I was trying to choose between Rick and one other painter, prices were very close, both seemed professional and had excellent ratings on Angies List. I chose Rick because he was highly recommended by the decorator I am working with, Sarah the Room Therapist. Rick and his team did everything we agreed to, on time, and for the quoted price. His team kept all commitments, arriving early and on time. we are semi-retired and work part-time. When we were home the team was respectful and kept radios and voices down, They kept us informed as to what they would be working on each day and always completed their tasks. I was pleasantly surprised when they asked if they could work Saturday, and on other days added extra men when available to complete the job faster. They were careful to protect our belongings, and moved the furniture. Simon was on the job here during the whole project and in additon to his painting skills, he was polite ,conscientious, and helpful. Simon made several helpful suggestions, such as replacing light switch plates and window fixtures, and then installed them. My husband smokes a pipe and Rick and Sarah recommended certain paint and other hints to deal with the smoke residue. Overall the quality of the work is excellent. I would hire Orcutt again, and have already recommended Rick to a friend.

Rick responded right away and arranged to come give me a quote in a really short time. (We wanted the job done quickly). His team were great to work with, very neat, very polite. The only slightly odd thing was they didn't have the paint prior to arrival, so one person stayed to "prep" the walls, which didn't take much, so largely was sitting around for an hour waiting for the paint to get delivered. (But, I wasn't paying by the hour, so not my concern! ;) Rick came by the next day to check the work. He's very responsive and easy to work with.

Very professional, this was a wonderful experience. Everyone who did the work was respectful, they were very clean, you couldn't tell they were here.

Great experience. Rick came out within 2 days to look at the job and provide an estimate. He provided a quote quickly, and when I accepted the quote he was able to start the job the next week to accomodate an unusual situation (my pregnant wife was going to be out of town for the week and I preferred to have the painting done when she was away so that she would not have to breath the fumes.) When Rick and his crew came to start the job, they offered to buy and use the no-fume paint, and did not charge me extra for it. Rick's crew did a great job in all aspects of the job, and were meticulous in every aspect of the work. They cleaned up everything when they were finished, showed up ontime every day, and were very courteous in not disturbing me (I was working from home a few days while they were here.) The price was reasonable and exactly as quoted, and the walls look great. All in all, a very positive experience, and I would absolutely use this service provider again.
