It was a really reasonable price. The cabinets are great, they?re an ?A?, they have been really great. They had really helpful people in the showroom, they custom fit the spaces that we need. I would recommend making sure that you have all of your measurements exact. The cabinets have been up for about 2 years and have held really well and we are really happy with them. It was a good shopping experience!

I liked how everything was displayed there as well as their real life settings that could guide you through each room of the house. I liked how well it flowed. I also liked the place where they have all the household goods. The warehouse was set up so easily that you can find your own boxes and take them up to the register. The only thing that I did not like was the long line. But outside of that, it was a great shopping experience. I had no problem putting the furniture altogether by myself. The instructions were simple. All the parts were there and all the pieces were in great shape. I am 49 years old and I did that all on my own. I had no problems. They also open early.
Description of Work: I bought a couch, a chair, a stool, a bed and a whole bunch of other assorted housing products like kitchen wares and things in the bedroom from IKEA Stoughton last month.

We have generally had good experiences with our in-store purchases at various Ikea locations. This is the first time we have ordered any customized products, and it has been an awful ordeal. When we were at the store, the people in the kitchen department said that they had to order our parts in 2 separate orders and we needed to go downstairs to delivery to get them to combine the orders so that we would not be charged 2 delivery fees, and so that all of our items would arrive together. We had to wait in a long line, and then the person in delivery was not able to do that himself. He had to call other people to have them do it, and he assured us that the orders would be combined. The day before the scheduled delivery, the delivery company called to give us a time of delivery, which was a 4-hour range. They came late on the day of delivery, so our time was wasted. The delivery company did not have the items from one of the two orders that had allegedly been merged, and they also did not have some of the items from the other order. We spent hours and hours over a period of weeks trying to get a representative on the phone to report this issue and get information about how it would be rectified. Several times, we were put on hold for 10 minutes before being transferred to a voicemail service. It was extremely frustrating that they made us wait for 10 minutes before sending us to a voicemail. Then, they NEVER returned our phone calls, so it seems as though no one was monitoring that message service. We finally got an Ikea representative to give us a date for the delivery of our replacement parts, including a range of times. We waited at home, and the delivery company never came. When we contacted them, they said they had never received the items nor been notified about the shipment order. So, we went through the ordeal again of trying to get a person on the phone. In the meantime, we had all of the items from the original delivery wasting space in our home. We finally got a THIRD date for the delivery (3 1/2 weeks after the original scheduled delivery). We told the representative that we had been significantly burdened by this process, and we were offered a mere $50 gift certificate. (We appreciate this token, but it does not make up for the major inconvenience). On this third delivery date, the delivery company did arrive promptly within the delivery window, and we were able to begin assembling our product.. About half way through, we realized that we were missing a crucial pieces for the cabinet that we had designed with the kitchen department. We called Ikea customer service, and they said that there was no record that such a product even exists. We had also noticed that they delivered AND CHARGED us for additional products that were not a part of our order. When we finally got a person on the phone, they gave us the option of bringing the items back for a full refund, but offered no additional compensation for the almost month of stress and hardship that this has caused, or for the fact that returning the items would require additional difficulty in disassembling the product and bringing oversized materials back in our own vehicle. They did not offer to pick up the materials -- even the ones that were erroneously added to our order -- or to compensate us for this effort. We will certainly never participate in another customized order at Ikea ever again. We are simply shocked at the numerous places where the employees have given false information. We are shocked at the low priority given to customer service . We are extremely disappointed.

Great. Everyone is very helpful.
Description of Work: We buy a lot of things from IKEA. The biggest purchase was the kitchen which I installed myself. We spent about$2000 total for the kitchen remodel. We also recently purchased our deck set from there as well. Can't beat the price. Some people put it down because it's furniture you have to assemble and therefore it's cheap quality. But everything is actually very trendy. Even if it lasts 10 years you'll probably want to change things out anyways and you can do it because it is only a quarter of the cost of other furniture.

I used to be a very big IKEA fan, but they are changing and not in a good way. The materials are cheaper than those used in older furniture that I've purchased from them. A couple of the items had knicks and scratches on them upon removal from the box. The office organizer I bought was missing a key piece of a handle. When I tried to contact IKEA, their on-line assistant was useless. Upon calling the store the next day, I called twice waiting more than twenty minutes each time on hold for a human to answer. When someone did pick up, they acted like no one was there and hung up. I ended up going to a home improvement store and buying handles rather than drive out to Stoughton when they might not even have the part. They are really slipping on customer service and quality.

We really like the selection and service that they have. The sales people are very low pressure and we feel comfortable just browsing. We never feel any anxiety about being pestered by the sales people. They will help if we need it. Most of what they have is shipped in boxes and you assemble it at home so it is easy to haul.
