Description of Work: We moved locally within Durham, NH. These guys went above and beyond to really help us get out of our place and checked where all the furniture was landing at the new house. They were so thorough and fantastic..was my best moving experience ever.

Description of Work: Great moving job. They packed all paintings mirrors and lamps - I packed the rest. It could not have been better. The estimate was off by quite a bit - and the move was quite a bit more than I expected - but in the end it was worth it to have had it gone so smoothly. The placement of furniture was very well done - even when I wasn't on hand.

Description of Work: Came early, foreman met with me personally to review job and during move and after, checking in with me as to my satisfaction. Also movers ran back and forth between house and truck, stopping any time if I had questions, always polite and helpful, greatful for cold water I provided and a tip for each person.

Description of Work: The originally moved our belongings into a storage unit and after 2 years we finely found our home and remembering how well they were with the first move we decided that we would use them again. | |We had 3 guys and with in 3 1/2 hour they had completely emptied a very, very full 10x10 storage unit into our new home putting together items and moved them to where i had ask them be placed. | |They guys were extremely nice and very professional. There have been 2 other moving companies in the past who have lost and destroyed items. Genital Giant will be the only company we ever use to move.

Description of Work: They moved furniture from two different locations to a third location. It was completed very professionally. The three men who moved us were very pleasant and efficient.

Description of Work: I moved in two stages on two different dates. Some of the movers were the same and some not, but everybody was very professional, cheerful and respectful. Very attentive to what I wanted and needed. Very careful with the furniture but still had a couple of small accidents to which they responded immediately: a mirror was broken and they fixed it. Also, a handle of a cabinet broke and they got it fixed at no cost and did a wonderful job matching the original. I definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: They picked up seven pieces of furniture from my old home in September 2013, stored them, repaired two of the antiques and then, when I found space delivered the six pieces to my new apartment.

Description of Work: They moved my belongings from a studio apartment to a one-bedroom condo that was across town. They were punctual and efficient, and charged what they said they would.

Description of Work: Never responded to my email through Angie's List re. a ~4,000 SF house move from Belmont to Cambridge. I'd used them before. Maybe they don't do local moves any more. Disappointing. If you're looking to move, probably best to contact a large no. of folks--only two of the six I reached out to got back to me.

Description of Work: Everything about our experience with gentle giant was exceptional from start to finish. up front coordination on the estimates and moving dates were well orchestrated with very good communications. On the day of the move, Matt and crew arrived on time, performed a walk through and got to work. They were courteous, friendly and very professional. Our furniture and house were treated with respect throughout the day. On the move in process they were equally professional, respectful and made the the entire process as stress free as possible. Our treadmill wouldn't fit through a tight corner, so they disassembled the frame and got it into the room we wanted, in record time. We give gentle giant our highest possible recommendation and will use them again.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate. Their process - first on line and then in person - was well done, helped me understand what will be involved. But their price was almost double that of another equally-recommended company. I will not go with Gentle Giant.

Description of Work: Price was nearly four times higher than other estimates. Despite great reviews, the cost prohibited me from using their services.
