Description of Work: All of the As are a clear indication of the excellence of the service. I have several pieces of very old and fragile furniture....all handled with extreme care.

Description of Work: They were wonderful. The guys that arrived were wonderful. They were industrious , nice and did a terrific job from bringing us the boxes to pack, to packing, and moving us. | |My only complaint was that they were very expensive. We moved maybe 12 miles give or take and the cost was high. The guys that moved us said they had never seen anyone pack as much and as well as we did ourselves. When they arrived, we were told that they were going to work longer on the cheaper day, (packing), to save us money on the more expensive following day (actually move and unload). Great so far. We had to keep all of our goods on the van until the next day when we closed on our new place which added to the cost, understood. The following day we moved. They unrolled our pre-cleaned rolled up carpets, helped us hook up the washer and dryer and reassembled beds and whatnots and left the unpacking to us. When we were told the final bill it was about $1000-1,500 over the highest estimated quote. I called the company and gave them the above speech and asked why. I never got an answer but they did give me $500.00 back which I gladly accepted. | |They do recycle their moving boxes and packing materials. After they picked ours up they called to say they had found a small item we had missed when we unpacked and immediately sent it back to us. Turned out to be an important small |item and to me this was worth the price. What you are paying for is well trained, professionals who not only honest but nice to be with during a very stressful time. I would use them again if God help us, we have to move ever again. |

Description of Work: Service and staff are excellent. This is the second time in two yrs I used Gentle Giant. They went above and beyond and really took pride in their work. They were early and patiently waited and took in interest to carefully handle my belongings. Although their prices were a little higher, the money was well spent given everything they did to complete the job very efficiently.

Description of Work: They were careless with our stuff. We had to store for a month and a number of items were dirty or had dings: a lamp was broken and overall a lousy job.

Description of Work: Some boxes were stored at their facility with a monthly fee. I decided to have one storage unit of boxes delivered to me. The crew of 2 men were helpful and professional. Gentle Giant may not be the cheapest, but they certainly are the best. All boxes arrived in great condition.

Description of Work: I used Gentle Giant to move from a studio apartment in Brookline (Coolidge Corner) to my new place in Brookline (Washington Square). It look about two hours to move out of one place and into the other. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, from getting quotes to the movers. Nothing was broken or damaged in the process. The movers really are gentle with your belongs.

Description of Work: GG moved my belongings from my home to their vaults on their loading dock. They stored them there for 8 days. Then they delivered my belongings to my new condo.

Description of Work: This was stage 1 in a sequence: clearing a room for new flooring, packing moving many items to storage in anticipation of putting the house up for sale. The supervisor and staff were hardworking, patient, efficient, and pleasant. Another review will follow when we've progressed through all stages of moving.

Description of Work: Gentle Giant are incredibly professional and reliable. We had a pretty complicated move - moving three floors of furniture and boxes to a second floor and to a storage unit. The guys were efficient, careful, friendly and accommodating. The move went better than expected! I will never use another mover again!

Description of Work: They moved a couch from our front porch into a room on the third floor. The couch was left by other movers who moved it from the Cape and said they couldn't get it into the house without hoisting it over the 2nd floor porch. I contracted with Gentle Giant to do that hoist, but when they got to the house, they figured out how to get it in through the front doors, with the other movers had said was impossible. It was also quite difficult to get it into the room on the third floor, but they were very careful and thoughtful and finally figured it out. They then charged me the minimum (2 hours @ $190/hour) even though I'd contracted for the hoist and they'd had to send 3 people for that. They were a pleasure to work with throughout. Also, I'd schedule for 12-4, but they called me at 9 to say a 9:30 slot had opened up, and I took that. They arrived promptly and were finished in less than an hour.
