Mr. [Member Name Removed] contacted us by email on Sunday 11/24/18 at 4:15pm inquiring about plowing services. We replied the next morning (Monday) at 8:24am to let him know we are not able to take on his plowing. He then called our office later that day and asked again about plowing. I explained that our plow routes are full and also our policy is that we only plow for clients we provide landscaping for. Also, earlier this season Mr. [Member Name Removed] requested a quote for a landscaping project. We provided the quote in a timely manner and then he asked to have us come back and take new measurements and revise the whole quote because he reduced the scope of work. It took us about 2 weeks to provide revised quote as our Estimator was very busy and backlogged at that time. We provided the revised quote and Mr. [Member Name Removed] said he would think it over. We followed up on the quote a week later to see if he had any questions and he said he was not moving forward with the project because it took us too long to get back to him with the revision.Service Provider Response
We have spoken with [Member Name Removed] and discussed her review. We asked her to revise the review so that what she wrote is not misinterpreted. However, as of today she has not done so. We have not requested a deposit and [Member Name Removed] has not been invoiced for this project yet-therefore, she has not had to pay anything to date. The project is not completed; she had to do some work on her own prior to us completing our work. A quote was provided prior to us doing any work. [Member Name Removed] agreed to have this work done at the price quoted. She told us that the work needed to be done within a week's time. We bent over backwards re-routing crews to meet her very tight timeline and were working at her property on the very next business day. Upon completion of this work, we met with her and she expressed that she had thought more was included. We did not want a negative experience for her so we agreed to do this work at no additional cost to her. We have been waiting on her to let us know when she is ready for our return. [Member Name Removed] called us today (10/2/17) to say she is now ready.Service Provider Response
[Member Name Removed], Thank you for posting this review. It helps to have feedback from our clients. When your wife met with our Estimator Bill, she indicated that certain areas were going to be planted with trees which would mean they would be planting beds. Those areas were not included in the hydroseeding price and the written contract that she signed clearly stated the square footage of hydroseeding which did not include those areas. We had given your wife a start date (as she had requested this) and due to excessive rain in the forecast we pushed the job back. Then we were still having rain (it was 6 days in a row of rain that week) and decided it would be best to complete the work because we felt she would be upset if we kept pushing the job back. Most clients don't like to keep have work delayed like that. We knew that we would make any repairs to the lawn areas necessary and had thought it was the best decision to do the work then so your wife didn't have to wait another whole week. You mention we were supposed to level your compost pile but that is not included anywhere in your signed contract. I'm sorry, but I know nothing about this issue. Also when I spoke to your wife upon job completion she never mentioned this to me. Again, thank you for your feedback. Best, Jeannie Fine, PresidentService Provider Response
[Member name removed] purchased 4 labor hours of landscaping through E-Commerce. Our Manager Bill Reynolds went out and met with [Member name removed] to discuss his purchase prior to us performing the work. Bill explained that the whole property could not be cleaned up in the time that he purchased but [Member name removed] was not interested in receiving a quote for what the additional manhours would cost. We sent a 2 man crew out on November 30th, 2016 and they worked on site for 2 hours. They cleaned up leaves and cleared brush. The client met the crew on site so that he could show them where he wanted them to start (as previously stated he was well aware the entire yard could not be cleaned in the 4 manhours of labor he purchased so he had requested to show the crew the area he wanted them to start in). [Member name removed] expressed frustration once the job was completed and said that we should have been able to clean his whole yard in 1 hour. Bill went out and met with [Member name removed] once again. He stated that his neighbor had a crew come in with 2 men for 1 hour and the yard was left spotless. Bill explained that he was not comparing apples to apples. The neighbor’s yard is manicured and professionally landscaped. [Member name removed] yard was overrun with brush, debris, leaves, etc. and not been maintained at all. [Member name removed] also stated that we were supposed to remove all debris off site. Bill said we did remove the yard waste while on site. [Member name removed] stated that we left pressure treated timbers, concrete chunks, metal fence posts and a gas can, as well as pvc pipe and trash on site-Bill explained that is not yard waste and we are not responsible to remove it. [Member name removed] asked how much it would cost to have an 36-38” Oak tree removed. Bill said a ballpark price would be $1200-1500. [Member name removed] stated that if we removed this tree and charged him only $1000 he would not give us a poor review on Angie’s List and if we don’t do this tree removal for that price he will give a us very bad review online. In all our years in business (almost 30!) we have never been threatened/blackmailed like that. On December 9th, 2016 I called [Member name removed] and we discussed his dissatisfaction. He kept saying that we did not accomplish much work in the 2 hours because we did not have professional equipment. He stated the crew had blowers, buckets and a tarp to gather leaves on. I explained that it was not buckets but large landscaping barrels and that the tarp is a traditional way to remove leaves. He said that he paid for a vacuum to come and he did not get that service. I explained that he in no way purchased the vacuum service. We do have 2 vacuums but we did not sell that service on E-Commerce. I explained that it does not mention on the E-Commerce site anything about a vacuum service and that he received the exact service that he purchased.Service Provider Response
