We hosted Trevor at our new home the day of our closing for a free consultation (from what we understood). Given she is pregnant and already dealing with enough stress, we thought it would be the right choice to hire someone for their professional input. At the end of his walk-through Trevor outlined his approach and that he required a $2000 deposit, which would be applied against any services rendered pending execution of future contract, to be done at next week a week later. We agreed that we would consult each other and reach out to Trevor with intentions moving forward. My wife sent an email the morning following the meeting Trevor responded that he would address all of our concerns and questions in our upcoming meeting. We waited as he pushed us off, then cancelled said meeting where we would address our hesitations. After further discussions, we decided that his services were not necessary as we wanted to explore other options and prioritize before committing to a specific vendor. We then told him we would not be using his services, and we noticed that although my wife had told him we had concerns he desposited our check. We requested our funds back as he had not entered into a contract. The only response we received was that we should expect to receive a detailed invoice with applicable charges - which he said we could expect the following week. We sent texts, emails and called understand what he was paying himself for and to understand why he was witholding our funds and couldnt simply tell us "work" he had done and what he was billing us for. There should not have been such a delay to tell us what he had done, what he was charging us for, and to furnish a detailed invoice especially when we told him in the email "no further commitments" as we had concerns. We finally received the invoice 2 weeks later for $1000+, noting he spent 8.5 hours working on floor plans and proposals for our new home. When we asked to see the results of his work, Trevor refused to furnish anything, noting that it was 'his' work. If I'm not mistaken, we paid him for his services and hence we have the right to any materials resulting from such work. What's worse - he billed us for work performed after our request to cease all activities!! From our experience, Trevor is completely unprofessional, unresponsive and has no regard for his customers. We plan to pursue further legal steps due to his unlawful actions. I would highly recommend against using him in any capacity
